I think role BP bonuses are one of the biggest band-aid fixes in DBD history.

If there are way more people playing one side than the other, then it shows there is an issue with your game itself. It doesn't matter if it's "more balanced." In any game, especially a more casual game such as this, fun takes priority.

And when one role in your game is so unfun, and your game's grind is so unfun, that you need to provide bonuses, that shows a massive problem. Killer queues have been upwards of 10 minutes for most regions, and nothing is being done to address it other than this horrible band-aid.

Personally, I think it's insulting that they're dangling BP in our face for playing the role we don't enjoy. Fix the core game.

What's bad is giving incentives ostensibly as compensation for the removal of BP perks and then removing said incentives AND the BP perks.

Just don't remove them then. Nobody's saying the devs' removal of the bp incentive after introducing it was a good idea.

Cool. In other words, your skill level is too low to get good solos as killer. I'm not going to take your opinion seriously now.

Most people don't know what good solos are. They equate solo with uncoordinated players, while skirting around calling them bad, while also ignoring the plethora of solo teams out there that feel SWF level in terms of gen rush.

It still leaves us out to dry in the wind as far as grinding goes and people are understandably unhappy about this state of affairs.

After the kneejerk reactions thing I just can't take BHVR tagged responses seriously anymore. It's like gaslighting lol

I just want them to admit that they initially intended for the match making incentives to help make up for the BP removal from BBQ and WGLF, but they're just denying any correlation and being passive aggressive to anyone who even tries to suggest them to bring back the BP bonus for those perks. Its unprofessional and just silly. Just admit that you changed your minds instead of blatantly lying when we have documented proof of BHVR saying something different awhile ago.

This is not the case at all. Played all day today and only had 2 matches where survivors gave up. Killer mains are the biggest crybabies I've ever seen and are just afraid that the devs will see how killer sided this game is for soloq. Survivors were never the power role in soloq and the game was pretty balance for solo before this update. If you couldn't get kills before then you just sucked as killer plain and simple.

It' so easy to say that after a buff. "You should have been getting kills before." No, we shouldn't have. The same way we get kills now is the same way we got them before: survivors giving up, playing bad, not punishing camping, not punishing tunneling, being greedy at loops, and somehow being unable to do gens or push through/deal with the killer's slowdown. Every time someone has tried to "prove" that killer is OP has had 1 or all of these things going for them, or they just play Nurse. And they never factor any of that into their "justification."

Then you are extremely lucky to not face 4 stack slowdown killer, or you are playing at the lowest mmr. or you are not playing at all

Your own experiences are invalid and mine are clearly superior and much more valid. Is basically your sentence right there

  • We don't talk about Solo Q, we want to talk about the removal of the BP from BBQ/WGLF. The best solution for the grind would be perks not having tiers, that's good for every player because that reduces the grind by 2/3 without overcomplicating things. BHVR decides to overcomplicate things and implement matchmaking incentives to help makes up for BP removal from BBQ and WGLF. The new progression system is only helpful for the veteran players who play everything. I know someone who did an experiment to see how awful the grind is for a new player by creating a new account, he has only managed to Prestige 1 two characters in 40 hours of gameplay.

Fantastic. Great move. Well done BHVR

Right. But what does that have to do with bp incentives being a "band-aid fix" and bad design? That's something I don't think the OP has an explanation for.
