I don't think LGBT content is a good idea.
Tell the story of gay or lesbian or whatever characters always works in those beautiful life-story games, like life is strange. but in a competitive horror game, where there are killer ripping apart human beings, I don't think that is a good massage. Especially if one of those killers gives electric shocks to "cure" those queer characters from there "mental illness".

And do you think that all the heterosexual content is okay still?
also, Doctors treatment really isn’t meant to be any kind of what you are implying here. He tortured all kinds of people to extract memory’s or other kind of ‚experiments‘…
calling DbD a ‚competitive horror game‘ is also something not everyone would accept as a description of the game..
Just noticed:
where there are killer ripping apart human beings, I don't think that is a good massage
i wouldn’t want such a massage myself. But seeing more of these threads may finally change my mind?
Wich hetero content do you mean? There is not one character description, not one archive page wich actually is addressing Heterosexuality. And why? Because it's normal, there is no need for addressing it. Why can't being gay just as normal? Why do you have to Adress it.
P.S. Your right, the description doesn't fit. It's just a competitive game. XD
Nurse and her husband are described as a heterosexual pair, that even tried to get children iirc.
Frank and Julie have a complete tome story dedicated to their sexual relationship.
Ace is referred to as a ‚womanizer‘ in some cosmetic descriptions.
Felix backgroundstory revolves all around him and his wife expecting a child.
And there are others. None of this is necessary for gameplay mechanics at all.
David having had struggles accepting himself for who he is and having to pretend for his parents to like women is just as valid of a story as any other lore. It is normal and in-game it is handeled just as other tome storys. Only the tweet may have been a little bit too much, but then again, there are hundreds of tweets on the official Twitter account and many of those are not really that relevant for the actual game.
David wasn’t turned gay. He has never been confirmed to be straight before and the story isnt retconning anything.
just assuming everyone is straight if not explicitly stated otherwise is actually more homophobic and one of the reasons why we need more (non stereotypical) representation in media
also no one said how it was unnecessary to retroactively turn Frank and Julie into a couple.
Whilst we appreciate the feedback...inclusivity in gaming is very important and as such we're happy that David is gay.
