what if survivors had unique passives that differentiated them?
its still kind of heart breaking to me how all survivors are pretty much the same and the fact that they still have a difficulty rating on them just makes me shake my head. so what i propose is what if each survivor had unique passives that only they individually could have. for example: meg could be slightly faster, nea could have street wise built in to her character, or claudette could just simply amplify healing of other survivors like dwights leader. i know these examples are kind of random but its just a start to explain the idea. thoughts?

sis did you really just copy my idea exactly and claim it as your own
One big issue with this idea is that survivors get significantly less BP. With good reason, but your proposed change would make the grind very tough for those survivor players who play different survivors.
With killers, if you have more than one favourite, you have to amass an insane amount of BP to get all the perks and other goodies for them. But at least they get more BP. For survivors, it would be just too much of a pressure.
Lets not make that worse.
Less sprint after hit or less vaulting speed.
Other than that, behavior currently wants survivors to just be skins.
Creates a lot more moving parts which is kinda a problem. If they are struggling to balance the gen rush meta already this will just throw gasoline on the fire. > @ChesterTheMolester said:
Meta's are inevitable on any game. Not a reason not too.
That problem needs to be dealt with as its seriously messes up killer queues when double bp events happen. The grind should be alleviated for survivor they have just as many perks to buy and even require the item + the add ons. Granted they can keep their items but its not always gonna be possible once they encounter the really good killers.
please no
They have the difficulty ratings based on they're default perks. Claudette has Self Care and Empathy making her good solo and support which makes her easy to use whereas Jake has Sabetour and Calm Spirit which are situational perks and or harder to pull off and make good use for so i agree with they're difficulty ratings.
Sooner or later those passives will also become meta, and you'll be expected to run certain perks on them to make the most of them.
This idea has actually been presented many times. I doubt you are the first to come up with it.
Also no, just because it's too late for that now. Maybe if the game was built with that design in mind but at this point it would just screw up everything. Plus it would put survivors on a tier of best to worst and you would just end up with games filled with that character. It's already bad enough not how many people play Claudette, imagine every game full of them.
I dont exactly hate this idea, I would like incentives to play other survivors other than just teachables, but it would be hard to balance, and we are in a point where this wouldnt really be possible.
Just give them a passive abilities like 10% faster healing speed etc
This is not a unique idea.
But the abilities they suggested were the exact same ones I suggested 💀💀💀
I prefer the characters being just skins as much as I hate to say it, because people are going to be picky as to which passive perk is gonna help them out the most that can result in giving the survivors a little more power than they’re suppose to have.
Already getting flashbacks of CSGO where the slightest step away from the meta usually resulted in insta votekicks.
I'd rather have the ability to not be shoehorned into a certain survivor
TBH as long as the passives aren't crazy (like someone suggested Meg have a higher based movement speed which is nuts).
Sure, as long as it doesnt result in a straight buff as you suggest.
I suggest individual advantages AND disadvantages
