Monstrous shrine
This perk is terrible and should be reworked, but for some reason it's being ignored by devs for 5 years now
Just compare similiar survivors perk with this trash
Camaraderie gives 34 seconds on any hook, while MS only up to 10.8 on basement hooks
Slippery meat gives +4% chance to unhook yourself on any hook, MS reduces 4% by 15% which means its only reduced to 3.2%, basically nothing changes
Again slippery meat gives 3 extra tries to escape on any hook, MS increases penalty by 9%, which means that survivor only have 2 attempts... but only if survivor is not going to try to escape immediately

It’s OP what are you talking about? Literally the metaest of meta perks we’ll ever see.
trust me, monstorous is gonna be meta soon, and not because it got buffed :0
I agree, Monstrous Shrine is awful. My current suggestion for it would be possibly

Monstrous Shrine
Your fervent care of the Hooks found in the Basement has aroused The Entity's interest.
The Basement Hooks possess the following benefits:
--
This could give it some synergy with the Scourge Hook perks and make it a decent perk in combo with them, or even by itself possibly.
maybe drop the aura reading since that could get annoying and instead make it so that anyone who enters a locker in the basement is trapped in that locker for 20/25/30 seconds.
Lol, that locker effect would be pretty trolly, but hilarious. 😄
As far as the auras go I don't think it would be annoying, the hooks are underground so they're not going to be blocking your view typically.
that's fair.
maybe the locker thing could be extended to lockers within 8m of scourge hooks.
RIP to those doing that against a sadistic Trapper.
What if we made it a Scourge Hook perk instead? Slightly increased, or not idk.
(also, comparing bad and not used perks to a bad and not used perk is like... terrible imo)
I have had this idea for a little while now, but I really would like to see Monstrous Shrine become the Scourge Hook equivalent of something like Thrill or Undying; more intended to prop up and strengthen other perks while still doing something on its own. Here's my suggestion:
Now that is an excellent Idea, not too powerful and probably not meta either. Just right.
