Killer camping balance suggestion
so i got an idea how to balance killer camping, so basically if the killer is 20m or any value that bhvr likes then the timer of the hook doesnt go down. only on failed escape attempts but if the killer is within that radius, it doesnt take so much of the hook timer, but this whole thing will work only if the killer is in that radius after 7 seconds
What do you guys think?
This is just a suggestion, dont like it? then dont roast me for making a "Stupid suggestion" in your opinion

Arent you already punished for facecamping by cutting bloodpoint gain.
This has been brought up plenty before, survivors would abuse it my forcing the killer to stay near the hook by swarming around it, giving them free time to unhook their friend whenever.
Already tried and abused by survivors.
Tried it..got abused
Killers already get a blood point cut and negative progress on emblems for camping. They can also be completely gen rushed and only secure a 1k if the survivor team does their job. Camping killers can still be stunned by flashlight to get the rescue, baiting a hit and using BT can get the rescue, BT into DH can get the rescue, BT and DS combo can force a safe rescue with no hook trade. There's enough counter play in the game to get past camping. The Devs have stated that it is a non punishable strategy, not a good strategy, but a non punishable one anyway.
When do survivors get punished for camping gens?
Camping only works if the survivors allow it. If they know what to do that killer will get 1k at best. Besides doesn't Steve have a perk that slows down hook progression if the killer is near?
The only time I could see they tested this was way back 2016. Personally I doubt survivors can kite killers around a hooked person long enough for it to matter anymore. Especially since this test was before bloodlust even existed, which would mean that even if they managed to kite for a long time the survivor would most likely go down before 1 minute passed if they tried to keep the killer ontop of the hook.
Unless they send more than one person I cant see how they would keep the killer there. And if they send more than one, well congrats you are keeping 3 survivors busy.
But if you really want a "different solution" how about this
"When the killer is within X meters from the hook, the hook progression is slowed down. This slow down stops when the killer enters a chase"
There you go, now the survivor can't kite. And yes that was the official explanation that the killer was kited by survivors around the hook.
You could even fully stop hook progression but maybe it would require the killer to stay there for a certain amount of time, and again immediately stop it if the killer enters a chase.
Not trying to start #########, just a killer main tired of hearing baseless accusations and whiny cry babies in endgame chat primarily. Come with some counter arguments to this suggestion.
That would suck... A lot. Killer shouldn't be punished for bad survivors wanting to loop around the hook lmao
