New Ruin needs a nerf
It's strong but not overbearing on some killers, but it becomes OP on the top tier killers. Killers that can pressure the map well like Spirit and Hillbilly. Far stronger than old Ruin. These killers can get around fast and put so much pressure on survivors that gen progress gets deleted. It's even worse if you're solo as you can be sure it will regress to nothing with nobody to jump on it for you.
The regress speed should probably be reduced.

do.... bones?
wait, that doesn't work on noed either
Totems??? I mean, nice bait tho
Run around the entire map trying to find a needle in a haystack before touching a gen while Hillbilly is already steamrolling with instadowns? so basically it's no different to old ruin despite how much people cry it's weaker?
Like I said on someone like Myers it's not so bad, the issue comes from top tier killers like spirit or hillbilly who with their mobility and chase potential will likely be starting to snowball very early.
Yeah and that makes totally sense to nerf a perk because 3 out of 19 killers make a bit more value of it. Needle in a haystack? I'd say run Detective's hunch, Small game or some maps for two weeks. Totem spots are not that hard to learn. I currently just struggle with Saloon, Lery's and Hawkins because they are new and I don't get many offerings to explicitly run the build on them to learn. You still have the chance that any survivor stumbles early across them by accident, you can tap a gen at the beginning of the match to check for ruin and go search and you have ears
Here is Detectives Hunch and Small Game, go look for the totem
New ruin OP?
Bruh...
There is no universe where new ruin is op with any killer.
While I agree - with a killer who is good at gen pressure (and actually applies gen pressure vs. standing around a hook with their thumb up their ass), it can be a very strong perk - especially if it is in a difficult to find local. But you have to run into that trifecta...a killer who is running it and capable of pressuring gens, a killer who is WILLING to pressure gens, and a totem that is very well hidden/difficult to find (super RNG)...for it to really present enough of a problem that it ends up being the catalyst for certain death. There are far more issues regarding imbalance that need to be address besides this somewhat rare, perfect storm.
