I highly doubt any of the Devs can finish The Rift

When you balance around Rank 10, nerf Killers that don‘t need nerfing, yet make insane challenges where even the best players will struggle... How can the devs finish it? Very very unlikely. Proof me otherwise 😎

That's okay. People will go through the rift and realize how right I am.

Do you mean the archives? I know you're confused about certain things but I'll put it in layman's terms.

Rift = Free, but has an unlockable track for 1,000 cells (Hint, you can buy the pass after you've completed it, or you get up to a point where you think 1,000 cells is worth it)

Archives = A set of challenges that can help you boost yourself on the rift in the free & premium pass, you also get bloodpoints & lore about characters (Hint, you don't actually have to complete ANY of these challenges to progress in the rift, tome 4 only nets you 7 tiers anyway)

I hope that helps, feel free to spread this information with other people who can't tell the difference between something that is free and something that is paid for, have a lovely night.

No, I am talking about the rift.

If you had read my entire post you wouldn't have had to ask. Just saying.

    Well, we're talking about the

"How kind of them to sell us a half-baked feature that's still "subject to change" and not finished yet then. Whoops"

You said this in reply to

"Besides what tomes 2, 3 and 4 will look like? Because they are still subject to change. You also don't know how many hours it takes to complete the rift, all you have is speculation."

Which are about the tomes, which is part of the archive, that IS FREE. Second of all you don't NEED to complete these challenges to progress in either path of the rift, THIRDLY the last tome only nets you 7 whole tiers, it's not the end of the world.

You can see exactly what you're getting before you even pay, you can get to any level you want, if you complete the pass you could by it on day 70 and guarantee you get what you want.

I really don't see what there is to complain about besides you're upset that some challenges might be extra hard (and I've already said I don't agree with them) but you certainly haven't paid for any of it soooo....???

I highly doubt they can even get kills as a killer because "Legion is Fine."

Peanits is a red rank huntress main and he does good.

    This argument is ridiculous.

Developers are very rarely the best players of their own games, while I don't agree with some of the challenges in Tier 4 of the tome they are aimed at people who have 1,000s of hours in the game, to expect someone to develop a game and also be the best at the game and do everything that hardcore players do is silly.

And that's been the root of the balancing problem for so long. As devs, you SHOULD be the master of your game. You designed it. You should know all the ins and outs. You should know how far you can push the envelope. This is the type of insight necessary to make changes that people will welcome and enjoy.

How kind of them to sell us a half-baked feature that's still "subject to change" and not finished yet then. Whoops.

    "All you have is speculation."

I'll tell you what: Here is a burnt piece of toast. Wait, what's that? You don't want to eat it? You can't say it will taste awful. That's just speculation on your part.

You buy access to the premium track. The premium track is tied to the archives. The archives are tied to challenges to complete them. The challenges are tied to the base game. Without these, you would literally be purchasing nothing. The whole archives thing is literally an advertisement for the premium rift. It's not as black and white as you're trying to make it sound as they all tie back to each other. The Rift and premium track is advertised almost every waking moment in the menus, in the archives, before a match and after a match.

Finally, this whole notion that the battle pass is optional is also false. Because I sure as ######### do not enjoy having a Jake Park running around like his head is cut off literally trying to disturb every stupid crow in the map so he could further himself in his battlepass rather than doing something actually productive to the survivor objective in the game? So if it's so optional as you claim, please tell me where the hell I can go to avoid people like that from getting my matches? Where's the option to stop being reminded that this system exists every moment that isn't in the middle of the match?

They aren't, and you know it. And if you don't know, you are not reading my comments. So why bother talking?

Not speculation, experience. Very different things.

Just stop. You buy access to the premium track. Thats it. Everything else about the rift can be used and understood for free. Also... "How dare they advertise a product, dont they know you cant advertise your products?"

Except that the bp is optional. So you're starting this paragraph wrong...good job...

Because as we all know... no one never ######### around during normal days. Right?

  • Unless you have people on your dev team that play the game at the highest level on both sides, or you frequently speak to people who are, you will never be capable of balancing your game. That's a fact of life for any game, you cannot simply look at numbers on a piece of paper and decide how to adjust your game - this isn't a game like that.
