  • I hear some of your concerns about the struggle of playing against such an oppressive killer, so I'd like to give some tips.

    1. grab tapes IMMEDIATELY. to my understanding, it takes Sadako's tv's 40 seconds to turn on in the start of the match, so at 41 seconds run to a tv and immediately grab it and hope she doesn't plop Infront of you.
    2. deny easy first hits. Sadako really only has condemned since her stealth is so lackluster but meets the bare minimum, so if you hear the lullaby, immediately locate where she is and run to a pallet or window.
    3. and most importantly, HEAL!! most of the games i win on onryo are because i downed an injured person who was completely oblivious to my location. healing against stealth killers in general is the play, but especially against sadako since she has a side objective for more pressure than just hooks/downs.
  • Some aspects should be base. Thankfully camping is getting addressed with the (fairly weak) BT base and future unhook changes but other aspects for survivor atleast are struggling. Specifically tunneling.

From your perspective as a survivor, what is the most overpowered killer perk and why?

i said pop because i hate seeing a gen that was worked on for 85 seconds get ######### on. but its more annoying than anything + the killer has to work to get it. sloppy is a close second just because of its effectiveness on stealth killers and how annoying it is iin general

Basically, the pig can find traps at jigsaw boxes where survivors take off their head traps.

If anyone has any other ideas, say it in the comments.

i feel like if these were like 'damaged' RBT's that last shorter and have a 1 in 3 chance of getting off it would actually be viable. While also giving the killer a side objective kindve like pinhead the the box.

Be brutally honest and explain why you think that way.

definitely does not deserve gutting, but they should at least get rid of the endurance. some perks do barely anything at all while 2 great effects are plopped onto 1 perk. it genuinely makes no sense. maybe give the haste more of a prerequisite than just "injured." maybe like give it a renewal type of deal? heal someone fully then get the 3% until healed or downed.

  • @Katzengott said:

No perks should be basekit, that's not how you balance a game. But what do i know?

you must admit, bond being a perk is quite silly, along with kindred. And hot take, i firmly believe deadlock should be base for killer.

Which killers desperately need QoL? I mean killers that have powers that are unnecessarily difficult to maneuver or control? Would you say Singularity and Knight are contenders for quality of life patches?

Executioner, singu and twins are in serious need for QOL. knight is a contender for a massive needed rework. I think either freddy or SM take the cake for needing a rework. And honestly, nurse could use some QOL for going against.

For me it's Cybil. She's one of my mains and I rarely see her ever- granted you have to pay extra for legendary characters so I get that.

I also have a soft spot for Haddie.

What are some survivors/killers that you play that you don't see much?

i absolutely love playing twins LMAO

  • @Blueberry said:

They probably realized it was a bad idea.

yeah lol no. camping at almost any point in the game almost always hurts the killer, so giving the survivor getting camped a little extra help punishes the killer more for not improving at the game and just trying to farm easy sacrifices

    Made For This:

    • 3% haste (permanent)
    • Powerful endurance effect for 10 seconds after healing
    • Considered to be balanced by most survivor mains, considered to be OP by most killer mains

    Compound 33:

    • 3% hindered (lasts for 3 seconds and only within 16 metres of a bump)
    • Break pallets 0.84 seconds quicker
    • Considered to be OP by most survivor mains, considered to be OP by most killer mains

Both are considered overpowered and broken. Both require some skill to use them to their full potential.

i think this whole mentality of "but what about this thing u stupid *BLANK* user" is a very toxic way of thinking and will get this game nowhere. Yes, MFT is overtuned, but so are blights addons. Even if a blight player who uses adrenaline vial + crow complains about MFT (for whatever reason,) their complaints are valid, although it seems oxymoronic. everyone's complaints are valid until proven otherwise.

Seems like people were generaly speaking happy compare to Skull Merchant chapter or even Knight chapter... Yet I can't find anywhere Singularity. It's like everyone dropped from him after few games and forgot about him.

Hes kindve like executioner. very mechanically and game sense difficult killer that doesnt get enough payout as other easier better killers. he is conceptually an amazing killer, but with how certain things in dbd work, the gameplay falls through slightly.

  • I honestly think larry is in a great spot for how his power is designed. The EMPs have been adjusted and altered enough to the point where they honestly feel perfect. I think changing anything else about them will make larry tilt extremely to one side or the other

That way of putting it is flawed, bHVR isnt trying to make the perfect match. a better way would be saying bHVR is making Cakemix, a product which can be used by both a 5 star baker or a random person. Its no use if the Cakemix is made specifically for the 5 star baker, because with all due respect the 5 star baker isn't who they are selling to. They are selling to everybody.

although everyones eating the cake, you want it to be the best right? so have the 5 star baker help make the cake. also saying that everyone is using the cakemix means that everyones making the cake, which is thankfully not true

  • @Emeal said:

There are some very questionable changes that happen that most experienced players say are obvious design flaws.

Remember the game isn't made for the most experienced players in most instances, its made for your average player.

if u were baking a cake, and were having trouble, who would u ask for help? the 5 star baker or the person who doesnt know how to turn on an oven? i understand there are more average players than people with 5k plus hours but experience knows all

The way crouching hard counters his whip is so sad.

i actually quite like the counterplay at windows- adds nuance and a special reflex needed for a certain killer

his serotonin injector grants him 15 seconds of undetectable after whipping a zombie. It is not exactly best undetectable because nemesis is extremely tall and very loud but it does allow you to often approach closer to the survivor when starting the chase. that is pretty consistent add-on. the other add-on that is consistent if you hit & run with it is iridescent umbrella badge. it grant you 60 second of exposed when someone uses a injector. there is only 4 injectors per trial but you can sometimes get a 1-2 exposed hits at the start of the trial to get an ok start. expose is decent effect and you will get to tier 3 very fast to immediately access his full ability if you are proficient at using his whip. he has two consistent add-on's and rest just classic dbd filler add-on's that do practically nothing.

Serotonin injector is uselss since nemi has zombies that are usually in the middle of nowhere- and even if it comes into effect its pointless because survivors arent blind or deaf. and exposed addons are always inconsistent- especially for nemi, because survivors will play scared and far away from him even if pressured.
