I'm kindly saying, please only answer if you play Legion and tried this add-on multiple times.

Do you get any value from it? Is it a good add-on even though it can be considered as a bp or meme add-on? Should I try playing with it?

    Never-Sleep Pills:

    * Reduce the starting speed of frenzy to 4.6 m/s from 5.2. You still become faster with each hit.

    * Increase the duration of frenzy by 10 seconds.

I honestly hate it. Every time I've run it I don't get enough hits per to stack the speed buff and use the extended duration unless I have a low MMR match and survivors are just…there. I like the idea of it, just can't seem to get value out of it.

I get singularity needed qol and minor buffs, but this is just ridiculous. Some of the changes are good/fine, but overall these changes take away so much skill expression from him for seemingly no reason besides pandering towards those who don't want to put time into learning him. Auto aiming at survivors when entering a biopod, being able to remotely destroy biopods, removing extra overclock time, these literally just remove depth. Basekit haste is also completely unnecessary, sure give him longer overclock to more easily make it to a pallet before a surv drops it, sure make him wake up faster to make tping feel less clunky, but no, let's pretend moving at 4.738m/s during overclock somehow makes sense. You guys are handling knight well, buffing him in areas that take skill and nerfing him in areas that don't, where's that for singularity?

Oh and I forgot to mention the EMP nerfs, because 3 genning is something singularity needed to be better at, obviously.

    Gurl.

With all the new killers in the game, I think there should be an option to block OR decrease the chance of facing at least 1 killer ( Skull Merchant. ) I also think we should have a system where you cannot face the killer 2 times in a row. It's so stale seeing the same killers over and over again. It's almost always, Wesker, Legion or Blight. At least those are my top 3 I see every single game when I play survivor.

I also want to be able to block a killer from ever being in a game with me, like Skull Merchant, because I refuse to play against her, no matter what. Idc what rework she had, she's still boring asf to play against. Most of them still 3 gen and my games last more than 20 mins just for everyone to die in the end. It's so freaking boring It's insane. I'd much rather face back to back Nurse players all day, because at least she's fun to play against and feels rewarding when you dodge a blink. Can't say the same about Skull Merchant.

Sure, if we get to randomly block a survivor we hate. Sorry not sorry.

  • Girl at this point I'm tempted to perma-main Nurse. Come hell or high developer water, Nurse will still be there.

  • He needs a re-work or we need a re-fund.

I've never played with this combo before, but I swear, if this perk will get even tiny nerf, 4 slowdowns will be the only build I will run in any mood, any day, against everything. Because if you guys gonna cry that hard on every somehow viable perk combo (not even perk, combo) appears into killer side, you deserve absolutely nothing but sweatiest tryhards every single match. And I will become one, because I tried to read this bullshit. Respectfully.

I love your energy. Same. I'll add to that I'll be maining Nurse with it.

  • And this is why Weave Attunement is necessary. You get free items, you should pay the price for them.

  • @Pulsar said:

Yeah, I've also been messing with it and it's much better than I expected.

It can get you some pretty insane aura-reading since items usually drop near safe spots or gens.

And they can and should be moved by survivors. Pretty insane.

  • For once. A useful perk not getting nerfed. For once. Getting something nice killer side. For once. To help offset the pain of going against SWFs. For once. Leave something gd alone. It isn't OP. It's just P. At best- because survivors have full control of moving item locations.

  • If it bothers you that much, why not run Whispers or Crows? Pretty sure there is no counter to Whispers.

👀 I know of several devs (including a live designer!) who do this, actually. 😂 Nothing makes me giggle more than signing off from work, and watching colleagues start popping up on Steam as launching Dead by Daylight.

May we have their twitch/livestream names for us curious, would-be followers? @Jocelynbee

Please don't spread misinformation. Those addons were not reworked or touched in any way. Thank you

    Strobing Light was. Thank you.

  • @crogers271 said:

Lots of people have thrown out why not let the survivors see or block the killer.

I've got one I'd like: let me see the level of addons the killer is running. I don't need the specific ones, just the levels. That way I can get out of lobbies if I think the killer has an unfair advantage.

Yeah, not sure about this one. SWF > add-ons any day. Maybe when the add-ons start talking to each other.

  • I do NOT want her passive phasing removed. She feels like a true SPIRIT and I very much enjoy playing her with her JB add-on as a spooky build.

  • @n000b51 said:

    Very nice footages.

Why the nerf? Did not seem like an OP add-on whatsoever. Just plain fun.

DbD things: always choose the strangest decision about an unique gameplay…

Thanks, I can only take credit for the second video as I did that one. Still waiting for a #developer to comment.

  • I thoroughly enjoy the new Strobing Light & Silk Pillow add-on reworks.

  • Literally only run his range add-ons that's it. He needs some love.

  • Yes, keeping the old values of a certain low-key/not op playstyle is what I'm referring to. They should bring JB back in line with what they took away from DCB when it comes to a "boring" add-on that was reworked.

  • From Patch 5.3.0:

    "The Spirit

    • While phase walking Survivors within 24 meters of The Spirit (not the husk) hear a directional audio cue that gains volume with proximity
    • Add-on – Juniper Bonsai: Added effect: Increases Passive Phasing duration by 50%
    • Reworked Add-on – Dried Cherry Blossom: Survivors trigger Killer Instinct when they come within 4 meters of The Spirit while she is phasing. Scratch marks are no longer visible while using Yamaoka’s Haunting.
    • Reworked Add-on – Wakizashi Saya: During Yamaoka’s Haunting, use the Active Ability button to return to the husk and end the haunting
    • New Add-on – Mother’s Glasses: Survivors trigger Killer Instinct when they come within 2 meters of the husk. Scratch marks are no longer visible while using Yamaoka’s Haunting.
    • New Add-on – Uchiwa: Instantly recharges Yamoka’s Haunting when stunned by a pallet
    • New Add-on – Senko Hanabi: When Yamaoka’s Haunting ends, The Spirit’s husk explodes and any vaults within 4 meters are blocked for 5 seconds
    • New Add-on – Furin: The phasing sound is heard by all Survivors
    • New Add-on – Kintsugi Teacup: Instantly recharges Yamaoka’s Haunting after breaking a pallet or wall
    • The following add-ons have been removed: Bloody Hair Brooch, Dirty Uwabaki, Katsumori Talisman, Prayer Beads Bracelet, Father’s Glasses
    • New Terror Radius music

Developer notes: The Spirit’s phase walking mind-games have evolved into something of a Kobayashi Maru. By adding some audio cues, it should give sharp survivors a chance to figure out what she’s doing and react accordingly. Along with this, we’ve replaced some of her more problematic / boring add-ons with new ones that should provide more varied options for potential playstyles."

They have no mention of the -1s cd not being transferred from DCB or a statement saying it was too strong, if anything it says her add-ons were boring. Hoping a dev chimes in here soon. Was it @Peanits @Mandy that does these?

  • @zarr said:

I mean, that's not really a nerf, just the obvious result of reworking one of the two passive phasing add-ons. And new Cherry Blossom is a very strong add-on that makes Spirit even easier to play. It's pretty mindless and borderline broken.

Although yes, I would not be opposed to having a secondary passive phasing add-on to stack with Bonsai. I would even suggest that the killer player should be able to see when the passive phasing happens, so as to more proactively be able to make use of it. Certainly, I would gladly take them reverting Cherry Blossom. 😋

What is more disappointing to me from these comparison clips is that Spirit nowadays doesn't appear to have her unique animations anymore while running, only when standing still. Boring.

It is a nerf. If you read my initial post, only the passive phase duration from DCB was transferred over to JB. They missed transferring the -1s cd over. Since, as much as I can recall at the moment, it was not stated as such in the patch notes, I'm guessing this is more of an error on their part than a flat-out decision to nerf. Which is why I'm hoping one of the devs responds to this thread. Please.

As the title says, I think the mode is far too killer sided to be fun. There's no anti-tunnel or anti-camp perks so killer will just hide in the darkness near the hook and then camp and tunnel one person out every time. You can't even see the anti-camp bar (if it's even a thing in that mode). And why do survivors not see gen auras but killers do? Seeing hooks is fine since survivors see hooked people and hook spawns can be so random but killers shouldn't see gens either since you can still hear the sound and they're generally always in the same places. They should have to find the gens also or survivors should see the auras too especially since there's no anti-tunnel or anti-camp.

Played the game mode today for the first time for 6 matches and in everyone the first one hooked got camped and/or tunneled to death. And without perks like kindred or killer having a terror radius or not seeing the anti-camp bar, you can't even tell if you're getting camped. I hope if they make more modes like this or bring it back later that they think about that next time...

It's meant to be a horror mode. Movie-esque. Check the vibes, sure some tweaks maybe removing some auras but not much imo.

I loved that you released your data https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3650168#Comment_3650168 however, the kill rate is definitely way worse because you do not account for disconnects and killers letting survivors go.

Also, every killer is zone camping and or tunneling.

Until you rebalance this game or switch up your logic for "We try to keep Killers near a 60% kill rate on average to keep matches relatively even and support the horror theme of the game, where the Killer is a force to be reckoned with and the survival is not guaranteed."

My friends and I have agreed this game has lost its luster due to the imbalance the how people are playing this game now. Either bring bot killers or do something about the camping/tunneling.

    Leaving this game until then.

In a 4v1 'horror' game with voice comms? No. 60/40 seems reasonable, practice more and wait out their balances. Watch good streamers play.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

She has 70% kill-rate. And dcs are not even included, probably she is even higher with them.

It's obvious, survivors are refusing to play against her. I doubt she is that strong, it's just survivors don't want to play against her.

And this brings us to this question: Do you think BHVR is fine with her and just gonna ignore that or she will get another big update? What do you think?

Like the developers said - take the stats as a grain of salt. It's literally in their opening paragraph before they disclose the statistics. There's more variables to consider rather than flat out numbers. Read.

    YES. I lol'd out loud.

It’s still the entity’s creation it’s not the actual planet but the version the entity created the crows are it even the sky has a giant crow looking down

I see your point but then again there's random alien spiders and centipede looking things crawling around. Those intentional? The creatures flying in the sky are large aliens if you take a closer look.

  • What's really sad is all the bickering between survivor mains & killer mains when the real common enemy here are the people that made this game.

  • @Mandy said:

Thanks for the suggestions here, we do have a few changes for the EMP's in particular ready for an upcoming hotfix. We'll be looking at reducing the EMP crates themselves to 4 per map, the generation time increased to 100s (currently 90s), and Survivors will also be slowed whilst charging an EMP by 10% as well as increasing the EMP charge time itself to 2.5s from the current 2s.

Duration of the pod disabling from an EMP will also be decreased down to 45s. There's also some score changes as we noticed Devious points were a little on the low side.

    How do those sound?

How does this address the constant pod blocking? Looks to me like crates will still craft constant EMPs with a pod blocking duration decrease. What will stop survivors from grabbing another EMP to cycle through blocking pods?

Thoughts? B-tier isn't really ordered correctly, mostly has killers I've barely used for the bottom 5 or so.

So you place Onryo as D-tier yet she has one of the highest kill rates according to BHVR? Learn to play her.
