the fog is a franchise? i haven't heard of this before also dbd used to be a loooot darker and foggier so people might just stack mist add-ons to make it hard for the killer to track
Yes the fog is a franchise. I forgot to add the movie what it is about
-
Also, let survivors open gates together with the hatch. Now you only look for the hatch first, and if the killer is first and closes it, then you can go for the gates…….
-
I had a time that I got hooked and the other survivors let me hanging 2 complete states, I wished I tried to unhook myself :-p
-
I think instead of big generators, maybe those small gens over the map that needs to be filled with gasoline. Something like that?
Or something you need to do as team, let's say a special gate or a bridge that needs to be downed? Something that needs time like the basement (circle) perk from Mikaela that makes the timer on gens shorter. I hope you understand what i mean here.
just thinking out loud
-
I think it could work, although i'd rathr have Critters in it :)
-
Since we didn't get the Castlemap with Castlevania, what do you think of these other map ideas?
Also a dollhouse would be cool.
Resident evil for example
Or a doll factory for Chucky
-
A good carnaval map or even a part where there is a mirror room, somethng like that?

Always loved this movie. I'd be down for a chapter
could be a really good chapter indeed
-
I was hoping for a crossover with Blood Omen - Legacy of Kain…..would be cool skins I think
-
Lol, as survivor i thought he was quite fast. He overall feels a bit strange. But will see what he brings. I only played about 5 games against him
I also still find it a missed opportunity of not bringing a new (castle) map
-
I sometimes dare doing that if the killer takes the hatch. And I don't want to give the 4 kill to the killer :-p but that is only when I am the last survivor
-
I don't agree. I play both killer AND survivor and I think they are good as it is. You win some, you lose some. Though Lampkin Lane is even a bit small I think. It is ok for gens, but the endgame….

I think its better to just have certain maps with said weather effect instead of having an item that changes weather.
Thats much easier for the Map Team to manage. But I would enjoy an Ormond variation where the snowstorm is so thick its basicly like playing Lights Out.
One map variation with 1 special weather, I think its okay. That is also great idea. at least I think they mus look into this
-
Maybe an item that adds rain (more or less depending on the rarity) like you have fog. It can also be effective for more running sounds to give the killer an advantage. Or less breathing (more rain sounds) for the survivor when standing still.
Just thinking out loud, what doo you think?
-
I understand your feeling, had that multiple times.
I also hate that the exit gates sometimes are very close and if the killer (for example huntress) stands on a hill and can see both exits at the same time. Happend to me too
-
Not reverse, but same. Killer first person and survivors first person. Chucky is 3rd person vs 3rd person survivors.
-
What about not automaticly opening the hatch when there is 1 survivor left. But instead have the opportunity to open the gates and also the hatch. So you can choose your way out. (now you first have to find the hatch before the killer, if he closes then you can go open the doors) . It should be simultanious. Let some sign show you where the hatch is,but make it opening with a (small) timer instead of just an open hatch.
-
Indeed, i hate that too. Can't be too hard to fix that i think
-
They need to keep the hatch. The only thing they need to change is that you can open the gates and hatch together. Now you run around looking for the hatch first. If killer finds it you go for the gates and the killer comes too.would be better if you can choose
-
That would be very dissapointing :-/ We got indeed an amazing chance for a big castle map in DBD.
And the name litteraly says CASTLEvania. without it it would only be vania…….
-
Yeah I know, but with the perk : built to last, the survivor recharge his/her item for an amount. That is already enough I think. And if you start opening chests and run away for some reason, you can always come back. You dont have to start again from the beginning
-
I only agree on the increase of rarity, but not on more chests or shorter opening time. It is part of the gameplay and suspense. That is well balanced. The killer has iets mto decrease the amount of chests and survivors have items to increase it. Well balanced. I have no problem with the time on opening them.
You can always use the perk : Built to last, I use that one
-
lady D as a skin would be great indeed.
-
We should have a John Travolta skin (face off) or his character from Season of the witch
-
I like this camping meter, but agree a little bit on the timer. I see (at least when I play) the timer starting really late. Also, leatherface just camps right outside the meter area facing the hook, doing the same thing as before lol. When he sees the survivor going off he just runs again to them......
But beside that, I think it's a great extra for the survivors.

There are several problems on both sides regarding Totem that make using any perk associated with Totem not worth the hassle
For killers:
-The totem is destroyed very early in the match, especially since sometimes the survivor starts the match with the Hex totem right next to him.
-The totem is not well hidden. You may find a totem at the top of the hill and exposed to everyone Or you can see it from afar in Loops like TL where it is easy to see from afar or hidden behind a small, skinny tree, Therefore, it is related to the first point, which is that the survivors destroy the totem very quickly, because they found it easily without having to memorize the locations of the totem
For survivors:
-The best place to make use of the Boon totem is to place it as close to the middle of the map as possible, however, you may find all the totems on the map on the edges or in the corners of the map, which makes them bad places to use the boon totem. I mean, who will run to the corner of the map in order to benefit from the boon?
Suggestions:
For killers
-At the beginning of the match, each totem will be dull totem for 32 seconds. If the killer brings with him Hex perks, a random, unbroken totem will be chosen as the Hex totem for the rest of the match.
-Make the totem well hidden and in better places so that no player can see the totem from a long distance.
For survivors
-Dimensing the totem from the corners of the map and the edges of the map and making it a little closer to the middle of the map in an uneven manner.
This alone motivates killers to use the Hex perk and motivates survivors to use boon perks, giving them a secondary goal

They should do something about when 5 totems are broken down, whit some perks the killer just spawns a new hex totem. Survivors waste time on breaking totems down so that perk isn't working proparly. But when they are all down some just respwan. giving the killer his neverending power..........
-
This isn't indeed cheating, it is quite clever. But like the first comment here said, you can keep the twins busy as a team and the rest can do gens. It's called adapting to the killer or player style
-
I like playing against Chucky AND playing as Chucky. I think it is a great killer. Actually, my favorite in the list ATM.
-
I am up for that.
Also for small killers ,some critters would be perfect :-)
-
Or an abondoned Castle? Or An empty Fort Boyard :-)
-
Also for the lake or woods would be cool to re-introduce something for Stranger things. Like Hoppers trailer area or his cabin in the woods. A map around that would be awesome. Or stone mountain park.
-

a mall would be cool, either Stranger Things or Fear Street come to mind for that, or even Last of Us
City streets are also still missing - even though they had the perfect aesthetic opportunity with Trickster especially considering the lobby aesthetics. Also RE3R Raccoon City Streets.
Some beach/vacation resort setting would be great - Jaws, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer..

A theme park is okay but an abandoned building with very surreal/unnatural things happening is not? I mean, sure it’s subjective and it’s okay to not like it but this kinda feels like gate keeping?
A mall would be great indeed too. Stranger things season 3 was perfect for that.
City streets could also be 28 days later or something

We need a Carnival/ Theme park. 100%
I'm not entirely sold on the horror aspects of Garden of Joy, abandoned buildings are not scary.
I meant more like a thick forest with a few abandend bungalows. Like a family park sort of thing. With a lot of fog it could be scaryer. Also, now that I think of it. The fog or The mist would be great as franchise for this...

I was thinking more of a thick forest with different bungalows. An abondened family park sort of thing.
I was also thinking about a forest lying on a small mountain. So with different hights and levels.....
About that carnival, The lakeside amusment park in Silent Hill 3 would be perfect I think.

We kind of have a some of those things with the carneval on chapel and basically blood lodge as well as mothers dwelling, but sure it could be a little bit more on spot with those ideas. As long as the circus thing is not a claustrophic indoor map why not.
Yeah, a small amount indeed. But a fully map around that would be cool I think. A completely abandoned themepark. Or circus village sort of thing.
Also the LAkeside amusment park of Silent Hill 3 would be perfect for that I think.
-
He had the same background. Maybe it is something from a previous chapter?
-
I dont cheer up the cheaters. In fact, i find it very sad. Feeling the need to mean something in life, and using cheats or anything to achieve that. That is sad cause they are a fraud
-
An idea for this killer could be some kind of gasoline refills over the map. That he needs to refill when using to much of his chainsaw. Now he is endless in the swinging and well....chainsawing.... A bit like Trickster or Huntress who needs to reclaim some items
-
Maybe they can do something with the generators. Bigger generators that require gasoline or something. Or smaller movable generators.......just thinking out loud...
Or a tesla kind of map (for frankenstein franchises as an example) with electricity that needs to be restored or contained?
-
I agree on seeying survivors come unhooking others while being chased or being wounded already. There won't be many options there so I understand what you mean. What's the deal with that?
-
Fact is, cheating means you are actually a loser but trying to camouflage it with something that seems cool to yourself. But still a loser......
-
Alone in the dark would also be very good I think. Especially with the new game coming featuring David Harbour
-
You sound toxic 😂
-
Oh yeah, Sanatarium waqs also very great game. I love d tha psychological part in that game.
Also a great cfranchise to have in the game would be FEAR. Although that is a shooter game and guns arent a good idea in dbd i think. But that little creepy girl could be something

The Walking Dead
It's weird that there's no The Walking Dead Content in DbD, since The Walking Dead does a lot of Crossovers. Daryl Dixon or Rick Grimes would fit really well as Survivors and the West Georgia Correctional Facility would be fantastic for a Map.
Maybe we'll get both or one of them as a Survivor only-Chapter One Day, maybe even with with a Map.
And Negan would be perfect for a Trickster Skin.
Also a great idea indeed. Walking dead or maybe the last of us?
-
That's not a bad idea to at least considering it. I think it can have possibilities
-
I think chucky will add something extra for those pallets
-
But what is the end for you here? Bzcause for the killer, the end is to get all survivors. And for the survivors is to escape......
-
You forget to tell that the exit gates arent that far away. So for the killer its easy to get to the survivors on this map.
I get your points. I also dont think the map is unbalanced. Maybe a few tweaks but that can be said of every map. I just dont agree on this being the baddest map. It seems to me this map is only bad for those who doesnt like to be challenged in their gameplay from before. I play both survivor and killer and I like this map as it is
