Killer: I wish I knew what a lunge attack was. I used to think you had to be right on top of them to get a hit. One kinda cool thing about this tho was I used to get a lot of grabs in my early days lol.

survivor: I would always unhook my teammates INSTANTLY. Even if the killer was less than 10 meters away. (Idk how I ever thought this was a good idea) One time my teammate messaged me angrily because I had gotten him killed from my ignorant hook bombing. This actually marks the turning point from being a poor player... I started watching YouTube videos and understanding how to be an efficient teammate and killer. I was mind blown when I saw killers perform lunge attacks lol

That isn't the issue they have, the issue is a character's lore is locked behind challenges that require you to play and or use a teachable from a completely different character who so happens to not be immediately available to use.
Boiling Point is questionable but at least fine in only requiring you have Boil Over meaning you can technically complete it as Dwight as long as you have the teachable unlocked (and as they said any required teachables would be guaranteed to appear at least once in the Shrine during the corresponding Rift if you don't own the character they're tied to.)
Sing Another Day requires you play as Kate... to unlock lore for Dwight? Are we missing a sentence or something in Dwight's lore saying something like "Kate was eating a sandwich in the background" or anything that'd explain why she apparently is relevant towards it? And by a quick run through the previous Tomes I haven't seen any challenges like it that requires you to play as a completely different character to unlock lore not tied to them.
TL;DR: Paywall was probably a poor word to describe the issue, Actual issue is they're confused why Kate is required at all to unlock lore she is 100% irrelevant towards unless she has some special guest star appearance in it we're missing.

Oh! My mistake I misread. That is kind of irritating. Especially for newer players

As a starter spirit, you can totally use stridor to help you out, but similarly to NOED it quickly begins to stunt your growth to the point of only being a mediocre killer if you rely on it too much. Id have to disagree. I use a very basic headset and It helps tremendously. Now that you point it out, though, I agree that it’s sometimes not as accurate as I’d like. However, it’s still an upgrade from no headset forsure. ^_^ Also, good point you made - similar to noed, you don’t wanna fall back on stridor. There’s def superior options to add to her.

Use headphones if you’re not already. Spirits main power are your ears lol. You can try using strider (Nurse teachable) to help with this. Get the first hit normally and then follow up with ur power. Strider will make them super easy to hear And track down. You can also do a very specific build meant for tracking. Run the iri add on Fathers glasses (allows blood trails to be visible) then also run bloodhound (wraith teachable) and/or sloppy butcher. This makes tracking with ur power EXTREMELY ez. But honestly just get a pair of headphones and just practice her base kit. You don’t wanna rely on add ons too much. She doesn’t need it to do decently. :)

Not sure if this has been said already, but you don’t have to complete the Kate challenge to start the Dwight challenge. You can start directly from the Dwight master challenge. :)

level 3 has 3 places where you can start completing challenges from. You can start directly from Dwight’s, Huntress, or all the way on the left’s challenges.

Lol the more you play the more nasty messages you’ll receive. Anyone who’s been around long enough will guarantee this. Some ppl are just really upset with their lives I guess
