Had a Tiffany who knew where everyone was at all times but did not have a single aura reader. The only thing I could have figured to make sense was a special headset for specific audio enhancers but it was too uncanny.

Part of what I think is happening is there is an issue of we have been given all the "tools" but no matter what each side counters the other. If we are constantly just countering killer and killer is constantly countering us, its defeating to see that sometimes no matter what perk you equipped its not enough to actually save you. Because in the end a killer has a huge lunge, can down through pallet stuns, and has more base kit speed. Unless you are really good at the juicing and looping, youre dying. But if youre good at juicing and looping youre the problem and killers hate you so they complain about you until now they can just teleport across the maps or fly in 4 seconds or less from 1 end or the other and hinder you at 12%. The truth of all the perks that DBD has created has only angered each side and caused an outcry for a way to counter. But 1 killer perk usually counters about 4 or 5 survivor perks. The structure of the game is so deep, they need to make a whole new setup.

I don't have the energy to read all this detail stuff, I like playing against these 4 more than any other killer. I don't feel they are over or under powered and the odds are pretty 50/50 that I'll win a chase.
Easily abused though

so you will DC if you consider the other players in your match to be “fools” or “tunnelers”? If so, it’s players like you that necessitate the penalty system. It’s to prevent players like you from regularly ruining other people’s games.
I have a pretty good system for determining what a fool is, and a tunneler. You wanna ruin my game, I should be allowed to ruin yours

Its a bug, sometimes when grabbing a survivor in 2v8 it’ll just happen
That's a big ole problem

Yes let's add more chaos to the map with more zombies..... a rocket launcher upgrade or mori would be cool though
-
I get penalties when my breaker flips and shuts the power to my wifi, xbox, and tv. So much fun.
If I don't want to play in a lobby with fools, cheaters, or tunnelers, then I should be allowed to go next and leave the bot. End the penalties

Much prefer a nerf

Killer first came immediately back to hook, I started running, he followed until I happened to run by an almost complete gen so he left to go after the one repairing (who he originally dropped chase to come for me in the beginning). Hooked her and triggered a scourge which the screamers were together working on a gen close to my old hook on the other side of the map from where I was when he came hunting for me. Calm spirit always. Im not the best at loops so it's best I hide and crank gens. But nope, getting hunted on the far side of the map.
-
My issue with what's going on is I'm tired of being punished for leaving a game where I'm being tunneled out anyway. Devs are trying to force us to stay in game so the killer can get their rocks off.
Tunneling also doesn't mean directly off hook. Tunneling also looks like leaving chase with 1 to go for another or hunting down the 1 survivor who didn't scream when your scourge hook activated or targeting the 1 survivor afflicted by your power. Especially within the first 3 minutes of the game. It's better I at least DC and leave a bot to help than leave only 3 survivors.

So they can record it without interference for the personal library when they need an ego boost during the middle of work

Mind you this data does not include matches with DCs or hatch escapes, which could change the data.
It also hasn't been updated in nearly 1 year

With all the "just go next" responses i keep seeing around the forums, I think people also forget the matchmaking lock. This now needs to be adjusted to a reduced time, completely gotten rid of, or only happen after 2 back to back DC. If I don't wanna play with a slugging legion running knockout then let me find another match in peace.

As you can see, Pinhead decided to slug from the onset of the match. And before you say, "But you're running Breakout! You forced him to slug." No I didn't. It's Chaos Shuffle and I didn't attempt to do any sabo antics, nor was I near my other teammates when they got downed to attempt to use Break Out (which you can see above).
The only person who Pinhead didn't slug was the Kate who rolled No Mither. He ended up getting Kate out the match with 3 gens remaining after which we were basically just trading who was on the ground while trying to crank the generators in any spare time we had. We got down to 1 generator left but unfortunately Meg bled out so it was down to just me and Alan. Alan managed to put up an AMAZING chase (props to him) and I popped the final gen. He went down a couple seconds after I popped it and Pinhead beelined straight to me and there wasn't much I could really do.
So I go down and instead of just hooking me and ending it, Pinhead decides to stand over me swinging and launching his chains at me right up until I'm 1 second away from bleeding me out. At which point he picks me up, hooks me, and proceeds to hit me on hook.

And that's EXACTLY how I know this isn't just about "playing to win", "playing strategically", "being competitive" or however you want to spin it. We're both on the ground with hooks readily available. It's not about the fact that we lost. That's fine. We might've gotten at least 1 person out if I played better. I can accept that. The problem is that instead of just taking the win, these people feel the need to drag it out as long as possible and rub it in the whole while. It's malicious behaviour that needs to be addressed.
Question, was this a TTV with some long name that looked like Tormented something? We dealt with him as well. Tunneled each player and had the nerve to call dwight rude for blinding him on his stream. Dude has pages on steam about his antics
-
Killer 'True Form' just did this to us. We managed to get to 2 gens remaining while he was slugging the whole time. Loops, blinds, stuns, and repair as much as possible. 4k for slugging the whole game and refusing to hook. Dwight even forced him to pick by jumping in his arms from a window vault, killer just dropped and plugged. The most annoying play ever.
And we were playing regular, no event.

I can’t speak from fact, only my personal observations playing the game here. From playing 8-hook, 0-kill killer, I have noticed that my base matchmaking tends to be 1 very good survivor, 2 normal survivors, and 1 very weak survivor. If I play very well and climb up the MMR, the quality of survivor tends to increase — but I know deep in my heart from playing that matchmaking makes a dedicated effort to put veteran players in new lobbies. I will often see a P100 and another player with yellow perks at the end of a match and scratch my head. At the same time, it makes sense—the best way for new players to learn counterplay is to watch my behavior.
Example - Crouching counters Hag trap activation.
When I see posts like this, I always wonder if it comes from the perspective that you are the “expert” survivor being put into a new-er lobby to “guard and teach” the new players. I can’t definitely conclude anything, but I can share my thoughts and perspective on the topic.
The Number of yellow perk 0 prestige players lately has been off the charts and pairing them with veteran players really is killing the vibe for all sides

Hi friend, let's make this less needlessly us vs. them friend! Because Us vs. Them hurts us all!
What cna be gathered from this thread:
1) Players on both sides can/will/do abuse game mechanics to get a win by any means, or generally annoy opponents because they can.
2) If a player fails to win, it's only for a lack of skill because the game unfortunately allows people to abuse game mechanics to get a win by any means.
3) Devs are trying their hardest to regulate game mechanics abuse, but the players keep finding new ways to abuse new bugs, meaning this is a whackamole situation, and nobody is inherently valued more than anyone else in the game regardless of role or opinion.
4) You're not allowed to view people who abuse glitches and unintended combos as griefers because people like to win.
See? Much better when you don't blame one side for every evil in the game, because we all suffer when people abuse things to tilt the scales in their favor. Not just Survivors. Please take a break from the game.
You missed my point. My findings were based on the way everyone here was speaking about the situation. It made me giggle more than anything because it's how ever discussion about gameplay goes.
You're not wrong that both sides abuse the game. But I think you are wrong about devi working to fix all these concerns, especially since some concerns have only been made worse by their updates.

They have to create a new game mode, because doing the same thing over and over with breaks in between being so small, that it's not it
I say all the time i WISH they would create a mode that allows survivors to actually fight back. In real life I'd be picking up the closest thing I could grab to beat a killer with. Like a DBD battle royal would be EPIC.
-
All I have gathered from this thread:
1. Killers can/will/do abuse game mechanics to get a 4k by any means, or to just generally annoy opponents because they can. Except for those who don't use DBD as a way to take out their anger on the world.
2. If survivors fail to survive it's only for a lack of skill because the game mechanics are designed so that a killer can/will/do abuse them to get a 4k by any means.
3. Devs will never regulate the abuse of game mechanics and are going to supply bots in the queue to keep killers happy because killers are more important than survivors.
4. You're not allowed to view any killers or survivors as inherently cruel griefers because that's how the game mechanics work.

Had a solid mix of games. But definitely seen a lot of proxy hook camping and a bit of tunneling. Otherwise I've seen a lot of teammates actually showing up for other players, which I assume it's very low % of solo queue because of fear of the unknown or don't desire a challenge.

Dude, I got about everyone to second hook. I don't tunnel or camp; that's why it frustrates me a lot when facing high MMR.
Okay then I really don't understand how it ruined your game. I think you would have to explain more because 8 hooks sounds like a pretty successful match, even if you didn't get a kill.
-
Any one perk can "ruin" someone's match. But if you're argument is about how you had no other potential kills/hooks during the game, then it probably had more to do with your tactics. Adrenaline is designed as a last chance life saving at end game perk. That's the whole purpose.

teammates going next on hook.
Matchmaking teaming you up with 10h players.
Teammates being allergic to gens and just playing for the sake of challenges.
Teammates making the most ridiculous macro mistakes that put their team into huge disadvantage.
But somehow, killer is the one to blame? Well, you see, as long as you keep basically ignoring behavior of your soloQ teammates and putting the blame onto killer, your average soloQ teammate will never be aware nor feel remorse when they play in any way that puts their team at disadvantage. They will be like "ohh, my behavior will just go unnoticed since killer will always be the one to blame" and will just continue with this pattern of gameplay.
SoloQ has literally reached the state it is in rn exactly because of this. And it will keep getting worse because of this.
You'll find i made a later comment about teammates behavior. But again, it comes down to how the devs have lead the design of the game lately.

And again I prove myself right. Move to play killer and I have to TRY to not win. It's so easy to win as killer

I would love a version to play with 0 aura reading abilities, for both sides.

I don’t know what else to tell you. The stats are the stats (assuming they are still true - BHVR rarely updates them). I can tell you that personally I can escape around 40% of the time if I have semi-competent teammates that at least try and don’t intentionally throw the game or go next. And I’m a pretty casual player - definitely not a pro by any means. There’s no data to show that there is a major balance issue with solo queue for the player population as a whole.
That's one of the other unfortunate issues too. Teammates without a clue, a care, a concern for what is happening around them. Im not the best looper and I know that but I do my part, I crank gens during chase, I'll take protection hits, I'll cleanse hex totems, I do the things. Then I'll run a loop for 2 -3 minutes and it's like nothing has been done in the time.
Then I get tunneled for looping and teammates won't protect. And now we have all the killers that can teleport or have 2 bodies to work with or an assistant to help them catch you.

Im not entirely blaming the killers. It's the devs who have determined this layout. Once upon a time I recall killers complaining that it was all survivors fault.....

Average solo queue escape rate is 40%. If you’re consistently escaping at a far lower rate, then you should be focusing on improving your own skills rather than demand that survivors be buffed/and or killers be nerfed.
The skills are there. Been practicing heavily. For hours and hours. But when killers slug and camp and tunnel there isn't much you can do.
