Trickster doesn't actually have any counterplay. In fact, I would argue that Trickster has one of only powers in the game that can guarantee downs on every tile regardless of Survivor skill (or their ability to pre-drop pallets). The reason Trickster is weak is because his eight knife requirement makes his chases take two million years sometimes, which can be so time inefficient that he quickly loses the game.

Just keep his potential in mind as he slowly gets buffed. Trickster can keep Survivors trapped in the shack and down them even without even breaking the pallet... imagine if he could do it time efficiently. There's a reason so many Survivors d/c against Trickster even if he's the worst Killer in the game currently. It can feel like your death is predetermined with no chance of outplay or escape so your only option is to stall it as long as possible

have you never went up against a god-tier nurse or stridor spirit?

I haven't played survivor in a long time but got to do so today. Played like 8 matches so far. I had the opportunity to use DS just once. But it was a very satisfying one. I was on my dying hook, fully infected and there were 2 gens left with 3 people alive. Got to use the DS literally last second and managed to run away. The game ended with a 2K for the killer and me living to tell the story. The rush it gave me felt awesome. Tapping a generator or picking someone up from the ground mid chase shouldn't take away this feeling. It being used 1/8 matches with the perk wasting a slot in the other 7 is not strong imo. Just like ruin. It can be cleansed in the first 20 seconds or be a pita the whole match. I play killer more than survivor btw, this is not a biased entitled survivor making the poll.

the main problem with ds is that it can be abused in ways where it's not even an anti-tunnel perk. and to top it off, all 4 survivors can use it in a match. the perk alone also demands respect to killers when theres an obsession in the team. as a killer, you dont know if one person has it or the whole team.

it happens to me every now and then on switch. when this happens fully turn off your switch, give it a few mins and then turn it back on, that should fix it. it has for me every time

I can confirm that this works as well. Hold the power button on the switch and restart it.

Genuine question since I don't see them much

ive gone against a couple rank 1 twins where they slug everyone with victor. you should be glad that you dont face them. twins can one hook everyone anytime

Nobody takes me seriously when I say I genuinely use builds and strategies centred around Coulrophobia.

ive tried but i cant seem to ever get value out of it

  • Push for a 3 gen situation and get rid of the nearby pallets, so they can be dead zones.

  • Rank 1 Killer. mine take around 5 minutes sometimes around 2 if it’s a swf.

You get more blood points for hitting far range and a change like that will cause alot of trouble.

Huntress can literally throw a hatchet across the map and instantly confirm a hit. Deathslinger cannot confirm a long range hit the majority of the time because survivors can break the chain fast for their buddies or you can weave onto a wall or something. This is a change that he needs. Otherwise there's no point to play him when Huntress exists. She actually gets rewarded.

  • I feel like he should be able to hit you over a pallet when you get a shot in. Huntress is able to throw over the pallet. Why not deathslinger? The animation should also be him using his spear so it doesn't look clunky. Same goes for when he hits you over a window after a shot. It looks so weird.

  • I feel you man. It took me several tries to get this one. I wasted hundreds of thousands bloodpoints farming Judith’s Tombstones, Fragrant Tuft Hairs, and Black Wards. I had several trolls dc on me so i wouldn’t get the achievement or hide in lockers like you said. I luckily ended up getting semi-decent survivors that basically let me get it in the end when i got 2 kills.
