What glitch is this and how can I avoid it?
@OldHunterLight if you are looking at the ramp up to a hill, there are rocks on the right side. You can get stuck by walking close to the rock in multiple places. I have even gotten stuck on the hill near the top of the rock, close to the edge.
The above image shows one of the locations, originally posted by @luvcraft

What about Dwight in a Tankini though? Eh? Anybody?

As a Huntress main, I can confirm that the axes are DECEPTIVELY WIDE. I can hit people standing behind debris without direct line of sight to them if my hatchets just barely graze the side of the object they're hiding behind.
-
And while they're at it, they can make it so generators don't make noise or move when they're partially repaired, so the killer never knows which ones are being worked on. ๐

Best experienced with trapper, when the last person is sneaking around trying to find a good time to open the gate, but they step in a trap instead. Walk up to them and stare as they fail repeatedly to untrap themselves, only to find they don't have enough time left to open the gate.

Freddie, Doctor, and Spirit for sure. Doctor and Spirit get some crazy hits on me when I'm vaulting.

@D_Orien You're probably not thinking about the math behind your suggestion. @Sonzaishinai and @Kumakx is correct in their estimate.
Every survivor has 3 independent tries to jump off the hook, with a 96% failure rate. This translates to 96/100 times an unhook attempt will fail, which represented as a decimal value is 0.96.
Since each attempt is independent, to find your overall chance at jumping off hook, we would multiply 0.96 * 0.96 * 0.96 = 0.88, which is an ~88% chance to fail all three attempts to escape, or you could say you have a ~12% chance to escape.
If your 20% proposal was pushed through, 0.80 * 0.80 * 0.80 = 0.512 = 51.2%
chance to get off hookfailure rate, with 48.8% overall chance to unhook yourself (edit is in italics/strikethrough) if all three attempts were used. With odds like this, I would just face camp everyone to second stage hook. Is that what you want killers to do?If you really want more chances at unhooking, just run slippery meat for the 3 extra attempts to jump off hook. 0.96 * 0.96 * 0.96 * 0.96 * 0.96 * 0.96 = 0.78 = 78% total failure rate, 22% chance at unhooking (this math only works if you use ALL attempts to unhook yourself).
So yeah, just run Slippery Meat. You're welcome for this solution.

I just want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who responded to this post. I never expected this many replies!
And thank you for helping me realize I was placing arbitrary rules on what is right and wrong for killers to do. I should be focusing on what is fun for me, and what I enjoy. I can't thank you enough for straightening this out for me, and I'm not sure how it got into my head in the first place! I feel a little bit foolish for stepping into this pitfall, but hopefully my mistake is something that others can learn from.
I'll make sure to keep every interaction positive and to remember that at the end of the day, everyone is here to have fun- even if it means I die very early! I should take that moment to remind myself that maybe the killer is really enjoying the fact that I died so early haha.

The more I think about it, the more I think Sabotage is not as useful to Breakout. I think I might replace it with something else- maybe Dark Sense? I'm thinking in the sense of tiers:
Breakout (core)
T1: Mettle of Man, Dead Hard
T2: Spine Chill, Determination, Resilience
T3: Small game?, Dark Sense? (For secondary objectives?)

Depends if you want to bait the killer to swing at you. It takes some practice, but over time it's possible to consistently avoid the killer's attacks while they're carrying someone thanks to Breakout.
Getting the killer to swing at me wastes more time! I'm definitely willing to take a hit or bait an attack! Earlier today I was using Breakout next to a killer who had NOED, trying to be fearless with my extra haste!
I might actually put Mettle of Man in the build, honestly. The more I look at it, the more attractive it seems. It really plays into the fact that I'm trying to waste the killer's time for Breakout, and I'm pretty sure you get protection tokens for taking a hit from the killer while he's carrying someone.
I think Dead Hard might be the ideal 3rd or 4th perk because it could maybe bait out another missed attack, but I almost feel like the killers would ignore me and just go for the hook.

Breakout
Sabotage
Spine Chills - Increased speed when Killer is looking at you. Also used to know you're at the right hook.
Dead Hard or something for 4th perk
Wow I didn't think of spine chill! That's actually a really good idea, thank you so much! I was thinking maybe Resilience, but spine chill might actually be better in a general sense.

I sometimes run my Martyr build of the same nature:
Breakout, Sabotage, Mettle of Man and Dead Hard. Along with any med-kit with a styptic agent.
- Shadow the killer while they're chasing a survivor and take a hit as soon as they pick them up
- Reach the nearest hook before the killer and pop the styptic agent
- The moment you get hit start sabotaging. If you time it perfectly the hook will be broken just before the killer recovers
- Either DH away to avoid getting downed or take the 3rd hit. Taking the hit will proc MoM the next time you're up
This build and strategy is gimicky as hell. But it's really fun when it works.
I was thinking Mettle of Man would be a really good perk for the build! I really appreciate your input! I didn't even think of using a styptic agent, but that's actually next level haha.
On second thought, do you think that Sabotage is worth putting in the build? I almost feel like it's too slow if I'm going to really utilize Breakout... now I'm questioning myself. Hmm.

Honestly, this is how it has been since Pyramid Head was released, and I'm not sure why. People are determined every game to 4K, and the common killer mentality is, "The person on the hook is the weakest, so it's smart to tunnel them off hook; why would I chase anyone else when I can get an easy kill?".

I honestly have no idea how to play against Hillbilly. I always hear people say that he 'broadcasts his location' but I can never tell where he is by the audio cues of his chainsaw. It just sounds like a chainsaw revving 360 degrees around me. It's not 'directional' enough for me to tell where he could be.
It's gotten to the point where I just accept my death vs Hillbilly. I don't find him fun to play against, and there's no way for me to 'hide' like I would against a normal killer because he can sprint across the map.
