Wiretap and Open Handed are not meant to work together.
can we add a "doesnt work with aura extending effects" or something if it doesn't have it already?

The time required to be good with nurse is the most overblown stat I've ever seen.
You don't need 1000s or even hundreds of hours of practice.
It's like 10-20 and you'll be winning most of your games after that.

Only problem with old Hillbilly was insta chainsaw add-ons. His add-ons were way too good and even killer with low experience on him could win quite easy with him.
Only thing he needed was nerf his OP add-ons. What we got instead? (Almost) No charge speed addons, big nerfs to base kit and all his add-ons (generaly speaking) and worse and worse maps for him.
I do think Instasaw was a bit much but I also don't think it's any worse than any of the add-ons on here.
Making tuning guide a purple and adding some kind of downside for stacking cooldown add-ons would've been perfect but instead we gutted a killer who "was in a good spot".

For the most part, yes, I agree. Old Insta-saw was busted as hell, though.
I kind of think the devs might just legit hate Billy. Most of the skins he get's are garbage (imo), overheat is a pointless mechanic, and all his add-ons are pretty #########.
The worst crime was taking Sky Billy away.
Was it overtuned? Sure, would it be worse than Alch ring, Omega blink, Mother daughter ring?
I don't think so.

I made a brand new account on steam just now and the only 6 hidden achievements were the 6 from the wiki

Nothing new, with Myers 1 of his perks actually clashed with the other 2. Old dying light required you to kill the obsession which removed his other 2 perks from play.
Huntress has an undetectable perk despite having a lullaby. Spirit has a perk designed around being pallet stunned which should almost never happen as spirit. Monitor and Abuse hurts Doctor's static blast size. Bubba has/had m1 perks despite having a chainsaw. those are just examples from the top of my head
-
My main issue with it is latency, when the perk requires such precise timing a killer with a slightly higher ping than normal can give you situations where you pressed E at what should be the perfect time to tank a hit. But because he has 100 ping you go down anyway.
Remember the "exhausted on the ground" memes from when dedicated servers first dropped? its a basekit feature now.
-
I think it is honestly more grindy when you start, but for someone who has everyone but huntress currently P3 (she had a bunch of old cakes that i didnt want to lose) or higher I only have her t2 and t3 perks, and the base perks to unlock on everyone else. The more you prestige everyone to p3 the less perks youll have to worry about when you grind. When a new killer drops ill probably have all the base and new perks at T3 on them before prestige 2
The prestige change for teachables is a good idea in theory but it should've just been a bonus to prestiging and shouldn't have come with dumb things like removing Bonus BP, making the shrine more expensive, and forcing you to prestige and requiring you to pay to prestige.

Yeah it's a symptom of people being immature morons throwing tantrums instead of adapting.
Even IF this is the answer and people just need to "git gud". I can't say I even blame people for quitting, If Survivor queues are largely instant right now and you are completely miserable in the current match why wouldn't you just die and get into a more enjoyable experience.

I stopped prestiging characters after 2 killers because I realized the grind it would cause (before new system of course). Yesterday I see a "if you haven't already, do this NOW" video. He explained that if you had just grinded and not ever prestiged a character to prestige them now so you'd get p3 with the 2 gift levels. Well... I did so except with 5 lvl 50 killers I wanted to use for bp (to finish leveling a few survivors) before the update. I forgot to p1 those killers before bed. I thought this morning I'd see those 5 being p2... Now ALL my killers are p3 but with no add-ons or general (non teachable) perks except the 5 killers that I left un-prestiged accidentally.... Those killers are between p5 and p12 with all add-ons and perks retained.
I feel like this advice mixed with the confusing way the catch up rewards would work actively screwed me out of thousands of hours of gameplay. Anybody else follow this advice based on the update release info?
It depends on your situation, for me it was a no brainer, most of my killers were lvl 50 and didnt have a lot of perks. So id rather give up the add-ons and not have to worry about perks. It wasn't strictly bad advice but it was for you.

In my experience for the past like 3 years playing this game, Survivor queues are basically instant in the daytime and killers become instant during the night time. Central US time zone, late night is when I assume all the swfs log on. Whereas in the daytime not as many are playing.
check in like 4-6 hours and it will probably be bonus bp for playing killer

I do... even though I suck as Survivor
Im not talking about maxing 1 category.
Are you saying you regularly hit 30k+ bloodpoints in a game as survivor?

@brokedownpalace said:
Funnily enough, the best way to make use of these changes as survivor will be with Prove Thyself and No One Left Behind since their BP bonuses take effect during the trial and not after (like WGLF used to). I find that funny because Bhvr's whole reason for nerfing BBQ and WGLF is that they didn't want people to use perks to get more BP, but the most realistic and efficient way for survivors to actually be able to benefit from the category cap increases is to equip perks for their BP bonuses.
which yeah is a strategy but you have to tailor half your build around it, whereas killer you can run literally anything.

I've had plenty of games where I reach 30k as survivor, and those games are just games I play very well and that go on for a long time, usually 3-gen situations where the team plays smart and safe to get them done.
Also, the point in raising the max amount in each category wasn't to max out all categories. It's for the people who get stuck getting points in only one and letting them have a chance to get a few more points for their efforts. They stated it clearly in the update that this was the purpose. Obviously, killer has an easier time maxing the categories because the killer doesn't share objectives, but this is nothing new.
Not saying they never happen. But Getting 30k+ as survivor is a rare scenario or one in which you Tailor your entire build and playstyle around whereas 30k+ as a killer is almost a given.
I don't think asking for some BP increases to certain categories or changes to survivor BP gains in general is a ridiculous ask. Especially when at a given time 2-3 of the categories are out of your control which isn't the case as a killer.
If I get chased all game there goes any chance at Objective, Altruism and maybe even survival if you die
On the other side of that situation the other 3 get basically 0 altruism and a miniscule amount of Boldness.

Rule of thumb here is - if it is not in the Patchnotes, it is 99,99% a Bug. Especially since the PTB-Patchnotes state the Shard-costs for the specific Perk Tiers and they are all way below 15k.
And notice how they specifically choose to leave out the cost of buying perks for bp out of that.
Nothing so far has convinced me that the 15k shard change is anything more than just a garbage change on bhvr's end.
Would love to be wrong here.

Have you seen any evidence that it is intended? No? Then assume it is a Bug.
Surely if it was unintended there would've been some response by now saying otherwise.
