Seems like a waste of time just for that, I know it's better to get your feedback out their but he could've atleast explained why he dislikes it while also listing things he does like, there are better manners than just saying "I hate it."
I think an overwhelming majority would agree with him and understand he doesn't need to make the same arguments literally every other player is making right now.
The new Ui is bad, and we all know why it's bad.

I just came back to the game today after about two or three months of not playing. I don't have great internet 24/7 and it tends to fluctuate throughout the day. Some games have better connections than others, but it's proven too unreliable for me to constantly want to play the game like some regulars will. I'll resort to a single-player game usually if that's the case or just do something else.
I think what motivates me are watching YouTubers. My favorite is Tru3. I like others but I prefer his videos since they make for decent background noise and his personality isn't obnoxious. Whenever I see a really good Nurse game or a really good Wraith game it gets me in a mood where I'd want to have a crack at the character. I also have quite a few killers still at level 1 so I still technically haven't "Finished" the game yet.
After that it's a snowball effect. I came back and had a very good first game as Nurse by just mimicking what I saw and learned from DBD streamers/YouTubers. This only pushes me to keep playing until I lose interest or get tired.

alternate title:
People aren't playing a game they bought the way I want them to play it and that's simply unfair.

B-but that's my buddy. My pal, my amigo, my homie, my bro, my compadre, my comrade, my confidante, my +1, my better half, my player 2, and more importantly, my friend.

I was thinking about some action movie characters who would make for interesting survivors. I figure their #1 priority is to survive their mission or adventure with quick wit and will. What makes them different from the survivors featured in the game already?
I was thinking characters like John Rambo (First Blood), John McClane (Die Hard), or Sarah Connor (Terminator) could be cool.
-
At most I assumed these were just survivors pulled from different timelines. Kind of explaining why Laurie Strode and Jake Park have older versions of themselves as alternative costumes, Dwight can appear in different work uniforms, and Ace seems younger in some alternative skins. It's also my way of explaining why four Megs can work together on the same team.
(side note: imagine working with three other versions of yourself.)

You guys report that stuff?
So what if a stranger talks crap in a tiny box after the game is over? I'd expect the people in charge get countless legitimate reports and salty ones, I feel like that's a waste of energy to report harmless banter, why not have fun with it?
Seriously you outplayed them enough they felt the need to type the classic "#########" line, why not embarrass them further with a fire comeback? Don't have the creative energy to? Ignore it and move on.
-
Are people that helpess they need a so-so ex troll to tell them to just play and ignore? Come on, man.
Learn it's just a game and trolls have no power, case closed.
-
Lobby dodging could be because of anything. Sometimes a lobby's connection is dodgy and I'd rather dodge the game than play a laggy round where a handful of mistakes can snowball into a loss, in part due to connection speed.

I completely understand why SWFs were first introduced into the game, but after 4 years they are doing far more harm than good. SWFs make it unfun for killers, who are forced to run the same meta perks in order to have a remote chance against them (aka gen slowing perks, or survivor slowing perks). BHVR decided to nerf one hook moris because it was the easiest method for slowing down a team. Now killers are forced to either 3 gen, slug or camp in order to try and secure a 4k almost every game.
As a result of SWFs, que times for survivors are awful because the 80/20 balance isn't maintained. No one wants to continuously go against SWF teams which is why you will constantly get lower ranks as killer and que times are immediate because no one is playing killer at lower ranks anymore. This is creating a vacuum, and I feel as though it will only get worse. As I play survivor, I see matches where I'm solo que'd against a rank 13 or 14 killer because a 2 man SWF team decided to play with a rank 16.
As both a survivor and killer main, this is extremely frustrating because as a survivor, I'm wondering why my teammate is playing so poorly (not knowing they are new to the game) often times causing us to die because of a mistake that a veteran player could see coming. As a killer, it's frustrating because I always seem to go against the extremely optimized teams, all running BT, Unbreakable, DS and some exhaustion perk only to get gen rushed and depip because I couldn't move as fast as someone could speak on comms.
What I propose is this, either incentivize solo queing i.e. give more BP to solo folks after a match or simply place a debuff on SWF teams, 10% with 2 people, 15% with 3 and 20% with 4. Give killers the chance to slow down the game slightly enough where people no longer need to run the same 12 perks over and over again. If killers can start having more fun with the game rather than stress about each match, not only would new players come to dbd but veteran players I feel would return as well.
I just want to invite my friends as killer...

Because then people would just rage and shriek on the voice chat and I most definitely don't want to hear any disgusting russian mumbling from anybody as I'm playing. It would just increase toxicity. Forums are the right place for people to complain about game issues.
What's wrong with disgusting filthy dirty nogood Russians and their putrid rotting voices?

@GrimmReaper said:
Mate, if they added this you'd have no eardrums left.
You can turn voices lower in most games which feature a voice chat.

Im going to stop at "survivors and killer can hash out frustrations after the match"
The killer should really never win against a sfw if they just do gens. If the killer does win its because they pulled some bullshit.
Now on to reading the rest of your post i can see you...actually understand this and what it would mean for the game and that's exactly what you want? Its a pretty confusing stance to take because no one is going to give a ######### that you're "shaming them" theyre going to busy mocking you for dying. The fact that by your own admission you rage out to point of not being able to play it means the LAST thing you should be asking for is voice chat lol. Screaming at the killer is not going to make you feel better and don't even get me started on playing killer! You'd have an aneurysm man lol
I mean if you want to say I'm raging when I take a break from a game after a string of rough matches then go ahead lol. I know when to fold.
Shaming them, badgering them, if I could swear, ######### with them, etc. Whatever synonym for antagonize you'd like to use, I want to do it. Making funny noises, telling dumb jokes, hell if I wanna sing what should stop me? What's wrong with a that? Don't like the hypothetical post game chat? Mute it. Done deal. I'm saying there could be a set of players who would probably enjoy this more than you'd think.

Toxicity doesn't bother me for the most part, but I know some people will not like to hear little Jimmy! ๐
Imagine there's cuss words and all kinds of ugly words mixed into my scenario! ๐
Killer: "Ah, you're so toxic, bringing a key!"
Survivor: "Too easy, baby killer gets rekt!
Killer: "You think you're so good because you have a key and t-bag! You're so bad!"
Of course there's probably more scenarios I can see with NOED, DS, "Genrushing" and Slugging. All are no good! ๐
Hey man sometimes little Jimmy pops off and says something hella funny it would be gold.

All I know is, this would significantly increase reports and bans. I'm in favor of in game proximity chat
The salt mines, it'd be glorious.
Getting face camped wouldn't be so bad if you could trash talk the killer at the same time MW2 style.

"No going to the forums and crying, no seething reddit posts, just good ol fashioned online voice chat.ย "
Yeah, then they will insult the other side before opening a Forum Thread.
I mean, look at Postgame Chats now, you cannot be serious thinking that Voice Communication should be a thing.
I never get the funny text box stuff you guys seem to always come across. Yes absolutely add post game voice chat.

If I wanted to socialize I wouldn't be at home playing video games.
Ahhh you know what I mean.
I'm just saying it'd be easier to find other people who play this game as well, making it more enjoyable probably on your end assuming you wouldn't have many friends to play with to start.

You mean something like this:
No thanks, I don't want to hear little Jimmy crying at me! ๐
Worst case scenario yes.
Best case scenario this

Demogorgon is practically a rabid animal and would probably attack and kill any killers that couldn't realistically stand a chance. Pig, Clown, Legion, and Ghostface are just people when down to brass tax and demo would tear their innards out.
Thank goodness for immortality.

It's a shame that no one ever plays the new characters that come out. I mean I rarely see Tapps, Kates, Adams (almost extinct), Jeffs and now Janes... the most recent characters, no one plays these.
I think it's because many of us already have old characters with P3-full perks and wouldn't really play any of the new ones unless they're super interesting and unique with decent perks. I thought many would main Jane, but I almost never see them so guess not.
As for Jeff, he's kinda huge and hard to hide with, has loud voice and is pretty ugly if you ask me, plus not to mention that female characters are way more popular.
Interesting side point, why are female characters so much more popular than male characters? I'm guessing it has something to do with "muh waifu" but it can't solely by that... Right?

Oh my god it's a video game with a big enough player base to get a few naughty players. That's bound to happen anyways no matter what game it is. CoD was notorious for that back in the day, thank god this game doesn't have voice chat otherwise I feel like there'd be more complain threads here.
Then again, maybe a voice chat would be therapeutic for this community.
-
That krampus skin just gonna make you feel even worse when you get dunked on by a SWF flashlight team and realize a skin has no bearing on your ability to play.
-
I guess your teammates are determining that for you? I've been running into what feels like new players recently so maybe you're just getting stuck with rank 10,11,12 teammates... Like me!
-
This is my first rift do you need to complete literally every challenge or do you just need to reach the end to receive your auric cells? I only do challenges I know I have time and patience for so I hope I'm not screwing myself.
-
Better idea:
Map: Ground Zero - Hrioshima inspired map with blown out hospitals, shops, small homes, and alleyways.
Killer: The Mutant
Irradiated and mutated creature of nuclear fusion, maybe a sea monster-type killer mutated by the nuclear energy from the blasts (Godzilla-esque backstory)
I can't think of a survivor who wouldn't be what you said already. I was thinking like a crashed American pilot. But usually survivors are separated from the theme of the killer. I'd say have a scientist survivor, say a physicist character who saw no boundaries in their research, willing to do anything or go anywhere for their field.

You Win. I am uninstalling this game. First game of the night. You where a team on comms telling each other where you where and where I was. You where using BT and waiting until I got into range with my terror radius. You where body blocking. You all had Balanced Landing and where on Coal Tower with a hill. You used them perfectly. You utterly destroyed me as a killer, and as a player. You succeded at making me have no fun, so well done. I hope you enjoyed crushing a person in such a way. You deserve it for how well you used a program the game was never intended to use to bully a human individual trying to have a good time. Just playing some Legion. But I am now uninstalling this game. I want to like this game. I want to love this game. But as killer it is just too frustrating for me, and I would rather not have anything to do with a game that lets me be abused in such a manner. I hope someday this is fixed. Goodbye.
Bad gamer is sad gamer

Ruin has helped me control gens while I'm out keeping survivors busy. I don't know what my luck is with ruin spawns but I normally get decent hiding spots for my hex. There have been the comically obvious placements but I can't think of any notable times it's screwed me. I like to run Ruin with Pop in case it is found early.

My friend recently bought this game and his first dlc killer he purchased were the Twins. I feel bad now that he's starting the game off with a bad killer in a broken update where none of their powers can reliably work.
Won't be surprised if that turns him off from DBD. The wait times in ques are already ridiculous enough. I won't blame him if he just doesn't have the patience for this.
-
Every night I play killer, I can bet money that my first three games will include Haddonfield and Springwood, usually in that order. These and the Game are a pain in the neck on a bad day.
My personal favorite is Ormond, for either role.

@HelterSmelter said:
I came up with this late last night but what if certain characters had costumes that were at least nods or references to survivors we may not be able to have in DBD? For example:
Concept 1: Ghostbusters, imagine if Dwight, Adam, Ace, and whoever can represent Aykroyd's character got the Ghostbusters jumpsuit as a costume or skin? Imagine a SWF Ghostbusters group costume.
Concept 2: Scooby Doo, Felix in a white sweater and orange ascot, red haired Kate in a purple dress, Feng in an orange sweater. A shaggy costume would break the game so no shaggy.
... Now I'm running out of ideas.
Concept 3:Orange SCP subject Jumpsuits, just a little way to recognize internet horror culture. Just some thoughts, I figure it'd be fun to think about how we could dress up our funny little survivor characters.
I also had the idea of Arnold's outfit from Predator. Maybe for David King?
