No thanks. Too many gates spawn close together or too many Killers who can easily patrol two gates for this to work.

Agreed. In far to many maps the gates spawn very or fairly close enough to one another for a reset, or even regression to be fair. And if we’re being honest perks like Blood Warden do work, it’s just a matter of knowing when to use it, in what builds, and what Killers work best with the perk. Not all perks are going to be great for all killers, just like not all perks are going to be great for all survivors. Explore your options, play with new builds, and always trust that there is a reason the gates don’t regress or restart. Even taking that option out is enough for a killer to be losing a game having hooked and sacrificed one survivor, to then end up with a full kill game maybe 3 kill game. As I said earlier, certain killers are better at gate patrol as well. Huntress for example, can throw an axe as far as until it collided with something. In most maps, the gates spawn within close vicinity allowing her to be at one gate and halt progress on another by simply throwing an axe. Like I said, explore your options more and try new builds. There’s more than one way to skin a cat.

  • Okay, so I’m just gonna throw it out there, that I feel this. I do being more of a survivor player myself due to numerous toxic games I’ve had where I’ve played a new killer I didn’t quite understand. But I also wanna acknowledge that not ALL survivors who spam crouch are trying to be toxic. As a survivor player, I spam it when there are fellow survivors nearby in a form of just saying “hi” and acknowledging that I see them and know they are there. Sometimes I will also spam it with a killer and then, I’ll sometimes even go as far as running out of the exit to allow them to get a sacrifice on me if they haven’t gotten at least one. There are in fact a lot of toxic survivors, AND killers that play, but that doesn’t mean we should just assume that someone who is crouching repeatedly is trying to be a jerk. Especially since there still aren’t any emotes in the game to like “give a thumbs up” or “a friendly good job” like a clap emote. I even went as far once, as allowing a new killer playing as Pig to kill me, AND I sent her a build I had that worked really well at monitoring gens and keeping up with survivors. So I do feel this, but don’t just assume all survivors are toxic. Because a lot of killers are too sometimes, and that’s what makes some survivors toxic in return. But I do still love to see people encouraging new killers!!

Because it's fun to play both sides. Seeing survivors make mistakes I know I make all the time is amusing. Easy BP - bad match as killer will always give me more BP than bad match as survivor. Also more freedom to do weird stuff like be Mikey and kill people that enter the Myers house. Or play as Ghostface and mark people but not go after them and watch them run off from whatever they were doing. 😂

I’m a huge fan of the GhostFace one. Personal favorite😂

  • It definitely is common for Switch! It happened to me at least 3 times when I first got the game on my Switch. In one of the matches, not only did a killer not load in, a survivor also disconnected and didn’t load in either!

I'm not saying they would have to take it out. Tbh i only really never use his stalking because i want extra hits for points and pips.

If we are on the topic of stalking I'd say he falls just a little short on that. If we make it so he only loses 25% of his stalking as he hits the survivor being stalked, I'd say that would be great.

As of now completely 99% stalking someone and being pulled out of stealth so you are forced to hit and reset the stalk on someone is kinda weird in my opinion. Making it so he loses only portions of his stalk while hitting someone is perfect. Enough to get a mark off quickly, but not enough to sneak up and down them instantly with a tap of a button. I also forgot to mention, yes ghostface is one of the top played killers for me. he's great. One of my favorite killers to play and one of the ones i succeed with the most.

I agree with that 100%. When stalking a survivor almost to max just to be pulled out of the ability, it does put a huge gap in time where that survivor basically made his ability pointless. It is definitely in need of a tweak.

Ghostface is deadly if played right, I love him because you can have many different play styles with him. Whether it’s stalk, hit n run, or a mix of both and more, you can dominate high ranked survivors. I love playing all killers (but nurse because console sucks with her) and ghost face is high up on my favourite killer list.

i also like what he does with his left hand when walking

I love the feel of his build as well! I feel he does have some bugs on both the survivor side, and his own, as I’ve seen some in game, but when he used right and his ability is used to it’s best degree I feel he has a multitude of play styles, and I love his Mori kill mostly. I feel some of the other killers’ mori’s are good but his just makes me laugh every time. And he has an average amount of pressure, and high stakes takedown, since once fully stalked it only takes one basic attack to knock down a survivor, and bring them to the hook.

Ghostface needs some quality of life changes and tweaks. Like the taking out of stalk mechanic is..literally broken. It doesn't do what it's supposed to sometimes. Tweak him a little bit and he can be perfect. I really only use him for his terror radius power rather than stalk people.

I understand this. But what about for people that actually do use his stalk ability. And if they were to take it out, they would of course have to replace it with another Power since the whole concept of killers is to have their own unique abilities and ways of handling the survivors. I agree his ability needs some fixing with bugs, and maybe he could use some new skins, but I do not feel as though taking his ability out would make much of a difference.

I would agree except that players have rotational vision, when working on a gen you can swivel the cam behind you and look. Wraith has distortion in his invisibility and pig can crouch for undetectable but still can be seen. The only killer that has true invisibility (I think, not 100%) is Freddy and he has a giant lullaby that plays when he is close, still best stealth tho i think

I agree with both sides of this. You are right then players have rotational vision, and I feel it seems pretty balanced not to be able to reveal him while working on a gen since your not actually facing or intending to find him. I have however seen the bug playing as both GF and survivor, where I can’t reveal him when he is directly in front of me. But also while playing as GF, Ive had trouble really being able to read the white notification markers that are supposed to reveal where he is being revealed from. One marker will be on the top left side of my screen, but the survivor will really be on in front of me to the right.

My honest opinion is the reason why people think GhostFace is good at all is because he's broken as hell and his power is so buggy that it actually makes him a somewhat viable killer. If his power was 100% functional he would be terrible. The time it takes for his power to recharge is way too long, it only becomes acceptable with two of his best cooldown add-ons.

I played the beta and it did nothing to cause me to desire buying the game.

Being the Mastermind was painfully boring and being the survivors was...well...also really boring :D

Maybe if I gave it more of a chance I'd like it but I'm not going to pay $60 for that chance.

Agreed. It’s a nice small MP add-on to RE but the beta didn’t really spark for me to want to pay $60 to buy the game. I think if it was free I’d probably download it and play it every once in a while, but I feel it’s not a game I could play forever. DBD however, even with its differing concepts on nerfs, buffs, and everything else, is constantly being updated with new killers, survivors, and maps and they have events that also keep me playing. I don’t see Resistance taking up that kind of game position.

I would dare say Nurse is not S tier herself anymore, at least way less people are playing her as it's just become such a quality of life nightmare playing stun simulator 5000. She may still mechanically have the capability but she is such a pain to play now. I guess keep her in S tier for those that are willing to put up with the headache.

As others have said, I can't take this seriously if you're putting Freddy in B tier, I mean I play Freddy often and hes is probably the strongest killer in the game right now at least in terms of effort vs. reward. Spirit and Billy need to be up on S tier as well. They are the killers who are viable on every map which is critical.

A tier should have Doctor, Ghostface, Oni, and Huntress. All are more than capable of dominating a game but they all have one or two weaknesses that put them slightly below the optimal guys.

B tier would be Wraith, Hag, Pig, Myers, and Trapper. All can be good in many situations but all have some weakness whether it be setup times (Hag, Trapper, and Myers) Addon dependence (Wraith) or power not generating enough pressure (Pig).

C tier would have Deathslinger, Plague, and Demogorgon. Deathslinger is worse huntress, Plague is just always going to be mid-tier until they rework it so she gets a pool of devotion no matter what, and Demo just really doesn't fit a niche right now with his portal setup times, you could move him to B tier though due to his good chase potential and ending loops quickly with shred.

D tier just has Bubba, Clown, and Legion for obvious reasons.

    So to recap:

S Tier - Nurse, Spirit, Freddy, Hillbilly

A Tier: Doctor, Ghostface, Oni, and Huntress

B Tier: Wraith, Pig, Myers, Hag, and Trapper

    C Tier: Deathslinger, Plague, Demogorgon

    D Tier: Bubba, Clown, Legion.

I agree with your ratings 100%. I play A TON of Ghostface, Legion, and Pig to agree that Ghostface can easily not only hold his own, but can apply a decent amount of pressure, as long as you play him right. His stalk ability is a great way to apply pressure, as every survivor that you have max stalked can be downed with one hit. While a pallet can cause him trouble, I’ve had loads of fun tricking a survivor into thinking I’m moving one way, and blocking their other path in turn. Legion is a main of mine, because I love being able to give a survivor a status effect and allow them to fight their own. I love he challenge. He is definitely one of the lower ranked ones, but if you have good perks equipped, you can just as easily apply pressure on survivors by marking them with a status effect, and downing them slowly. But I agree he is at the bottom. Pig is definitely at least B tier, because while her ability is kind of sucky at immediate pressure, it does still stall survivors out on completing gens which allows you to play her to your advantage. By putting a bear trap on a survivors head, most often then not their immediate reaction is to try and get it off, as to avoid immediate death. They have a 1 in 4 chance of going to the right Jigsaw box, which gives you optimal time to catch them, or other survivors in the process of moving the game forward. And the Pigs personal perks also allow a player to slow the game further, by allowing Pig to track survivor progress on gens. Her p perk Surveillance is one of my favorites, as any time more than 1 survivor is working on a gen, it will highlight the gen yellow, allowing me to make the survivors scatter, while also preventing an immediate gen completion. It might also give me the opportunity to catch one and bear trap em’! So Pig is definitely up in the charts, for anyone that likes to play long game, hook line and sinker.
