    I've been playing DbD before Legion came out, and each second of it was fun, but it just seems like I'm always "cheating". If i down a bodyblocking survivor? I'm toxic, If I down a teabagging survivor at the gate and hook them? I'm toxic. If i kill all 4 survivors? I get called every offensive name in the book. I don't know what to do anymore. Is it because I main killers? Am I just really unlucky? Am I in the wrong for trying to win as killer? What am I doing wrong?

    At this point, I just want to uninstall the game and never look back.

    Hi, I'm sorry to hear of your frustration, it may be a good idea to take a break from the game and maybe revisit it in a while when you feel ready again (or not, that's your valid choice to make).

    The game is set up in an us vs them mentality - for survs, it's them against the killer so it's easy for them to only think about their fun and if things don't go according to plan, most of the time they'll easily blame the player they went up against, the killer, because that's how the game is designed. And the same goes for the killer, it's them against the survivors, if they lose they can easily blame the survivors or claim SWF and/or comms are at fault or the map or whatever. It's unforunately the nature of a game like this when you have two "teams"/sides going against each other. And with a lot of ppl in the community being very bad sports and being toxic, that's how it goes. It takes a lot for some ppl to swallow their pride and ego and congratulate the opposing team if they've beaten them, especially if they've done a great job beating them.

    Just yesterday I was looping a killer (I play surv mostly, but I also play killer (Wraith) from time to time and enjoy it, I just don't take killer seriously and just go for challenges - it makes it a lot less sweaty and stressful and more enjoyable for me) and I was doing a great job looping/rabbiting (if I do say so myself), got a few pallet stuns as well, but the killer eventually bamboozled me and caught me (well played to them). It was a ghostface and they then teabagged me when they finally downed me and camped my hook. I never teabag as survivor and I didn't teabag him once. I just had a challenge to get pallet stuns. So I felt like that was poor sportsmanship on their part, I didn't gloat in their face when I stunned them, I kept focus, so I felt it was unnecessary. But that's my point, it's how it goes. People take the game too seriously (I do as well at times, it's easy to get caught up in it at times).

    TL:DR; it's the nature of the game - take a break if you feel you need to, I'm sorry to hear of your frustration. Hope you feel better soon!

  • Sorry to hear of your frustration, it gets to be like that with this game a lot of times and then it's good to take a break for a while. I've done that a couple of times this year (especially during the RE chapter release and the mess that it was).

    Just wanted to bring it to your attention that the support ticket submission system has been temporarily shut down firstly because there's a backlog of tickets they need to get to and secondly, because BHVR's offices are closed for the holidays, they re-open on the 3rd of Jan. A quick search here in the forums would have told you that - I haven't visited the forum in months and have been here once a day checking out what the people are complaining about now for the past 2-3 days and from the couple of threads I've read, I already know that the BHVR offices are closed now - so I do believe you could've just checked before you posted this rant and claimed that this proves they don't care.

    As someone who works in the property industry (I work for a student accommodation rental company) and has to deal with people not respecting our work hours and my private time pretty much constantly and expecting me to work when our offices are closed (because they want accommodation NOW and they have no consideration for whether or not our offices are closed for the holidays, they just assume we are open 24/7 to handle their requests when they snap their fingers), I hate this attitude of entitlement. You said BHVR doesn't care because they've shut down the system, but have you looked into why it's shut down? The entitlement of people constantly expecting people to work even during dedicated down times (when offices are closed) is disgusting. Especially this time of year when most people know that a lot of businesses are closed until after the new year for the holidays. If it was another time, I could've understood you not checking beforehand or just assuming that it is proof that they don't care, but this time of year, there's a valid reason.

    Please keep in mind that the people who work for BHVR are PEOPLE too and deserve a break once in a while too, no matter your (or anybody's) dissatisfaction with the state of the game.

    And to be clear, I also have my issues with the game and things I would like BHVR to change/improve, so it's not like I'm their biggest fan. But I do realize they are a company that people work for that also need breaks from work from time to time, they can't keep going 24/7.

    I don't mean to be rude (so sorry if I come across that way), but I have to admit what you said triggered something in me, because I deal with this kind of entitlement and expectance to work 24/7 all the time, so I just wanted to bring it to your attention, maybe others too, so that they can realize how it feels on the other side and maybe be more considerate and patient this time of year.

  • I am so sorry for your loss!! Unfortunately had to say goodbye to my cat end of January this year (due to old age), so I know how much it hurts - and if you're anything like me, your pets become friends/family and the loss of them is the same as it would be for any human. My condolences! Just know that because you loved them, they had the best life because they were loved and that's ultimately the best thing you can do for them, is just to love them.

    What loadout did they have? Read every perk and addon description after the game and if he has nothing for it, you can rule that out.

    You could show gameplay, so we can tell you more. When did the wraith see you the last time, scratchmarks, crows, is a gen nearby?

    Exactly, like I said, we'd need more info from OP to determine if the killer could've possibly been a hacker.

    I run BBQ and bitter murmur and if I run the purple all seeing add-on as well, I know where you are most of the time unless you keep far away from me. BBQ lets you know where survs are when you hook someone (and if their auras aren't revealed it means they are close) and bitter murmur reveals auras to me when a gen gets done, so I can see in which direction they are running from the gen and that helps me intercept them when they're running to work on the next gen. With purple all seeing add-on, I can see survivor auras of those who are close to me when I'm cloaked, so that means I can see you even if you're hiding and I'm close to you. So if the killer OP mentioned ran these, they may not have been hacking, they may just have a lot of aura revealing perks/add-ons to help them know where survs are majority of the time. So we need to know what perks/add-ons this Wraith was running in order to determine whether or not it's plausible to suspect them of hacking.

    I personally think looping doesn’t take a lot of skill especially if you can see the killer over the objects you’re looping at at higher level gameplay..What I think takes more skill is when survivors pause and wait at certain points of jungle gyms to see if the killer either commits or double backs to the pallet side then they play accordingly. Also survivors who predict if the killers going to double back at L and T walls, shack vault, long wall etc by paying attention to the red stain and win mindgames are good survivors imo.

    Each killer has a unique power, a good survivor knows how to counter every killer power accordingly..

    This ^^ 100% agree.

  • I can only speak for myself and the reason I put it on my surv main and killer main - I am an ally with loads of gay friends even through I'm straight myself. So I'm always an LGBT+ friendly player that doesn't mind putting anything LGBT+ related on my characters as I want to show support for their community. Plus it's a cool charm, so nice and colourful 🤩

    Don't know the percentage of LGBT+ players of DBD and I've never been interested in knowing that as it doesn't actually matter to me (as the fact that someone may have a different sexual orientation or gender identity and love other people that I, a cis straight woman would love, doesn't matter especially when it's related to playing a game where orientation and gender isn't a factor, y'know? Love is love. It's not relevant to the game itself in my opinion, so I don't give it much thought)

  • I currently main Wraith (whenever I play killer, I'm more of a surv main actually) and if you have basic killer skills (as in intuition where survs may be and if you listen to any audio clues they may give) and you run All seeing spirit purple add-on and/or pink add-on, then it gets easier to know where survs are. But going up against higher rank survs, they won't be found as easily (won't be in obvious locations) and will do gens while a chase is going on, so as to not waste any time. I only find the purple all seeing spirit add-on to be useful against newer survs that don't have a strat going into the match or solo queue survivors sometimes. I actually don't like running the pink all seeing add-on, as seeing gens get done just stresses me out haha

    I only run the purple all seeing add-on when I have a challenge that I want/need help with/want to complete as fast as possible (because I mainly play killer just to complete rift challenges), otherwise I run a swift wind add-on (the add-on to make you faster when cloaked) and the add-on to make you uncloak faster. Sometimes I run some other add-ons, like the bone clapper add-on or the add-on that makes your bell silent (when I'm in the mood to properly scare survs a bit for the laughs) or the add-on that gives aura blindness when hit. I rarely, if ever, use brown add-ons on Wraith.

    And side note, I love the killer rift challenges that say e.g. "Hit a survivor with your weapon 25 times" or "down survs 25 times", cause I can just go into a match and not really worry about hooking people (that's not to say I won't hook them, it's just that I won't feel pressured to have to kill them and win the match), just go around chasing and hitting them, not caring if I win or not, because my goal is to complete my challenge, rather than winning the match. And that makes it a lot more fun for me and I think the survs as well.

    To get back to your question OP (sorry for my tangent...), I think we'd need a bit more info to determine whether the killer could have been hacking, e.g. what level of surv are you and what were the levels of the other survs? What were the killer's add-on/perks?

    I'm not trying to excuse people who DC (and if i am that's not my intensions) but do you think that most people are dcing because of the poor optimization? Most of us have experienced lag causing survivors and killers to lose out on chases making it very frustrating. I'm going to assume the best and say that they got fed up with the optimizing and decided not to play. What do you think?

    I play DBD on PC and I can only speak for myself - I've disconnected a ton this past week because I moved to a different place and my internet kept cutting out - not once did I DC because I wanted to rage quit, I actually wanted to play games to use my cake offerings and get some extra BP. So not everyone is rage quitting when they DC, but I definitely know there are some that DC to rage quit and that's not cool if they do it often or if it happens to you when you play often (that others DC, cause then it would suck for you). Whenever a match sucks for me, I'll rather just die on hook, but I won't DC (except very rarely, if I REALLY get tilted, and if I do on the rare occasion DC, I take a break because that means I'm not enjoying the game and should take a break from it) as I want to at least get SOME BP or maybe I made a bit of progress on a challenge that I would lose if I DC'ed. I would also never DC at the start of a match, just because it's a killer or map I hate, I feel everyone needs to roll with the punches and at least give the match a try. Do things I hate in the game make me want to DC sometimes out of frustration and just pure spite (to spite a killer for instance), yes. Will I though? No. Usually when I DC is not intentional and it sucks cause I get kicked out of the game and can't go tell the people I just played the match with "Hey, my internet went out, that's why I DC'ed, I'm so sorry!".

    And a lot of you will probably say don't play the game if you know you have a good chance to DC and I would agree, I'm sorting out my internet problems here and seems like I finally got a solution for the package loss and drops I've been experiencing, so now my connection is more stable here at my new place. I did however need to test possible solutions out on live games and I DC'ed a ton because initially nothing worked.

    So TLDR; not everybody DCs on purpose. If they all DC at the start of a match though or after being hit, it's suspicious.

    How do you guys nod as survivors? I can do it as killer but when I just move my mouse up and down as a survivor it just angles the camera differently. It doesn't look like I'm "nodding".

    To nod as surv is the same action as for killer, so you're doing it correctly, it just looks different because you're in 3rd person mode instead of 1st person as with killer, but when you move you mouse up and down, you nod, with both survivor and killer.

  • Hasn't the DC penalty been back ever since the 5th year anniversary event ended?

  • I had a couple of really fun matches as killer yesterday especially. I main Wraith (cue the judgement haha) and I had a couple of rift challenges I wanted to do - knock down 25 survs, chase survs for 300 secs and damage 20 gens. So what I'd do is, I'd find a survivor, chase them and down them and hook them, each once, but only once (for BBQ stacks, which is only for each first hook), then the rest of the game I only chase and hit them and damage gens until they eventually get them done. One match had an afk survivor that DC'ed shortly after, so I assume they had internet trouble or had a case of the "Behaviours" (aka got kicked from the game randomly as is the case for a lot of ppl since the chapter release), so the other 3 I hooked once and then showed them to do gens and would chase them and hit them and sometimes down them but not hook them, so that they also get lots of BP.

    I remember one match I still got about 31K and the survivor with the highest score also got 30K and the rest in the 20K's.

    I really enjoyed playing this way, just having fun chasing and whacking ppl, not stressing about hooks or winning and the survivors are so appreciative in end game chat (mostly). It mutually beneficial especially now if there are 3-5 cakes offered. When I have other challenges though, I will obviously play the game normally, but I do enjoy these types of challenges from time to time where I can still complete my challenge and not have to go all out and can make it fun for everyone, including myself.

  • OP, I hear you, I agree that the best time to use them is now during the event, because more people are likely to use them now during the event, so more cakes equals more stacking. I also hate it when I offer a cake and no one else does - it's like okay, be selfish, I'll grant YOU extra BP because what I offered benefits everyone, but you won't do it in return. Luckily most matches people offer 3-5 cakes, rarely am I the only one. I've also seen survs in lobby saying CAKES in chat before the match (I'm on PC) to ensure this. On what platform do you play OP? Cause if you play on PC, you can maybe try doing that.

    I've made sure I have at least one cake on all my survivors that I own (I don't own all of them yet) and I recently got Feng and levelled her up to 50 and as a result, got 20 cakes along the way haha so I better play her a bit (I just hate her basic cosmetic, was waiting until I could buy the cosmetic that I want for her, but maybe it's better to just play now)

  • @drpynz said:

    I don't know about anyone else but its just way too bright. It's hard to see un-repaired gens as a killer and i have a hard time seeing hooked survivors when I play survivor. I don't have my my brightness turned up or anything like that. Anyone else have this issue? I mean, its really hard to see aura's.

    Yeah, personally I love the rework, but I hate that it's in the daytime now as I used to love old Coldwind (also because we used to get it so often, so it was one of the first maps, along with Autohaven that I knew really well - and we still get Coldwind a lot now after the rework, seemingly more often than other maps). I appreciate that they went for a different time of day to mix things up, but I think they did it on the wrong map - with it being so bright, I almost feel that it's harder to spot someone hiding in the cornfield as killer and as survivor, I again feel that it's somehow harder to hide in the cornfield with it being so bright. I think if they did it on say Haddonfield or maybe some of the Badhams (for the different Badhams they could maybe randomize the time of day as well if possible, or if not, make say 2 in daytime, 2 at night and 1 at dusk).

    This is just a rough idea at the moment. I've been seeing the controversy between two content creators which genuinely seems to me that we can't agree. In my personal opinion nerfing the top tier SWF will only impact the game in negative ways for mostly the rest of the player base. I tried thinking of a way to potentially help all other roles in the game, with minimal impact to the solo Q survivors and a potential benefit to the killers. Here is what I came up with:

    Proximity chat could potentially be the solution. The only thing a SWF has over 4 solo Q survivors is communication and knowledge of the others' skillsets. This benefit gives them a major advantage in the long run and things such as discord or a party on console will never stop giving this advantage, however if proximity chat makes it's debut in DBD it would give solo Q survivors a similar alternative to grouping up with friends. This would encourage survivors to group up together (which for killers would be beneficial because being together for longer than a heal is usually considered not optimal gameplay, slowing the game down a tiny bit) to discuss what to do. This also helps close the gap between a SWF and a solo Q survivor, making balance changes much less strenuous and difficult for the devs to pull off. This would allow solo q survivors to have much more strategy in the game than currently available and be more confident in playing solo q despite the disadvantage of not having map wide comms.

    However, this could also provide a benefit to killers as well. In theory if proximity chat could be heard by killers, it could give information to the killer depending on the situation. The thought is that solo Q survs need to group up to make a plan (giving that benefit to the killer already with the survs being grouped up) but also the killer would be able to discern how many survivors are potentially in the area ( newer killers would find this better). Another thought and benefit could be for stealth killers. If a stealth killer rolls up and hides around something, they could eavesdrop on the survs making the discussion about what they should potentially do. That information could then be used to benefit the killer. Giving a whole different take on stealth killers. This could also help nerf 2-3 man SWfs because if they want the solo Q surv to work optimally they need to find the solo Q and tell them what's going on, providing the stated benefits mentioned above to the killers. However it would not be a simple nerf for SWFs, it would just close the gap between the advantages of SWFs and solo Q making it easier to balance than keeping the same system we have.

    This is just a rough idea. I would appreciate any input on this. I know proximity chat has been a point of contention for a while with the toxicity of the game however, I do believe this would provide an all around benefit to everyone including the devs. As in any online multiplayer game the proximity chat would need a mute button for in game chat for the ones that want to be toxic and a report button for those being over the top with their toxicity. I think however if we can close the gap between these two points on survivor and bring them roughly to the same level, then we can balance the game better than ever before.

    I like this idea, but am scared about what would happen if you play with strangers - you see how the community is on here and in game. There are wonderful people, but you also get less than wonderful people that would abuse the whole proximity chat feature to be offensive or rude, especially if it's strangers together in a match. For that reason, I don't think any in game comm system would work. They could maybe finally give us more gestures for survs to help us out, or have a hotkey-shortlist of a couple of game related things to let your teammates know:

    For instance: pressing 1 and 2 would be the gestures as we have them now. Pressing 3 could bring up a text on the screen to say "the killer is camping", pressing 4 could be "let's finish this gen" or something like that.

    The other possible solution, and what I think really needs to happen sometime is: make Kindred base-kit for solo survivors, so they don't need to lose a perk slot for it that SWF doesn't have to lose and maybe give them a higher percentage chance of unhooking themselves if necessary - as a lot of SWF's sacrifice a solo surv queueing with them on hook if it benefits them. Something along the lines of that.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/261139/potential-balance-idea-for-swf-solo-q-and-killers

    Honostly. Perks already exist to make solo ques just as effecient. Kindred never leaves my load out. Along with Detectives Hunch. The thing that people don't like to admit is...Solo que is a gamble and you get who you get

    The DEVS can literally add anything that you want in game. And it won't make people do gens any better. It won't make people stop doing stupid #########

    The thing is, if you solo queue, you have to use perks like Kindred as one of your 4 perk slots, where SWF with comms doesn't have to, so they get to use 4 perks with comms being their 5th perk, so that's what makes solo queue more difficult. As solo if you want info, you have to use so many of your perk slots, whereas SWF doesn't have to use any. Not even to mention, if I solo queue with a 3-man SWF, I'm probably gonna get sacrificed as the "random", they aren't as motivated to come in for rescues, they'd prioritize objectives and their friends over me if given a choice (of course, there are exceptions, but it happens a lot of the time when I play solo surv...that's why I rarely do anymore and wait until my friends can play to play surv).

    Side note, I feel like good solo survivors are super skilled because they have to be, it's like they are stronger because they can only depend on themselves a lot of the time (it doesn't mean they play selfishly, they'd go in for rescues/heals when they can). What I mean is: A rank 8 solo survivor (who mostly plays solo) feels way stronger and skilled as a survivor who reached rank 8 playing SWF. I mostly play SWF now and when I solo queue I feel like a potato lol

    Greetings DbD players, it's time for a new question!

    If I see a Hag in my game, I'd be like "It's Haggy". What about you? Do you have nicknames for your killers? Feel free to share.

    Me and my friends have a couple of names for some of the killers:

    Hag = Hagitha 🤣

    Nurse = Nursula (as in Ursula with an n in front of it)

    Hillbilly = Billy

    Plague = Vommy Mommy

    Victor = Smeagul / The Bebe

    Trapper = Le Trapper (usually in a French accent, dunno why lol)

    Freddy = Frederick

    Pig/Amanda = Piggy

    Demogorgon = Demo

    For survivors, we sometimes joke around whenever a surv queues up in the lobby with us/we play as a specific surv:

    Meg = Megan / Megara

    Dwight = Dwighty-poo

    Jake = Parkman

    Nea = we just pronounce Nea weird the whole time, we pronounce it differently than the way everybody else does, we don't pronounce it as "Nee-a", we pronounce it as "Ney-a" for some reason, think I started pronouncing it that way by accident and the rest followed suit (although they got me into the game, although I knew about it from the launch from Youtubers playing it together - my friends played the game a bit before me and then I joined them).

    Claudette = Claudetty / De-tjie (in Afrikaans, so a lot may not understand that one)

    Bill = Billiam

    David = We pronounce it like Moira pronounces David in Schitt's Creek, just because we find it funny

    Tapp = Tepp

    Jeff = My friend always makes the "my name is Jeff" joke

    Yui - Yoohooooi

    Steve = Schteve / Stephen

    Zarina = Used to call her Jasmine cause the one cosmetic looks a lot like Princess Jasmine's outfit from Aladdin

    We also have a couple of things we say when we see on which map we load into:

    The Game = "You wanna play a game?" / "Let's play a game, shall we?"

    Dead dawg saloon = The Wild West

    Macmillan = Mackie-millan

    Backwater swamp = "Get outta my swamp" (reference from Shrek)

    Lerys Memorial = Leryyyys (again in a French accent...apparently we think we can speak French a lot of the time🤣)

    Haddonfield = "Ughhhh, okay, here we go guys" 🤣

    We also have a nickname for Coldwind Farm, but it might upset some people, so not gonna repeat it here. Some may find it in poor taste.

    My one friend played against Nem for the first time last night and called the zombies zoomer boomers (they took a particular liking to him, they only seemed to target him 😂)

    For now I'm a Wraith main (I haven't moved on to someone else yet, he's the first killer I've enjoyed playing - I really enjoyed playing Trapper in the tutorial though, haven't tried it live yet, because his setup at the start of the game takes so long/costs him a lot, so it's riskier than Wraith) and I main(ly) main Meg, but sometimes Jane and Kate too.

    Hello :)

    So this topic is again coming back on the forums and different streams. And last night i woke up with an idea that could actually reward players for prestiging more than just for a cosmetic, and that would also reduce the grind for perks.

    -----

    for Prestiging P1

    Receive 25% of the BP price of your items and offerings inventory

    You instantly get the unique perk of your character at Tier 3.

    For prestiging P2

    Receive 50% of the BP price of your items and offerings inventory

    You instantly unlock all perks at Tier 1.

    You'll have to grind Tier 2 and Tier 3 of the perks

    for prestiging P3

    Receive 75% of the BP price of your items and offerings inventory

    You instantly unlock all perks at Tier 2.

    You will only have to grind the Tier 3 of the perks

    -----

    This way you still lose your items and offerings, but you still get a small portion of the BP back and it make prestiging less grindy + Having a P3 character make it easier to access the new perks when a new DLC drops and allows you to play with them very quickly.

    -----

    Let me know what you think so we can discuss !

    See you in the Fog <3

    Love this idea!

    Rules would be like this:

    Survivor:

    • You pick your survivor (they are just skins afterall)
    • All 4 perks are randomized
    • No items or Offerings carried into the trial
    • You can play Solo or SWF as in normal DBD

    Killer:

    • You don't pick your killer. You won't know what killer you're playing until you start the trial. (Killers will, however, only be selected from among killers you own)
    • All 4 perks are randomized
    • You also get 2 Random Add-ons

    Would you play a mode like that? What about if it were Double Bloodpoints?

    Would def enjoy this mode - it'd be a fun challenge from time to time and a nice way to potentially play using perks you would never use otherwise.

  • I'm currently Rank 9 Survivor after reset and here's a breakdown of killers I see often when I play:

    See them the most: Bubba, Hillbilly, Spirit, Huntress, Wraith (a bit less than the rest though...)

    See them sometimes, here and there: Nurse, legion, trapper, trickster, Doc, hag, blight, PH, Pig, Freddy, Plague

    Very rarely see them: Twins, oni, clown, deathslinger and demo. Used to see Myers more often but now him and Ghostface are also rare.

    I'll often see a killer more often as well when there's a killer specific challenge in the latest level of the latest Tome, but then after a while, when it enough time has passed and people seem to have completed said challenge before the new level of the current Tome opens, things are as laid out above.

I have been tunneled and camped, or slugged and died on the ground in literally every game

    I'm not looking for sympathy. I'm not here to shame a bunch of killer mains. Tonight just really made me want to quit DBD and I have to tell someone who plays this game and maybe understands.

    Same. Experienced the same this week so far. As this point I'd rather play the bot tutorials so that I can actually have a bit of fun - I have been meaning to learn Trapper so the "Kill the bots" tutorial is proving to be very fun for me at this stage.

    I keep getting tunneled simply for looping the killer. This rank reset is something else, i got face camped 8 times today by nemesis. And im rank 11. Let that sink in.

    SAME. Happened to me in the first 6 matches I played against Nemesis. Only had one Nemesis after that who actually played the game. Really sucks and made it not fun to play the game anymore - people are so desperate for kills and focused on getting them, instead of just calming down and taking time to figure out how to play Nem. And I'd like to add, all of the matches where I was tunneled and face camped, I did nothing that would upset the killer, I just played normally - didn't gen rush, didn't have a key or flashlight. It just sucked. But as people told me on my thread about this, we must try and be patient with them. I don't condone face camping and I still think even if you're a new killer, it never makes sense to face camp someone to death and it takes 0 skill, but clearly people feel they need to. When I play today and it starts happening again, I may try to get even and bring keys until the tunneling/face camping trend dies down (I usually never bring keys into matches) 🤣 if they can "play however they want" without any consideration for the fun of others, then we can too. Normally I would take the high road, but apparently now it's: don't get mad, get even 🤣

    The first look is good so far. It would be cool if they add all killers and survs in future plus perks. When you wanna try new killers and perks u can go learn the basics there.

    Yes, I agree - would be great if you can practice a new killer (other than trapper) against some bots before playing them online, or test out any perks - if people complain because they/we had to learn new killers/perks on the fly during online matches, then put a cap on the amount of bot matches that you can play with a killer to learn their abilities, like only 2 or 3 bot matches. It would help everyone struggling with Nemesis as well and that would mean they don't "have to" face camp survs out of the game because they are desperate for kills because they are struggling to learn a new killer (lol, I'm clearly still a bit salty about yesterday when it happened to me the whole time I played - I just don't understand face camping, takes 0 skill and you don't get any better at your killer by doing it, it just sucks for the survivor). So I believe that would help everyone :)

    I’m talking about ONE add on. ONE!

    I never said gut him, or revert any of his other changes. Perhaps re-read my post.

    I currently main Wraith (and I also play survivor, so I'm not JUST a killer main, for context) and I'm glad he got his buffs, but I think that your suggestion would be a fair trade-off - I rarely use all seeing when I play, just when I feel I really need it to help with a challenge or something, but that wouldn't be such a bad nerf to the add-on. I like it how it is currently, but I can see how survs don't and it would be a fair trade off to "make both sides happy" I think. Good suggestion!

    don't play the new tutorial for bloodpoints its glitched and will reset all your skins perks add ons offerings abd charms but if you are fine with this then go right on ahead and get some sweet bps

    Yep, happened to me too, so just had to spend some time customizing my survs and everything back to how they were. It's a minor inconvenience, but it's weird that the tutorial does that (like it uses your Meg, Claudette, Dwight and Jake for the tutorial and then resets them to factory settings, which already shouldn't really be the case, but then it also resets everyone else to factory settings? That's just stupid) and it would be nice to have it fixed, as it doesn't make sense that it should be that way.

    They were a new killer. They don't know any better. Just the fact that you even got CAUGHT by them is enough to question your own skill.

    I understand that, and as previously stated, I am still relatively new to the game myself with 500 hours, so I know I'm still just average at playing the game. I spawned in within viewing range of the killer and they immediately started chasing me (and I looped them for the duration of 2 gens), which I feel isn't that terrible - it's not the best, but it's certainly not the worst either.

  • @Kalinikta said:

    Complaining that a rank 17 on a brand new killer is not playing the way you want them to play while they are winning. You merely have 500 hours, that is more than me man and I am after rank reset 4 with killer tend to play between 1-3. All I have been facing are keys (literally 4/6 games had a key brought in), offerings and people slamming gens. People will try and play to win.

    That's fair. I personally never take keys in as survivor, if I happen to find one during the trial I may use it, but I won't go into a trial with one as I feel that's just an easy out as survivor, I don't think it's fair tbh - like how I feel face camping is just low and not strategic gameplay. I try to play "fair" as both surv and killer and not do the things that make it super un-fun for the other side because I play both sides and know what it's like, but yes, that's not how everybody is and they are allowed to play however they want to within the rules of the game, I get that, although it sucks. I just don't understand face camping and why people do it as I know how much it sucks for the surv and how stupid it is strategically as you lose gen pressure and gens and waste time and don't build up any skill on your killer be doing that. It's bad for the surv and bad for the killer, all you get is an easy kill, but that won't help you get any better.

    Came across a camping Nemesis on RPD before it got disabled and I asked him why he face camped when he were straight clueless on gen locations alone.

    I kid you not, his answer was:

    "Because I can."

    Ugh, I hate that.

    These are some of the sweatiest games I have ever played. We could have fun games on the dlc launch, but no, every killer is camping hooks because they don’t know how to play him. Total snooze fest after you’ve been hooked once. Terrible teammates every game too.

    Finally someone who gets it!

    I only tunnel Jills and yell STAaaaaRS while im doing it

    I’ve had no issues against playing against any killers tonight the nemesis players I’ve gone up against have also been very fair.

    Haha I'm glad you had a better night than me :) I really like this chapter and am excited for it, tonight was just rough. Or maybe just bad luck getting so many face campers in a row.

    Eh camping is so easy to counter though. Sucks for the one person but eh, sometimes you eat that shît sandwich, sometimes it's someone else.

    I can't say that I've never tunneled or camped cus I have. Granted ever out of spite though, except this one time this David item switched to a key at the very last second in the lobby. I happened to be playing Freddy who I run Franklin's with all the time, cus it's funny popping out of a gen and smacking a toolbox away from them. But yeah his ass I tunneled and tunneled hard until he and the other David who was dressed exactly like him (mostly cus I couldn't tell the difference >.<) were the first ones out of the game. And yes, I made sure that key was destroyed when I found him. Kept him slugged and camped out over both him and the key until the right time. So I mean everyone's guilty of doing these things for different reasons.

    But I mean I think it's ridiculous complaining about these things. Especially when 8/10 times survivors will accuse you of camping or tunneling anyway when you didn't. So I just stopped caring about survivor complaints since it just seems they'll cry no matter what I do. Or tell me to get Covid and die. That one's happened twice so far!

    Wow I can't believe someone told you to go get Covid and die - and have that happen twice already. That's really messed up. I get complaining is useless, I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this 'cause I haven't experienced this with any previous chapter releases since I've started playing about a year ago. Maybe it truly is because it's RE. It just sucks because it really made my night playing the game and un-fun one - at first I just brushed it off, but then it kept on happening and it just wasn't fun.

    And I just don't understand the "strategy" behind face camping, but that's apparently just me. Just doesn't make sense to me 'cause I don't see that as a good strategy when I play killer or as strategic at all for any killer. But everybody's different :)

  • @Bonquiqui414 said:

    It’s always posts like this when new killers come out like dang you got camped get over it

    This is the first time with a new killer release I've experienced this, been playing for about a year. Okay, so I just have to grin and bear it and not have the game be fun for me as well, as long as the killer has fun face camping me and others to death, that's cool. :/

  • @Hex_Ignored said:

    Tunneling and camping, if applied at the right time, can increase the killer's pressure exponentially, which is why you see it all the time in competitive play as it is a skillful tactic but many survivors are not ready to hear that...

    I get tunneling and camping are sometimes necessary - but face camping? You can't really tell me that's strategic, 'cause you literally waste time and lose gens by doing that, as well as BP. So I don't see why face camping is strategic. Just seems like someone desperate for kills at the expense of someone else's fun.

  • @Marik13 said:

    1) they were probably a brand new killer.

    2) camping and tunneling are all legit strategies that even the devs have defended. Literally no use crying about it.

    3) oh well, we all have bad matches. You say ggs and move on.

    True, we all have good and bad matches, I get that. I just don't get face camping someone to death. I understand tunneling (and proxy camping to an extent) are valid and sometimes necessary strategies, but face camping? You learn nothing by just standing there preventing anyone to unhook.

    Just wanted to know if this had happened to anyone a lot upon Chapter Release as well, because if this becomes a trend (face camping Nem killers), it's going to be horrible for survs.

    I play both surv and killer - just want to clarify, so I'm not anti-killer :) when I play killer I go hard, but I don't camp hooks unless someone is already close by and I saw them (thereby proxy camping while chasing) and I don't tunnel. But that's just my playstyle I guess, I at least try to give survs a fair shot. Face camping really sucks haha I don't care what the devs say. If every killer face camped, survs would probably stop playing the game out of frustration.

  • @urbanevasioncare said:

    Maybe because it’s a new killer and people are struggling to get kills? Lol

    Sure, that's what I thought as well - but that's no reason to make a match completely miserable for someone because you are still learning a new killer. So I guess this is my PSA lol - by face camping someone, you learn no skill, you don't get any practice - it just sucks for that survivor and the killer is still less skilled than they would've been if they had actually TRIED to play the killer.
