they are working on a skill based matchmaking (SBM aka MMR), but they only recently tested it for 24h on live servers.
currently the old rankbased matchmaking is active, which is known to not work properly.

Is it just unlucky that my matchmaking is that bad or is it a normal thing??? I'm confused and not a native english speaker so don't correct me thx😘

Just now, roughly a 5 minute match. SWF, Gen rushing, lit totem went down before I made one gen sweep. Like what the actual hell... How many years has this game been out with a key component being this janky at this stage? When I started I NEVER saw this kind of off balance crap but then again the community is dying out and tbh the devs haven't cared about quality updates in ages.
Oof yeah i just went through that too. The total of the 4 surv ranks should not be less than the killers rank

on the flip side morning/early afternoon killer is very easy as it’s solo q survivors at your rank and probably hours in the game. With survivor, if you rank up too quickly at night, you’re gonna feel a huge difference going up against the killer in your current rank.
I ranked up early on as survivor by playing at night and getting r20s with high rank teammates. When I switched to second shift and started playing lunchtime, there was so much I clearly needed to learn and had no business in red ranks at that time.
Psh must be nice. I run killer, i get 3 or 4 swf red rank try hards... I solo queue survivor i get 2 morons and a can of green beans
