I just cant stand the level of toxicity in this community anymore. I should not have to block messages from all people because I get too much hate mail. I should not be getting threats of being banned from PS4 network simply because I want to be nice every once and a while and let new players win so that they actually enjoy the game and want to engage in it further. I hate when I am the killer, people crouch rapidly to indicate a "teabag" meaning you're a trash killer, get off this game.
I really, really loved playing this game as Horror is one of my all time favorite genres but enough is enough. There's only so much abuse one can take. I'm sure I'll receive the same amount of hate in this post as I get in-game after I post it.
You guys have fun. I hope you continue to love this game as I once did. Peace be with you.
I hear you my guy. This community is one of the worst there is. I play the game because I like it. But it sure as hell isn't to make friends here. Some of the people you run unto are absolute pieces of crap. Go find another game where the community is more positive because there's something about a community where killing each other being the objective makes people garbage.

Well, like I said, if SWFs aren't such an issue, it wouldn't hurt to let everybody know they are going against SWF.
And if everybody is going to dodge SWF, then SWF is an issue that needs to be addressed.
Lol lobby dodging is due to killers feeling slighted if they dont 4K. That is what would come from this. That doesnt fix anything, it just adds to the toxicity of this community.

This was definitely at red ranks. But I guess I'll just continue to hate every tine I hear a chainsaw for the first time in a match. Thanks for the input

Both sides getting nerfs *head shacking*.
Also not every killer has the 71.2% kill rate. Some have more, but the most have less. Even the Legion has less under different cirumstances, if you have the stats read completely and not just fly over it for cherry-picking.
No, if he is 12/17 then MOST killers (I.e. 11/17) have a higher kill rate than that.
-
So a 71.2% kill rate at red ranks is 12/17? How do killer mains continue to say the game is unbalanced? That means the top killer is likely above 75% or close to it. I understand the numbers get some inflation from weird things but damn. 1/4 chance to win as a survivor and yet we have all the advantages and the game skews towards us. 🤣
-
This thread has made my day 🤣
-
What's really funny to me is that everyone is complaining about "unbalanced" games. What are the Bloodpoint scores in that picture? Sure as hell looks balanced to me. Yeah the survivors ran annoying builds. And yes, the killer could be seen as having an annoying build also. Both sides of this coin are crying about the same thing.
I am a survivor main who plays a lot of swf with friends, and we do not bully killers. We lose a lot of games too because we are not the best at the game either. But at the end of the day, I've played well enough to be a red rank (4 currently) and if we lose a handful of games but its fun, is it really all that bad? I don't have to run off 20 wins in a row to have fun playing the game.
My point is that if people stopped complaining about "survivors this" and "killers that", the game would be a lot more fun. Seriously, it seems like the entire community feels like the devs owe them something. They already built a game that you clearly like enough to be on the forums for. Why don't we all stop being so entitled and just play?
Because from my vantage point the game is pretty balanced.

"So a teammate survivor showing the killer in what locker you are hiding"
That is not what he said happened.
"is now a misplay of yourself"
And that is not what I was calling a misplay.
Did you read his post? The other survivor jumped out and pointed. That's how the other survivor is even involved in this situation. How did you get so involved in white knighting the killer in this post and not even read it?
-
@Blueberry said:
Just so you know, the devs have stated that admitting on the forums to doing bannable offenses can get you banned. Idk how strict that is in regards to DC'ing but it's been said.
Also, that is no reason to DC. You made misplays and could have even run DS to counter that.
Lol yeah, that sure is no reason to DC. 🤣 I would have DC'd in that setting too. Survivors using the pointing mechanic to out other survivors is more annoying than anything the killer can do short of going along with it.

I respect that too you know. But with campers well the second to last survivor should just keep struggling till that last unfortunate tries to rescue you to and get insta downed or just signal you that he got the hatch while you have a staring contest with the killer
Yeah, it just really frustrates me. I play about 75/25 survivor/killer. I have been up to a 3 as survivor abd as low as a 9 on killer. I've never had to camp or tunnel to win. There are times where the guy who gets unhooked is the only guy I can see and catch, but if I ever have the option, I go for the unhooker. I have ran into jerk survivors too so I understand the anger there, so I don't play that way either. I understand the "legit strategy" that people keep saying, what I am saying is can BHVR please look at options to make this not a strategy worthwhile? And if that means some killer buffs to offset it, then so be it. I'd rather play a genuinely strong killer that 4k's me and have fun, than be mad I got targeted and 3 other teammates escaped.

I must live in a weird bubble... I don't see many campers. Every once in a while sure, but not with the frequency people seem to find them.
What rank are you at?
Against freddy, wake up first, then go for the save.
In general, do gens to pressure the killer to leave.
I am a level 6. So not pushing red yet, but close. I guess just sacrificing people 1 by 1 is an option, but it makes the game really not fun. I just played a huntress who didn't camp and she 4k'd us. I haven't been happier playing all day.

She puts a triangle made out of mud on the ground, lol.
But its a rune, not just a triangle. That she can then teleport to.

S for Smart:
Doctor: An actual neuroscientist, probably the smartest person in the Entity's realm. Although his brain might possibly be fried, you can't deny his medical knowledge.
Ghostface: An extremely deadly serial killer. Before being taken into the Entity's realm, he was able to kill dozens of people in both Roseville and Philadelphia. It takes some serious planning and strategy to pull this off, not to mention he managed to fool everyone he met, and was never caught or arrested.
Pig: After becoming John Kramer's apprentice, Amanda was seen to have designed dozens of mechanically complex traps. Granted, these were inescapable, but still, it takes some smarts to design stuff as complex as this.
A for Above Average Intelligence:
Clown: Another serial killer who managed to kill without being noticed for the most part. Although he was eventually caught, he also dabbled in chemical mixing, resulting in The Afterpiece Tonic, showing he has some knowledge in chemistry.
Nurse: She became a nurse, meaning she has to have at least some medical knowledge. Granted, I don't think Crotus Prenn was really picky about who they hired, so this might not be true.
Spirit: A prodigious college student who managed to get accepted into a difficult to get into college. Unfortunately her father had a bad day at work.
B for Basic Intelligence:
Freddy: A simple groundskeeper. Although he was able to get away with a few murders/kid diddlings, he was caught much faster than Clown was.
Micheal: Able to fake his death multiple times and figure out how to drive a car by himself. Also good at murdering babysitters/horny teens.
Legion: A group of teens. They were said to be delinquents, meaning they might not be the smartest in their classes.
Trapper: Shown to know how to work Bear Traps and managed his father's mine. The epitome of average.
Wraith: Wraith came from presumably a third world country, meaning he might not have the highest education. He knew how to work the crusher, but that was about it. Still a sad boi.
C for Close to Dumb
Oni: Killed farmers because he though it would preserve the samurai spirit. Goes into fits of blind rage over name calling, and kills because he thinks he doing the right thing, when it isn't hard to see that it isn't the right thing.
Plague: A really religious killer. Granted, she is from Babylon, so education wasn't the best back then. She still knows her way around the world.
Hag: From a small village, Hag might not be the smartest or have a good education. Considering she is also a cannibal now, this doesn't help her cause either.
D for Dumb
Huntress: No human contact ever. Basically has the mind of a 5 year old. Only smart when it comes to the forest.
Leatherface: Clearly some form of mental disability. Knows nothing other than to provide for his family. SImilarly to Huntress, Bubba has the mind of a child.
Hillbilly: Trapped in a small room for most of his life, he was basically broken. With no chance to learn, Hillbilly is basically a ball of rage with a chainsaw.
Demogorgon: Demo isn't even human. It's a wild animal. It only knows how to hunt, kill, and eat. Granted, it is really good at what it does, it still has no human brain/intelligence. Still the goodest of bois.
Edit: Added Oni.
I think this is pretty spot on, but doesn't the Hag have some sort of knowledge that allows her to place runes? That takes at least sone form of intelligence, right?

And yet oddly enough the very forums we are currently communicating on have all kinds of rules on what kind of behavior is allowed. Why do you suppose that is? Allow me to answer my own question. Because rules for communication are required for civil discourse to exist. Insults and swear words offer no benefit to anyone and only lead to hate and anger.
While I understand what you're getting at, you're also not playing with the most civil audience. You play in a competitive mode, and in competition people tend to lash out. When it happens in sports its called passion. He's right, we need to stop being a society of snowflakes and get over ourselves
-
I couldnt agree with the OP more. People need to either be patient and wait, or shut the hell up when its not ready for the public and gets forced out. The people who complain the loudest are those who dont have any idea what goes into making a game. Patience is a virtue people..

No. The hatch sucks for the survivor also. It favors both equally. I don't claim to have all the answers of how end game would need to be completely reworked to to keep the hatch closed on the last survivor, but I do know I shouldn't win after I've lost.
It's quite comical that this entire thread is people disagreeing with you and yet you choose to pick a single comment and try to disagree with 1 person like there isnt a group agreeing that the hatch is fine.
As a survivor main and probably main by like 95%, it's already so hard to compete with a killer 1v1. I would not have any fun if I knew that when it got to that point I had no chance. The door closes on me probably close to 75% of the time anyway.
-
Punishing survivors for getting rid of a hex? That seems off. It's alreadt setting them back by having to go find the totem and cleanse it. And if the killer is around it, it can completely derail a team. I know that has happened to me especially vs the hag
-
If this is considered toxic what would you prefer I do as a survivor main? I dont taunt killers, but a lot of that seems like its the game? If I cant run fron a killer or work on generators, why am I playing the game?
