No, you won't be banned in that case. Only the person who has cheated will be the one to get in trouble, but not you.

    Thanks. Good to know.

  • I know I'm late to the party by a few years but they are adding new graphics instead of balancing the maps or adding colorblind options. I'm not colorblind but I want everyone to have a good experience on Dead by Daylight.

  • If, if. If the rework does not remove cosmetics from inventory, then would it be bannable? I'm wearing Twitchy Meg because I want to become a streamer (never thought i'd ever say that) so if that happens, would my account be terminated then?

I just want to know because in quarantine DBD is the best thing I can find to pass the time, and losing that now would be huge.

  • Would it be bannable if you wore these cosmetics in match? I mean, I get that it's a bug but I've seen many people wear the Twitchy outfits.

  • Yeah. It's really up to your opinion when it comes to prestiging. On any survivor I don't play often I get a cosmetic for them with the P3 Face. If it's Feng, I'll get an outfit for her and for killer I'll get the p1 weapon. I just like maxing characters out but it shouldnt be slow. Well not as slow as it is.

  • The thing that personally disgusts me is that events, were claimed, to be one of the best times of the year in DBD. And I only got this game in March, but I enjoyed the anniversary event but I thought it was too easy to get the crown on the character you main then it's over. I was looking forward to the Halloween event but it's not great. At all. I'll divide this to three segments

    1- Cosemetics

They completely removed the aspect of the Serum, WHICH I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO, for the outifts. I play Feng Min // Plague and since I didn't play the game last year, I missed out on Plague's cosmetic but I was stoked when I heard Feng was getting something. The outfit isn't even that good. The headpiece is almost as bad as the uncommon green ponytail for her that was in the rift. They then kind of, not well, made up for the horrible outfit by making it 9,000 iridescent shards per outfit. I do feel bad for the people who spent 1080 AC or 21,600 IS then to realize that it's so, so much cheaper but here is what gets me mad.

Last month, or a month before that I asked my friend who to get next. I told them what killers I didn't have and they said that I should get the Doctor. I think I temporarily "veto'd" that because I bought Yui, then Legion with IS. If something could be bought with IS, I'd gladly grind for that then to pay AC. I was thinking that maybe I could not only get Feng's outfit with the serum, but get Doctor.

Then serum vanished from existence so I have to use my hard earned IS for the discounted outfit, because sooner or later I will save up for that. But they kind of, kind of, made up for that issue with the login rewards.

    2-Event Items

Can I just say that I approximately at this point put 1.6M BP into Feng Min, and so far I only have 25 Pustula Petals, 31 Serum for Medkit, 23 Broken Bulbs, and 11 Lunchboxes and 13 Will o wisps. I like to collect. For the anniversary I saved up 100 event cakes to be hung proudly with my offerings, never have ever using one before. This happened with the anniversary update too where I don't find too many items in the bloodweb, but it's simply annoying because I want to save up BP for the Doctor that I don't yet have.

3- Dwightcrow / "no exclusives" -BHVR

    Whoever thought of the limited uses should have their position rethought. I know that they'll take this comment down but so be it. They are trying a little too hard to promote their fog whisperer's in a dog eat dog competition to get a decent looking charm. When I saw the post on the News channel in game, I looked at the image and without any information I concluded Dwightcrow visually looked the best. And here are two aspects to think of;

-Play the game for the majority of the day: miss out on the codes

-Lurk in the redeem code section in hopes of finding a code and maybe, just maybe, get a code.

This event just sucks. It's not too fun to play anymore. I wish regular DBD would come back at this point.

  • The fact that the devs care so much about updating graphics and not dealing with what needs to be addressed is beyond stupid. For the last day it feels like I've gotten arthritis from mashing space key, it runs in the family so it wouldn't surprise me if I got it, but I'd really like the mechanic more if they could make it like the Cage of Atonement where we are faced with skill checks, however they won't get smaller. They'll look like Old Ruin but apply no regression, for those of you who want your 'immersion'. Either that or just don't do anything during struggle.

  • @Bwsted said:

Bhvr: "We see Dead by Daylight as an inclusive game and we’re always looking to improve the way we reflect those values in our game."

Also Bhvr: here guys, here's this super exclusive code-locked limited charm that you have to fight thousands of other stream viewers in typing race in order to get. We always keep your fun in mind!

Couldn't agree more. Behaviour is on a pretty bad streak at the moment if you think about it. Hitboxes that were fixed in april when vaulting returned, PS4 is really crappy at the moment and this code! Amazing month!

  • I honestly don't know why and I don't like the thought of this; this might be the new legacy, in a way. Only %00.1 of the community would have it and BHVR would have no excuse, like with legacy to say 'It was truly something that rewarded players for their work' or 'Only sign of 2016 beta players who put a lot of time into the game'

So eventually I'm guessing it should be free.

If not, BHVR is just slacking lately

  • I wrote a seperate post on the Dwightcrow, and how unfair it was, and BHVR had the audacity to delete the post.

    Applause

  • The entire Halloween event is really underwhelming. Especially for me since this is my first Halloween event. But I am mainly really puzzled with the Dwightcrow charm.

Dwightcrow, well, is how it sounds. It's a charm as Dwight as a scarecrow. Out of all of the charms, I personally think that the Dwightcrow charm visually looks the best. I mean, I don't imagine too many people saying the Candy-Perk Bucket is theirs. I mean, really BHVR? Way to kick off the event!!

When writing the complaint, I by no means am sending any shade to any Fog Whisperers, I think it's more directed towards the devs. King posted something on twitter mentioning that the Fog Whisperers are given what their given and that there are only 10, yes only TEN redemptions for each code. Let me break this crap down:

There are x amount of codes, but I know it's a lot. They can only be redeemed by 10 accounts so there will only be # winners.

The codes will be found in twitch streams. I gotta be honest, I don't waste my time on twitch. YouTube is so much easier honestly. I'd rather watch a 30 minute YouTube video on something super boring then sticking around your average Twitch stream for 2+ hours.

The code is REALLY, REALLY long. So if you even miss one letter, you have no chance.

Keep in mind that 100-700 people are on a fog whisperer's twitch stream at a time, so only a very small few will get the promo and everyone else wouldn't be content.

Like I honestly don't get why that would be a good idea. If you want to give your Fog Whisperers some advertisement for them, then maybe just say 'And don't forget to check out some of our Fog Whisperers!' or another Into the Fog event, I gotta say that alone is better than the Halloween event.

Here are the best alternatives, BH "no more exclusives" VR,

1 - Just get rid of the whole aspect of limited use : make that code active for the next hour

2- Give all the Fog Whisperers active codes until November 4th and let all their supporters redeem it

3- Make other ways to find the codes

  • I honestly agree with you. It's really stupid that a charm is limited, especially during an event. BHVR be sleeping on this event ngl. The cankers and harvesting don't even work half the time so this event is really a let-down, considering it's my first halloween event.

My best advice for you if you still haven't got it yet is get in a 4 man swf on coms. You can try to find a group from one of the many discord groups out there.

Yeah I'm planning to ask my friends over the weekend. The thing that sucks is that not everybody has a group of swf, and 3, unlike 4 is actually manageable solo-queue

  • I had no idea of the exact numbers: I thought Bond was 28m and one more thing

How is the math equation my fault? lmao

    didn't even write it lol

  • @Emeal said:

Lol i got it my Second game, I used Dark Sense, Bond and Open Handed.

Its so easy when you know where people are.

Remind me what the aura range is with Open Handed and Bond?

And @Avilgus I highly doubt they test it

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I did this in like 2-3 matches lol, you'll get there! Maybe try a build with Prove Thyself, Bond, and Spine Chill so you can clump up on gens with people and then let them be the one to take the chase when the killer shows up.

    Yeah I'm running Dwight with

    Prove Thyself

    Spine Chill

    Resilience

Dark Sense (man I miss Stake Out)

However I do not have control over my teammates. A console player messed up one of my matches by completing two gens while I was being chased. I still believe that 4 gens is wayyyy too much.

  • @LapisInfernalis The reason why I use BL is because it's a better sprint burst imo, and it gets rid of the fatigue when dropping so it helps a ton in chase. I value it vastly over DH because 9/10 times it doesn't work. For me at least. Here's a little list for a pro and con of each exhaustion perk

    SB

+Might cause the killer to miss a shot and you gain distance

-You have to walk around the map, takes forever

-You spend the entire trial walking basically. You spawn, wait 2 minutes or so until the killer finds you, SB away, spend more time walking and it's just a rinse and repeat

    Lithe:

    +Good when your on a T + L tile

-Can't loop the same thing with it

-You'll still git hit through the window, nothing makes it so you could possibly dodge a hit, unlike SB or BL

    Dead Hard

+2/10 times one Dead Hard wins you the game. There are several games where having DH would have made the difference of me winning rather than being sacrificed

    -Exhausted on the ground

    -Killers expect it

    -It just isn't reliable

    Head On

+Good for the memes or even killer grasp escapes

-Takes 3 seconds to set up

-You NEED to FAST EXIT out, you have no idea how many times this has gotten me killed

-Killers can easily bait you into exiting, they land the hit, or even catch or grab

    BL

+Might cause the killer to miss a shot and you gain distance

    +Mutes grunts by 100%

    +Reduces stagger by 75%

-When dedicated servers gets the best out of you

-When the killer also has about 75% reduction to stagger

    -1/20 times does not activate

I choose BL because out of all of the perks, I find it more reliable and easier to use in chase. I have firm experience with each of these perks, having 1,080+ hours in the game and this is just my opinion. I personally do not like DH or SB but you do you. But I will say, you should probably run an exhaustion perk. They are the strongest group of survivor perks in the game.

It's not too map dependent, some maps are better than others, the Asylum, Haddonfield and Midwich are all good maps but I can find value out of it on Rotten Fields because of the tractor. I wrote this forum because out of all 35 maps of DBD, Shelter Woods is the only one that does not work with BL. I hope this helps.

  • Yes I'm aware that you shouldnt run to the middle of nowhere but hear me out;

8/10 hills are placed next to a decent tile, so I was referring that I would balanced landing towards that tile, but before I could even reach the pallet that is really, really close to the hill, he downs me.

120 gb is crazy low bud. You don't need a high end computer, just find a terabyte solid state drive that can fit. We got ours for like $140 or so. And modern games are big, if you want to play modern games you'll have to adapt with the new demands. Game sizes will only get bigger from here on.

BUT if they could do some memory optimization such as making it where you dont use storage space for DLCs until you actually buy them, that would be tight.

It can probably fit it, it's just that I would rather deal with it when the time comes. But something to keep in mind is that 40gb might not seem like a big number, however for how simple the game is, it's not worth the 40

i made that comparison because ark is about the only game i own that i would truly consider big(its nearly 200k MB) and it has similar stuttering.

but you are right in that ark is a open world game that can't adequately be compared to dbd so i went ahead i checked how similar game i own stacked up R6S: 88.9k MB, csgo:22k MB and i compared that to dbd on my computer to compare:40.2k MB. in terms of these round based competitive games is a little below the average. Dbd isnt over sized your computer space is just undersized

I agree with you that it is not oversized, however, that's currently. It'll be a lot bigger across the next year and I am fully aware that my disk space is extremely small. I will increase it once either 1) I need it or 2) Quarantine is over so I won't have to insert (or... whatever) memory myself, since I'm not that good when we get into technological terms. However I do agree with you with everything you just said, but it 100% is a bigger problem for me compared to other people, because of my poor storage.

Just for the record when I posted this my game was31.3 gigs. Now September same year 9 months later my game is 39.2 gigs

    That's strange. When I started playing DBD back in March of this year it was only 18 gb. I think you could've tried this;

    1. Clean disk for any unused files (should save a gig or two)
    2. Reinstall DBD
    3. Clear download cache

Now I think our storage is the same because I know for a fact mine is around 40 gb, but the fact that it was 31.3 gb earlier this year nine months ago surprises me.

    I hope this helps <3

  • @zoozoom6 I mean it in the way that at the rate the game is going, almost nobody (unless you just spent a lot of money) will be able to run the game sooner or later.

Also ark is a much more, how do I phrase this, bigger and has overall more content (as far as I know) and just more things to do. Whereas DBD. Oh DBD. A simple game that doesn't even perform well half the time

  • @OmegaXII Yeah. I cleaned up the files. I made mistake on my part, it's 40gb but still it's a lot for a simple game that half the time doesn't work.

I agree with you 100%. I personally think that the new graphics are lowering performance and taking up GB, at least on my computer. Yamaoka is hell. I miss old Sanctum ;(

  • @TreSen

It's alright, I get that my budget was low and its my problem. I just wanted inputs. I'm going to shine a light on more storage if I need it. I can run DBD, the only bad thing is that there are some latency on skill checks, but I've adapted to it.

  • @CaulDrohn

I appreciate you trying to help me : and as far as I know the computer is pretty new. I've been trying to look up ways how to upgrade, but I'm honestly a rank 20 when it comes to tech-y stuff. I checked again, cleaned up the disk and found it is now 40gb, which is apparently normal, and I have 45gb remaining. I personally doubt DBD will go over 85gb ever, but at the rate the game is going, idk.

As I've mentioned, I really don't like the new graphics, and that there should be a way to continue to play the game on the old graphics, but I don't think that's possible.

To everyone giving me advice, thank you <3

  • @Shenochek Not everyone has 1,000 for a gaming PC

  • same. I recently got a new computer and it's taking up 47GB.

**have faith with your customers behaviour**

  • Ooh nice. Thanks for the suggestion <3

I'm going to try to recreate this bug later tonight in a custom since I want to see how common it is.
