IIRC, his video was about map pressure and how the 5% movement difference isn't that huge when talking about getting from 1 end of the map to the other.

The main difference 110% makes is when it comes to playing around tiles.

Before I continue, just prefacing that if you and I were discussing this face to face, my tone would be respectful and genuinely curious:

But if traveling the entire length of the map only results in ~3 second difference, wouldn't that also mean that traveling around a tile results in a fraction of a difference between the two speeds?

  • Idk. I watched Scott Jund's video about differences between 110% and 115% killers, and it seems like movement speed (at least between these two numbers) makes almost no difference to gameplay other than feeling good. For that reason, I'd be fine if they buffed his speed, because it really just FEELS better, rather than actually improving him.

  • I totally get where OP is coming from. He's right, DbD isn't exactly a "scary" game after a while, and there are a lot of wild cosmetics. However, as someone who is rather disappointed in this killer's appearance/vibe not fitting in well with the game, I'd like to point out and say "you've got to understand what we mean, right?"

For example, by saying that flashy clothes and not being scary is a justification for the new killer, why not just license Spongebob and put a little blood spatter on him? I would argue that would feel out of place. Of course this is an extreme example, but what BHVR has done with this killer is lower the bar of what kind of scary killers you can include in the game. They will likely do it in the future. You can claim "slippery slope" fallacy all you want against me, which would make sense. But as @Mringasa pointed out, bringing in new markets makes money. Why not include a market of children?

  • I mean, if crossplay is causing this much suffering, the game just isn't worth it, right? I don't mean to sound like those in your last post that were like "uninstall", but you sound extraordinarily upset over something that's supposed to be fun. I mean, you have the brand new Xbox. Go explore some of the amazing graphics that it has to offer. Life's good. :)

  • Barbeque to get dem FAT bloodpoints!

  • Perhaps you can take the Dungeons and Dragons approach to Win/loss: if you had fun, it's a win!

Or, there's always the DbD approach: if you were able to make it so the other side didn't have any fun, it's a win. ;D

  • Red rank killer main here. I don't have an issue with how anyone in this match played, nor with how they chose their perks (although the survs kinda potatoed, and I do think some perks need some rebalancing on both sides).

However, the survs should uninstall. Not because they love meta perks, or because they play over-agressively: but because they DC'd. DCing isn't cool at all. Don't do it kids. Go find a less toxic habit like cigarettes or black tar heroine.

  • I'm a killer main myself, and I think it's important to point out that camping and tunneling are items in a tool kit. However, the tunneling that OP mentions is a bit further than what I'm talking about.

That kind of stuff that the Legion did isn't to my taste. Tunneling isn't even fun as a killer.

As for "ruining someone else's fun," I do think it's important for both sides to realize that it isn't your opponent's job to ensure that you have fun. That's your job. Sure, there are dick moves you can do, but you've got to be willing to take it back, which is really where I think this Legion didn't show class.

    TLDR: Quit disconnecting you babies.

  • I came on to report this, but seeing as it's already here, I'll just add some screenshots. I encountered it on Windows Store while cross-playing with a friend on Xbox. This is from my friend's POV. 1st pic shows the totem, 2nd is for a reference of where it is (as OP put it, near the shack).

  • I once made a post suggesting that the devs take 1 chapter as an "operation health" where they fix bugs and balance different aspects of the game. The general response of the community was: "They'll never do that. That's dumb we just want new killers." So... killers over bug fixes I guess...

  • What? You chased a survivor? You're definitely toxic.

  • @Sylorknag said:

    Long overdue.

Don't think it will happen though.

The devs seem too stubborn to acknowledge the game needs a lot more polishing and performance fixes than its current iteration. And people keep buying their overpriced skins every patch why would they stop pumping them out.

I disagree. I think the devs have been listening to the community quite well. You see evidence of this from the PTB changes, as well as plans to fix auras.

  • @Halun said:

I mean, I'm fine with everyone boycotting the game, but that's because I'm colorblind, can't see auras now, and BHVR doesn't give a damn.

I can't really get behind this "muh unbeatble killaz" stuff, but uhhhh sure, you do you.

Mr. Hulan, I just wanted to let you know that the devs DO care. They've gotten the feedback for colorblind issues with the new auras, and are working on a fix. The reason they don't immediately switch back is due to bug issues with the old aura system. It was certainly a huge oversight on their part, but they're working!

The Ebony mori was made to be a power-trip offering.

In the past the Ebony mori COULD KILL YOU WITHOUT HOOKING YOU FIRST.

The Ebony mori was made so killers could feel powerful not for the kill animation the only mori whose conditions haven't changed is the cypress because it has always been solely a "Glory Kill" offering.

I mean... it's no fun for survivors. It's the same if they bring a key. It just ends the game too early.

Adding the hooked twice(aka on death hook) makes mories useless.

Also even with the death hook condition cypress mori(Aka the useless one) inherently has sense the last survivor is auto death hook.

Yeah... the point is to nerf them really hard, but still keep our cool death animations. :)

  • @teamdehn said:

I think adding the twice hooked would make it more balanced. would you not put any hook requirements for the last survivor for the cypress? people are going to complain about moving the ebony but your logic is good.

I think that the cypress is in a pretty good spot right now. Usually people don't bring them because they're so weak, and to make it weaker would probably be a bit too much I think. Now if only someone could find a good way to nerf keys! XD
