  • I possibly can't fathom the issue here?

The Killer spawning in closer proximity to Survivors has sort of always been a thing, and given how most maps are designed, this seems like an issue you simply can't really avoid unless you introduce specific game mechanics that will forbid the Killer and Survivors to meet very early on.

I understand the frustration of spawning in, walking 5 meters and immediately have the Terror Radius pierce your ear drums, though you have to understand that most players are just lucky when it comes to that.

I often just walk straight for the furthest generators from me when I spawn as Killer and usually end up finding Survivors there because of how the algorithm works which, again, you can hardly avoid unless you fundamentally make adjustments to the game mechanics.

  • I think to myself, what's worst isn't as simply put as to say "4 Claudettes" ..

To me, it'd be the fascinating RNG that is tile spawns which more often than not screws over most Killers that don't have an ability to overcome obstacles as easy as, say, a Nurse, Oni, Legion, Spirit or the like.

If you get a Coldwind Farm that has a Killer Shack going into a trailer pallet loop off into a long wall jungle gym, then you can kiss yourself a chance of an easy win good bye if the Survivors are decent and map aware enough.

Ooooh and the confidence.. the abundance of attitude and false skill... sweetly topped off with brazen and cocky remarks.

  • Think the recent update introduced a bug with hooks, every time I get thrown on one, I die after the 2nd instance.

Don't think that's intended, please fix!

Well it was never intended in the first place.

As for skillwise i say curving with Billy is the real difference of skill from a normal billy to a billy main. Obviously you can't really curve as oni cause he aint effected by bumping objects. Also his flick isn't gone entirely. You can do a 90 turn but nowhere near the 180 he was able to do

    I don't think you've played him.

You can't do a 90° flick as the Devs said, I've tried it countless times by now and the flick they speak of is absolute garbage and shouldn't be in the game as it is.

Intended or not, sometimes things that weren't meant to exist turn out to be absolute blessings, this was one of them.

  • Holy ######### christ, this is horrible.

If THIS is what the Devs consider "a proper implemented" flick I'll literally try and get that DLC refunded.

Nah. I see the Q/E-turning as an exploit.

Weird, why was that never an issue with Hillbilly, I wonder? Oh right, because he isn't Oni who can run at walls without a penalty and still have the capability to flick you around a corner.

Seriously, that's not even an argument. Q/E turning has been around since the dawn of days and it was never an issue until now. Survivors just love to ######### and complain about everything that gives them a disadvantage, I never personally had issues with a Q/E Oni.

Allow Q/E back and give it a mild adjustment to how hard he can flick with it, or at least make the god damn mouse flick work.

  • Use the Demon Dash (M2 click), then press M1 after charging and try to flick.

That's not the flick. The flick happens after a dash.

How does that make sense or is good at all? I've just played a couple rounds with him and there is virtually no flick for me there, unless you consider that instant 180° thanos snap like an owl turning its head "the flick".. please Devs, don't do this to us.

  • I think you need to get your reading checked. Clearly the patch notes said D A S H, not the regular M1 flick.

However, yes, this is the exact same flick as it happens when using Demon Dash. Also, shout out to the dev that said "you can use your mouse to 90° flick omegabrain" - no, you can't.

If you consider the Oni being able to just mildly move his camera (5-10°) to the edge of your screen, then you either expect your players to break their wrist to achieve what you call "the flick" or it just doesn't work.

Either way, bring back what we had.

  • I think a good buff would still be giving him normal 4.6 movement speed like most tall killers (Trapper, Clown, Billy etc.) considering I just played a match and I only now realized how much that walkspeed can ######### you over, especially late/end game.

Yeah there seems to be a bug with the gen spawning system right now. I saw two gens right next to each other on the Game map once. Literally the only thing in between them was the wall. They were like less than a meter away from each other. Pretty sure they are going to fix it though.
Regarding the hit boxes, it's either a bug as well, obviously those hits shouldn't have connected, especially the Hillbilly hit, but it might also be caused by the online connection.

    Dedicated servers when?

  • @EntityDispleased said:
This bug is even worse on haddonfield where two gens spawn in the same house. But we really need to stop giving devs ######### all the time whenever we encounter the smallest of #########. Try posting this in the bug reports section and being constructive rather than posting it in here in a sarcastic tone.

Yes, the issue with the generators, I can put that up in the bug section, however, the hitbox issues regarding being hit when being nowhere near the attackers weapon is a well known, protracted problem. I think watching most of the "Funny DBD moment" videos gives enough proof to back up that things like those are truely #########.

Or just you know, get The Spirit and obliterate all if not most red rank lobbies like I do.

SWF can become quite problematic but with the right addons, you'll even destroy them.

Imo she is the second best killer in the game as shes hard to track for survivours and massively rewards good predictions. I wish there were more people playing her more aggresively instead of defensively as its a joy to be in a chase with a spirit  instead of playing the hook guessing game.

To be fair, I only play her aggressive. I don't give people chances. I phase chase people once they get hit, and down them. I run mostly overpowered perks on her, because why should I give less when survivors don't either? Decisive Strike and Borrowed Time get countered just by using the Bracelet to grab people off generators, or Yakuyoke/Wakizashi Mixture for a nice cocktail of easy kills and salt.

    She's perfect.

  • If you manage to get ahold of the bracelet addon (purple one) try to combine it with the Yakuyoke Amulet.

Then, march about and get close to generators, but not close enough that survivors can hear your heartbeat. Then go into phase shift, and go to said generator you chose to check if anybody repairs it.

Trust me when I say, it'll scare the crap out of survivors, and you secure yourself an easy free hook by grabbing somebody off a gen. I do this all the time, and it's hilarious.

  • Or just you know, get The Spirit and obliterate all if not most red rank lobbies like I do.

PTB copies your data from the point before the PTB has been started. From that point on both versions run different save files, i.e. if you buy stuff in the live version it wont carry over to PTB and the other way round. The PTB savefile will be deleted once ptb is over

So basically means, once I switch back or the PTB ends, my stuff is back, yeah? Just want to be sure as I wouldn't want to spent 30€ for nothing.
