The fact that we're even discussion whether or not the game should LET people get to this level is dumb as heck. If the player plays well enough, then they deserve it. The game doesn't dictate who wins or loses, just want they're given in terms of a map and such. The dude played well, go cry. We can talk about how powerful/balanced Blight it, but that's a separate discussion entirely. The same g54 comments 2,452 views last activity

Okay okay, not the "same" as in aesthetically. They should be different aesthetically. It keeps new and old maps interesting. But, I don't think we should have maps like Ormond or Red Forest that are utterly HUGE compared to others, or maps like The Game with crazy pallet counts. I think that if every map had the same size, pallet count, window count, breakable wall count, things would be eas15 comments 481 views last activity

...and more on making other playstyles legitimately better or more fun. If there's an issue I've seen with discussions about how to discourage camping and tunneling, its that they don't cover how leaving a hook or chasing a new target should be rewarded and encouraged, with more of an advantage given to the killer over the alternative which is camping and tunneling. I just played a match where a Knight had to camp a survivor to get one kill. My plan was to take the guard's attention and run away from the hook so that my other two teammates could get the save. I was injured, but I could totally outlast a guard and I hadn't been hooked yet. So the guard is placed directly at the hook, and I step in it's tracking path at the very edge and immediately start ru11 comments 151 views last activity

I think the most ridiculous take I've seen since this new round of update notes is basically that: "The devs are encouraging camping because of the DH nerf". This is simply "I can't tunnel easily anymore" disguised as "I'm forced to camp now". Obviously, there is a time and place for both camping and tunneling, but I hate seeing people isolate themselves into 2 playstyles. BHVR is attempting34 comments 691 views last activity

Okay, so I've played within the "middle ground" in terms of the voice comm debate for a while now. But honestly, I am really starting to slip to the "YES we need them" side. Firstly, it seems like with the new update, camping might become more and more easy and prominent (I reserve my own take because I have my reservations). Due to this, I think I've been pushed to one side (that was the lynch90 comments 1,282 views last activity

I'm seeing a lot of disagreement with BHVRs desicions when it comes to medkits right now, and while I want to see them in-action before I agree or disagree with the changes, there is something I think is kind of nice: The fact that BHVR has seemingly promoted altruism by having Medkits buff the speed in which you heal others (COH's change does this too). I feel like this may be a nice upside5 comments 61 views last activity

https://youtu.be/QHtEKrNE5CE This is EXTREMELY telling in regards to the community's perception on tunneling on BOTH sides. While Otz obviously isn't an "average" DBD player, I think he is still comparable enough to be an efficient look at the player base. Also, for further reading, Otz says he played around 60 games, with different killers, mostly using non-meta perks/addons. He also set97 comments 3,181 views last activity

Title ☝️ Basically my thought process is that if BHVR wants to avoid having a period of time where every team of survivors is comparable to an SWF, while killers are the same and being sh*tstomped more usually, they need to buff Solo-Q and Killers in tandem. When we got the UI buff that displays survivor actions, we should have got a killer buff as well. This would mean the gap between Solo39 comments 921 views last activity

I assume this is a DBD x Meet Your Maker crossover thingy, but did they ever announce this? I only started to find these today. I've only escaped with one and I got an "HRV Figurine". It's kinda cute! The weird red glowing thing was called a "Gemat"8 comments 1,132 views last activity

I just faced an Artist that brings Iron Grasp, Distressing, NOED, and Starstruck. She camps at 5 gens and only gets a 2K. She brings a build that requires her to move around... Doesn't move around or use the build because she thinks camping and tunneling is best.... Fails (at getting a 4k).... Who would have known? -_ 😶 _-7 comments 221 views last activity

Okay, so I have two ideas that could help discourage killers from tunneling, and actively make it worse for them to do so in regards to winning the match. 1.) Implement a MASSIVE bloodpoint deficiency if the killer is found downing and hooking the same survivor within 60 (this can change) seconds of them being rescued. If a killer tunnels a survivor, then the game should maybe take into account61 comments 931 views last activity

Obviously there are worse dev groups out there, but BHVR and their lack of an ability to realistically, consistently, and logically address community concerns has always driven me nuts. No, I do not think the devs should do whatever the playerbase says. Yes, it is there game and they have 100% freedom to do what they want. But, both of those do not change how they are so disconnected from the10 comments 671 views last activity

Okay, my idea is to bring back the old DH where you'd get distance, BUT, a killer would be able to hit you as you're dashing. I remember that was always the thing that peeved me off the most. A survivor could just turn to me a dash through my swing without being hurt. Of course a survivor would still get exhausted. Also, the distance would only be about 2/3 of what old dead hard actually gav26 comments 581 views last activity

Why haven't the devs reduced it? It's things like these that make the playbase hate them. Edit: I'm seeing a lot of survivor mains are here lmao.20 comments 2,221 views last activity

Okay, so something that I've been thinking of lately is the question of "what if all the A and S tier perks on both sides were nerfed to bring them down to a B or C tier?" I started thinking of this after I considered how there are so many perks in the game, and I usually only see about 20-30 perks in circulation when I play. On both sides. This got me thinking of how so many perks are so powerf38 comments 892 views last activity

The title says it all. I'm just curious to see if people disagree or agree. I won't state my own opinion. Not trying to spark conflict. I'm just very curious. Also I don't mean half as in 50%, I just mean a substantial portion.12 comments 291 views last activity

Okay so this is something I know the devs are aware of because it was brought up in a community feedback survey AGES ago, maybe a month or two after the Trickster's release, but the Trickster's name doesn't match them as a character. I strictly remember the survey having a question along the lines of "Do you think the Trickster's name matches the killer?", and there's no way the community's over0 comments 41 views last activity

I'm just curious, are there any DBD-specific issues that are preventing voice comms from entering the game? I know the common thing people bring up is the heightened chance for toxicity, but that isn't a DBD specific issue, and its one that does have solutions such as muting. If you ask me, that's not a good reason to not give people the option to use voice comms. I'm not strictly an advocato15 comments 260 views last activity

I'm not trying to spam, but this is a slight repost of some of my suggestions over in the General Discussion area. I wanna pose some ideas for the knight. I'm not saying these should all be used, at least not at the same time, but maybe, MAYBE these will help with his unfun-ness to go against, and his anti-looping power. For more info and context, see my other post. 1.) The Knight cannot pla8 comments 71 views last activity

Okay, so we all know how Anti-Loop killers tend to be the most unfun to play against from experiences with the Artist, as now mainly The Knight, who I think is essentially just Artist 2.0 with a hint of Twins. So, I'm playing on Midwich against a Knight, and I get to a loop that is a relatively small one with one pallet. This loop could lead into a window (the one where a killer basically has t32 comments 712 views last activity

So I tried to play DBD today and for some reason, it always crashes before I get to the main menu. The farthest I've gotten is "connecting to RTM server", but it usually crashes right when the intro cutscene starts to play. I've seen that GeForce is being a problem lately so I made sure the in-game overlay was disabled, but nothing has changed. Any ideas or suggestions?1 comments 41 views last activity
