Lantern Changes Only one lucky survivor (the obsession) starts with a lantern. The rest must be found from chests. When a survivor enters the dying state holding a lantern, it shatters. Killers can destroy lanterns when they are set on the ground. Lanterns do not grant Windows of Opportunity, but merely grant extra visibility as they do now. Using the lantern also shows you the auras of y2 comments 141 views last activity

Just one aspect to change about 2v8. In this post I discuss the class system. The survivor side is okay I guess but I really dislike the killer classes. So many of the triggers are beyond anyone's control, and they are so complex that the haste effects may as well just be given at complete random. So when it comes to classes and "teamwork abilities" I suggest we keep these mechanics predictable2 comments 716 views last activity

Well folks, I'll give you a hint. It isn't the UI! Why does it matter if the killer get a notification (which I believe is delayed by two seconds regardless) once a survivor is unhooked? Either they know the unhook is happening, or they aren't really paying attention. And if you know what I'm talking about, then you know. What am I talking about? Proxy camping. That's the real problem here. The5 comments 82 views last activity

This is one of THE most frustrating, infuriating issues I keep dealing with constantly. It happens constantly, pretty much every game, multiple times per game even. Killer is chasing you, a window is your only salvation. You try to fast vault but only medium vault. The animation fully completes and you get some steps from the window. BLAM! Killer lunges and hits you five feet away from the windo2 comments 81 views last activity

All other complaints about Twins aside, why is it that Victor can camp the hook, and the anti-camp meter does not do anything? This needs to be fixed.3 comments 51 views last activity

I was attempting to do some of the tome challenges and thought 'Cool! I'll try out using the new keys!' So I opened a few chests using the key, and then to my dismay at the end of the trial, I hadn't gotten any progress on that tome challenge…. So. I was almost going to write a bug report, but I am pretty sure someone will just say "it's not a bug". Instead I'm making a suggestion to tweak the t0 comments 11 views last activity

I know there's some update coming out in the future, but if it came out yesterday, it is still horribly long overdue. 90% of games, someone is getting tunneled out or proxy camped. And probably around a third of these games, it's just a hard tunnel right off of hook. This is absolutely insane. These jerk killer players are KILLING THIS GAME. To everyone who says "tunneling is a valid strategy"12 comments 241 views last activity

I was thinking something like, "What if killers had a version of Mirrored Illusion?" And thus we have: Dreadful Illusion With a bit of magic, the depths of your cunning and terrorization know no bounds. After being in chase with a survivor for 60/55/50 seconds, this perk activates. Use the Active Ability Button to become undetectable for 4/5/6 seconds and send forth an illusory copy of yours1 comments 11 views last activity

Remember those days when flashlight blinds were practically instant? What if we could bring those back, but being blinded doesn't force the killer to drop a survivor? Instead, being blinded causes the killer to slow by 20% and increases attack cooldowns by 25%. This of course would stack with Champion of Light, or be improved by the perk in some way. Why do this? Flashlight saves are usually qu5 comments 231 views last activity

In a lot of places, chase can feel extremely buggy. Experienced survivors even know how to exploit these mechanics by breaking line of sight as much as possible and walking. However, it does not feel very fair playing as killer when you are clearly chasing someone with intent and following their scratch marks, yet the chase just refuses to start or ends prematurely. So I would suggest these chan0 comments 41 views last activity

Imagine you load into a trial to a totally different environment that you have not seen before. Waves from the ocean undulate and lap upon the sands. It almost seems like a familiar spot you might have taken a vacation to, but the environment is ominous and foggy. You appear to be in a cove, surrounded on three sides by steep cliff walls. Okay, so both RE killers have this mechanic where they afflict survivors with a status related to them, and then there are metal RE supply cases that either contain vaccines or first aid sprays. After having played extensively against both killers, a thought has been rolling around in my head: why is it that Nemesis only has 4 vaccines, with an addon that can remove one of those vaccines, and Wes1 comments 151 views last activity

Simplest and dumbest improvement, if nothing else changes: give the survivor a bonus blood point multiplier because the game has been made a lot harder for them and their team. But here is a better idea: When a survivor starts the game with No Mither, things look very normal. They are not injured or broken. The only benefits they have so far, when going down, is 15/20/25% increased recovery spe0 comments 21 views last activity

When Onryo kills a survivor at max condemn stacks, that survivor death should count for all three hook stages in the sacrifice emblem, hook states in the maliciousness emblem, and bonus points in the chase emblem. Edit: I think I need to elaborate on this a little. The Onryo's power, aside from teleporting around, is literally building up condemn stacks and then killing survivors with 7 stacks.0 comments 31 views last activity

Unlocks the stealth ability. After standing still for 4/3/2 seconds, you are granted the Undetectable status effect and 10% haste . This effect lasts for however much extra time you spend standing still, up to a maximum of 8/10/12 seconds. - - - - It still isn't a great perk for helping a killer develop consistent pressure, but at least it would be possible for killers to find better hiding8 comments 71 views last activity

The face camping is really boring. We should bring back the anti-camp meter even when all 5 gens are done and encourage more gameplay that is fun. But what else is the killer supposed to do? I'll tell you. Gate progress decays by 2% every second until the end game collapse starts. When end game collapse starts, and a survivor is not on a hook, the killer sees the auras of all survivors at14 comments 171 views last activity

Sure, nurse and billy and blight are all touted as the top meta killers, but they all have weaknesses. While nurse can literally warp through walls and other obstacles, she is otherwise extremely slow and doesn't have an instant down ability. Billy has instant down and can sprint across the map (if he doesn't run into obstacles) but actually landing that chainsaw is quite difficult. He has very l27 comments 1,535 views last activity

Once you get a character to p50 (and maybe some other cool requirement like completing certain tomes), another button appears under the bloodweb in the menus. See thread title. This will allow both killer and survivor to convert addons, offerings, and items from one rarity to another. But the fog is a fickle thing, as always, and there is randomness. Basically, you "sacrifice" a number of things2 comments 71 views last activity

Just had a random idea. Survivors have luck offerings, so why don't we have unluck offerings for killers? That could be interesting, dropping the base self-unhook chance to 3% or 2% or making all the items from chests crummy like Vecna chests. This is by no means an important suggestion, just thought it would be something interesting to add to the game. Another idea I had was an addon for a map2 comments 21 views last activity

Firstly, revert the cleansing slowdown speed because base 47 seconds is not healthy for the game. Second, I think the change was done in the first place because the blood point bonus was removed and the devs wanted to give something else to the perk. So here is my suggestion which I think is very appropriate for the theme: - - - - Hex: Thrill of the Hunt A Hex rooting its power on hope.0 comments 111 views last activity

Basically, right now Franklin's is like, "Hit survivor, they completely lose their item." It's very rare to actually have time to retrieve your item. If you go down that quickly after the first hit, it's bad for your team. And if you have a decent chase, by time you go down and get unhooked, your item is completely dead. The fact that Weave Attunement is getting a nerf is great, but Franklin's17 comments 232 views last activity

Overall, I think the event is pretty cool. But to quickly stay focused on the topic, I think the only thing that is problematic with the event is the ability to release a haunt and attack at the same time. As things are now, you just press Q and M1 at the same time (Q very slightly before) and if you are close enough to a healthy survivor, they get hit twice in the same split second and go down.0 comments 21 views last activity

I don't see many people using Dracula's wolf form very often. It seems really weak honestly, and the "better tracking" doesn't effectively get utilized. So how about this: wolf form actually moves slightly faster, as advertised, because it really does not look or feel faster at all. Pounce cooldown is greatly reduced, and getting a scent orb makes the ability ready instantly, all the time. Ins0 comments 12 views last activity

When a survivor gets sent to a cage, they scream, and they are put someplace across the map that is roughly predictable. This is quite problematic with billy players (rare as they are) who zoom across the map with an uncanny sense of where these cages are, and get more free, easy hits, or force the cages to teleport once again. It's honestly pretty ridiculous. There needs to be more variation t0 comments 11 views last activity

I haven't yet played killer (long queue times and survivors have +400% bonus) but here are some noticeable flaws I've seen with the game mode. The scout class seems to unfairly get the least points when actually doing their job. Medics get points for healing other survivors, Guides get points for gen repairs, Escapists get points for prolonged chases… but Scouts do not get points for revealing k6 comments 241 views last activity

Bugs aside, newly released content that is imbalanced aside… DbD has glaring balance issues - the same ones for years on end. We've slowly come a long way since the game's first inception, like fixing hatch standoffs and infinite loops, but there is still much work to be done, and the game mechanics allow others to make the game extremely unfun and unfair for others. Just a quick list of issues24 comments 791 views last activity

Step 1: play a public match as survivor vs singularity Step 2: get an EMP Step 3: start charging the EMP near a biopod Step 4: Immediately after a biopod shoots you and attaches a slipstream, release the EMP charge. The slipstream will NOT be removed. I don't know if there is some lag or built in timing issue, or if that "invulnerability" was flipped around the wrong way. But I know I've wait0 comments 31 views last activity

Seven days. Seven days is all Sadako Yamamura can spare to play with you. However, that is a little long for a dbd match, so let's try to cut that down to about seven minutes? This rework idea takes the Onryo's condemn mechanics in a radically different direction. The problems with current Onryo 3.0 are that her ability is too easy to counter. Survivors can see the auras of her TVs and easily11 comments 866 views last activity

We already do have an anti-tunnel system in place, which gives an unhooked survivor 10 seconds of endurance and haste, but frankly that isn't enough. If the killer still really wants you - for whatever reason - they will get you. The 10 seconds usually isn't enough to get anywhere even remotely safe, and experienced killers know to just wait out the timer anyway, often times even trying to body b0 comments 31 views last activity
