I don’t understand why BHVR would launch this feature in its current state. There is a grand total of 1 customisation option, that you can only get by purchasing paid cosmetics for a paid DLC character… BHVR announced this feature months ago and hyped it up on their Chucky livestream yesterday only for it to launch incredibly barebones. Am I the only one who really doesn't like the increased map odds from these events? Like the whole point of adding map repeat prevention was because people didn’t enjoy playing on the same maps over and over, but then the Community Choice Event comes around and it's just the same maps for a whole week. Introduction For those unaware (as I was until about an hour ago), BHVR are starting "regular Perk check-in[s]", in order to gather focused feedback on specific perks. They posted this on their YouTube channel, asking for feedback on Potential Energy, Coulrophobia, Deception, and Darkness Revealed. I think the idea of this is great! I've just played two Dredge games in a row. In both, about halfway into the match, all of the survivors started running in place, I was unable to move, and then the game ended with an error message popping up saying something along the lines of "Dedicated server not responding...". Really disappointed that another great cosmetic collection has been let down by unnecessary sets. This sentiment has been repeated on these forums so many times, and it's one of the few things that the DbD community can unanimously agree on -- so why is it still happening? Why are we still releasing sets that do not need to be sets in 2023? I'm getting tired of sounding like a broken record at this point. A lot of players have been vocal about this since sets were first added to the game. I, for one, give this same feedback in the player satisfaction surveys every time! The Problem I just played against the same Nurse three times in a row, and every single game she had on-and-off red ping. Nurse gets questionable hits at the best of times, but add bad ping into the mix and it's a recipe for an incredibly obnoxious match. It was three games of nonstop: Getting hit from miles away. Ever since 7.2.1 dropped, I haven't managed to get into a single lobby of DbD. I've tried matchmaking as killer, matchmaking as survivor, I've restarted the game, restarted my PC, checked my firewall settings etc. and I just cannot get into a lobby. The Problem Prior to 7.1.0, survivors had three score events associated with interacting with The Onryō's TVs: Playback (+300 in the Survival category) : Awarded for inserting a Cursed Tape into a TV. Tune Out (+100 in the Boldness category): Awarded for disabling a TV against The Onryō. Tape Transport (+5 in the Boldness category per 4 seconds): Awarded for carrying Cursed Tapes. Introduction As you can probably guess from my name, I'm an Onryō main and have played her consistently since her 2022 release. As a huge lover of the Ring franchise, Sadako Rising was a very special Chapter to me. While her power was underwhelming, I grew to love it and appreciate her niche in the game. Myself and many Onryō players out there wrote, at length, the issues with her rework that was showcased on the Nicolas Cage PTB. I -- as I'm sure a lot of others are -- am absolutely devastated to see that in today's Developer Update none of the major concerns about the rework have been addressed. The Issues As you can probably guess from my username, I main Onryō and have done pretty much since she released back in March 2022. I switched from playing mostly Nurse for around 5 years to Onryō due to being an avid Ring fan, and wanting a little more challenge out of playing killer.
