  I developed a system in which Totems could function properly and become much more viable. Once activated, Totems would initially have a weak effect on survivors. However, as time passes, the totems would become stronger. There would be a total of three levels, or tiers: Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3.   The Killer receives a mission at the start of the match that must be completed to earn an upgrade. The mission can be: Hook X number of Survivors. Down Survivors using your power. Once the mission is completed, the Killer can receive one of two upgrades: Unlock a fifth perk. Upgrade their power and unlock a third add-on.
