  The reason killers tunnel out survivors is because tunneling is the most effective tactic to win games. This is because there is a fundamental difference in team efficiency between three survivors and four survivors. If a killer has hooked a survivor and has started a chase or patrolling gens, the pressure they develop is substantially different vs 3 survivors than vs 4 survivors. Against four
