A random thought that occurred to me. Maybe getting tunneled out wouldn't feel so miserable if the game wasn't rubbing salt in the wound by giving you the lowest BP and lowering your MMR if you get tunneled out. If the game can recognize a tunnel situation then certainly it can also give bonus BP to whoever was getting tunneled and also give a neutral result to your MMR rather than a negative on2 comments 101 views last activity

They have been massively overbuffing or overnerfing the game so persistently and so long that I have to assume it's somewhat intentional. And I cannot rationalize them doing it outside of it being an in joke for the devs that we don't know.1 comments 51 views last activity

The point of the Guide class in 2v8 is to see the most important generators that need done and reveal their aura while working on them. This let's teammates help complete these gens or avoid them in chase. Or in theory that is how it works. In reality people see the gen as a means to get the killer to chase somebody else by intentionally bringing them to a survivor who has no chase power in 2v87 comments 231 views last activity

When I say "bad faith arguments" I mean the people who like making them know these arguments don't make sense to the most basic levels of scrutiny but yet seem to dominate discussions about DBD across social media. Particularly whenever topics of "tunneling" became the center point for everyone to give their opinions. Number 1: Any of the "get good" varieties. I feel like it's self explanatory4 comments 201 views last activity

If you've played any ranked symmetrical PvP game you've undoubtedly noticed problems with its matchmaking system. Whether that be players who lacked the skill for their ranking, or that player refuses to engage with ranked play seriously. If we use League of Legends as an example. We've all had the blind supremacist support because they oppose vision wards, the bot/mid carries who think being ou34 comments 731 views last activity

Across the internet in the discourse that is the PTB changes a common argument against the changes is that every killer except the top 5-10 will be unplayable as they cannot win games without forcing a 1v3. This is a confusing point because it's a 1v4 game. Being able to consistently force a 1v3 is inherently unbalanced and unhealthy for the game. If you aren't skilled at using your power or surv31 comments 771 views last activity

I finished getting P3 on every survivor except paid DLC and was working towards a P100 when I realized it probably made more sense to P3 the killers. And immediately realized just how often my teammates were cheating. Like yeah no wonder that Jane or Steve or Ace looped for 4 gens they had hacks on. Making me feel like a trash survivor in comparison. I'll play 1 game where the Lara is playing p5 comments 231 views last activity

If you're gonna have him zooming around the map at 500 miles per hour as his intended gameplay you may as well make it so he instantly kills any survivors he comes into contact with.29 comments 782 views last activity

Here are the changes. Buff, after using 1 blink charge, the second blink will lock onto a survivor for a guaranteed hit. Buff, hits with a blink apply deep wounds. Buff, movement speed increased to 115%. Buff, after injuring a survivor the nurse unlocks a 3rd blink for a duration. Buff, if a survivor vaults a window or pallet, using a blink on top of them will stun the survivor. Buff, signi6 comments 221 views last activity

To clarify. I'm do not believe these addons are overpowered. This isn't a "I just got mori'd and I'm mad" thread. Rather I feel like these addons prevent Myers from seeing meaningful changes to not be so weak. Sometimes in online games a weak mechanic or item or character will get removed or reworked because they clog up design space. They prevent something else from being buffed or added and th50 comments 1,311 views last activity

I saw a thread on Twitter engaging with this question and I feel like the answer is rather obvious, isn't it? The killer won. You lost. So get on with it. Yeah in theory you can drag out the match until somebody gets caught for the hatch standoff. But just being honest if you could play an entire new round in the time it would take for somebody to get caught hiding in a corner then it's better95 comments 2,593 views last activity

Nurse screams when she blinks. Demo screams (howls?) when he uses his portal. Dredge sounds like a car crash when it lands in a locker. Springtrap is almost silent as the door isn't audible over generator sounds. And even then if the killer TP's one door over there's no way of knowing until a ranged killer is already close enough to snipe you. Other stealth killers don't get ranged attacks or121 comments 3,015 views last activity

If you're playing solo queue as survivor and the killer you're up against decides they're gonna immediately tunnel out their first hook for the easiest win then there's nothing you can realistically do as that survivor to prevent this and get a win out of it. "Just run anti-tunnel perks." You can run the 4 objectively best anti-tunnel perks and you're still gonna go down and get sacrificed. Thes23 comments 391 views last activity

Sorry Jake mains but Sabos are in a weird spot right now and I don't see them coming back. Changes to the hook placement on maps makes sense to prevent dead zones. I too have been victimized by Midwich both as killer and survivor. And getting bled out because there's no hooks isn't a good experience. But now it's useless to sabotage without a coordinated team. Sabo 1 hook and there's always 2 o4 comments 111 views last activity

Half of DBD twitter is people crying about Haddie not having more cosmetics (the other half crying that they don't win every game of DBD) but I don't think I've ever seen a Haddie in game. Do Haddie mains actual play or did they make a career out of complaining on twitter?19 comments 511 views last activity

The map is the Yamaoka Estate with the large temple in the middle. The huntress has hooked somebody at the top of the temple and is currently chasing somebody at a far away loop. I unhook the survivor, heal them, and then step into a locker nearby to grab a couple bites of my food. Like 2 seconds before I entered the locker the other survivor was hooked, but I was far away enough from her that i2 comments 81 views last activity

Like you see this specific cosmetic on a survivor or killer and immediately know it's about to be a really bad game? For me it's the Pagliacci Clown outfit and the bunny Fengs. Every time I have seen the Pagliacci Clown outfit they immediately find the survivor who isn't good at looping clown and camp/tunnel them out. Then every hook after that is a camp/tunnel. I have seen clowns without this0 comments 31 views last activity

How often does this situation happen? There's two survivor's left with no hope of escape except the hatch. The killer finds and downs one and leaves them on the ground to go find the other. Now begins a 4 minute timer where the game state does not progress in any meaningful way. 1 survivor who cannot do anything, 1 survivor who will not do anything, and 1 killer who hopes to do anything. I adored the Lights Out game mode and played it non-stop when it came out and have eagerly awaited its return. But I do have to point out a flaw with the game mode and how it relates to the killers audio. Some killers are silent and make no sound like Ghostface or Myers. This is fine because they're designed to do that. Which was an advantage of playing a stealth killer. Others like Huntress are2 comments 41 views last activity

Anonymous mode does have legitimate uses but to be frank the majority of the time its just an excuse to be toxic. When I see my fellow survivors using the mode I immediately exit the lobby. That not people can't be rude while using their actual usernames. Rather the mode simply encourages the worst players in the game to be as awful as they want. Since they don't face any consequences for their a28 comments 591 views last activity

At time of writing I'm currently sitting around 250 hours of play time. To some of you I'm probably still a baby. I'm at a point where I feel comfortable with the game. I know maps at a glance, I can loop decently. I know all the killers and their powers. I'm familiar with the meta perks. And I will say with completely sincerity that the hassle it took to get this far and how awful most of this38 comments 1,053 views last activity

I was playing the game last night for a few rounds just fine. Nothing unusual about the games at all. I call it a night and close down the game, turn off my computer, and go to bed. Today I get back home from work. I turn on my computer and am greeted by steam with a 34 GB update for Dead by Daylight. Thats nearly the entire game. And steam is telling me that it's an "update."
