  • The swf "problem" exists for literally every game with mmr and is totally fine. Of course if you play with comms you will have more info and do better so your rating goes up. That's not really a big issue. There's no way to make it so swfs (in any game) will not have an advantage. Just make it so you care about the team instead of just self caring and hiding so maybe you escape. And that same problem already exists in current system. If you play with swf you will survive more so your rating goes up. Then if you play solo q you will survive less. So what's the issue?

They tried something similar in like, late 2016ish? SWFs abused it so it was scrapped. You cant punish someone for an intended mechanic.

So why are crows in the game? Isn't hiding an intended mechanic?

This is nice, but wouldn't actually change much of anything.

The person on hook is still forbidden to play the game and walks out with 3K BPs and a de-pip, the killer still gets a free kill, assuming the rest of team didn't try to save the first guy, in which case the killer will probably get at least 3k.

SWF would benefit from this for sure, but solo q wouldn't, not knowing if the guy on hook wants to be saved or if they're just stalling so the rest of them can get out. And that's without mentionning ppl who DC/ kill themselves on hook when they're camped (again a massive problem in solo q that doesn't affect SWF).

Also a bunch of killers would just stay right over the limit, which is not a problem for mobility killers who can basically camp from afar. And those who lack mobility (Hag, Huntress, Deathslinger) have means to protect the hook without being close to it.

Finally this could be abused by survivors. If one is hooked and one is being chased around the hook, the 2 others that are on gens could get the bonus when the killer isn't actually camping (well they technically are but for a good reason so they shouldn't get a negative effect)

Really letting people escape more from camping wouldn't help anything? Really? So if you are camping right now you get a 4k pretty easy, but if you got a 2k it wouldn't be any difference? 2k is the same as 4k? Wow you should be a game dev!

Probably because its still very easy to find the generators regardless.

The map is a small square, and the generators always spawn in the classrooms, hallways and occasionally the garden.

You can see hallway generators from a fair distance away, and it takes a second to duck into a classroom to see if there's a generator inside.

Well golly if all you have to do is look inside a room to see if a gen is there I guess none of the other indoor maps need gen lights either! Yeah it takes no time to run around and run inside a classroom I really would love to have you as a teammate where someone thinks that 15 seconds isn't a big deal ever.

This doesn’t really fix the issue. A bubba will still be able to get 1 kill without the survivors have any option to save them which is what we should be trying to fix

Literally exactly said in my first paragraph. How is the game worse? You are saying giving the killer less kills for camping doesn't help the issue?

  • I wouldn't even call it "buffing solo q". It's more like giving basic info that literally every other competitive multiplayer game gives. This game obviously started as a casual horror survival game, but has become more serious (they added mmr, they are worried about meta perks) so they need to treat it that way.

  • Matchmaking is not the issue. If you take 4 players and remove their comms and take the exact same 4 players and give them comms is there going to be a huge difference in their win rate? Of course there is. The issue is the game is balanced around no comms, but many people run comms. So now they think killers are weak, which they are vs a swf. But they are definitely not weak vs a solo q team.

  • The biggest problem in this game is the gap between swf and solo q and they really made it even worse. You will never see self care in a swf, you will never see spine chill in a swf. The self care change is the worst. Solo q players would be better off if they simply removed self care from the game.
