The description is really vague.. You have to go to the basement without losing it, and interact with another glyph there. After that you can safely drop it.

Just don’t bring anything in to the match you care about when attempting this challenge. Odds are, once you find the glyph and take the disk to the basement your add on won’t be where you left it once you return.

Just wanted to hear some opinions on this new post from the Dead By Daylight Facebook page

I would tend to think higher ranks would lean heavily in favor of killer. With more 3-4k happening frequently between green & brown ranks. In purple ranks you’ll see it balance more to 50/50 while red ranks, especially SWF, seem to be more 75/25 in favor of survivor.

when you first start playing, have few perks & little to no map understanding, there’s probably a 90% chance or better you won’t survive. You may have a more experienced friend that literally gets themselves killed trying to help you.

Once perks get better, map awareness & swf strategy come in to play your likelihood of survival increases to 25%. Regardless of player skill level. If you’re really good probably 75% of the time. However, since there are more green-brown players than red-purple, overall kill rate is going to always be higher. Especially across all platforms.

I play killer off and on, going between killer and survivor pretty often, and every time I play killer I get a merciless 4k, and I also show TONS of mercy in every match. I really don't understand why so many people find killer to be so difficult. Then again, I play on PS4, and about 95% of all survivors are complete potatoes. But still, even in matches where I get 4 man SWF, and they're all good at looping and hiding, I get a merciless 4k, while also showing mercy. Am I just the best player ever, or is killer really not that hard? I think the latter.

Pre ruin nerf? Maybe. Post? Hardly. I can spawn and move towards a generator and within 45 seconds a gen pops. Turn, head that direction. Chase, down, hook & 2nd gen pops. I’m not proficient with nurse who most consider the best killer. Can I get a 4k? Yes. However, most matches end with 2 dead & brutal killer since the ruin change. Survivor is much easier. I don’t consider myself a great player on either side but I can reach rank 2 as survivor. I’ve never been higher than a 5 as killer.

Well, I've actually never seen someone use that as an excuse 😅

But in all seriousness, sometimes you just know that there are more survivors around the hook, you don't need scratchmarks to tell you that directly, sometimes you have a gut feeling, sometimes you've seen/heard some grass movement, it's not as bad as people make it out to be, most of the time when someone stays around the hook, they have a reason.

Not saying idiots who camp just to annoy people don't exist, but they're a lot less common than most realise.

I agree. Especially if the killer is running bbqac. If he doesn’t see an aura ( especially if he isn’t cannibal or billy) he pretty much knows if you aren’t in a locker you are close by. I think most assume cannibal & billy run this religiously. It all depends on perk build and add ons.

the trouble is within the survivor main community, you can be 50 meters from the hook and they still consider it camping. Only if you run to the far corner of the map, kick a gen, wait for the unhook and full heal is it not camping. I’ve been accused of being a noob for killing 4 survivors too quickly. Told “that’s not how you play” and “we have to do the gens”. If 4 players with add ons, perks, offerings can’t manage to get 1 teammate out alive it isn’t the killers fault. It’s theirs.

Face camping is rare. Provided as a survivor you don’t play like an #########. I have never encountered it at red rank, rarely purple & seldom green. It’s more of a yellow brown thing. Of course I also play with respect. I don’t tea bag and I never DC.

My thoughts exactly. I'm assuming this is a killer main that said this?

Exactly. The lunge isn't executed until the player chooses. So while the survivor is pulling off a humanly impossible full speed duck w/360 the killer 360s as well, then performs the hit. It's balanced as it is.

If you want to prevent the reverse lunge then the survivor's ability to sprint into a duck then turn on a dime should be prevented as well.

Wanna really improve the game? Ban rage quitters after 10 discos for a week, 5 more a month, 7 more for good.

  • If the game had to be built from the ground up once more, with all the previous knowledge from the last installment, what would you do differently?

    For starters:

Looping is fine. If your the killer, stop chasing them.

Tunneling is fine. Oh, I just hurt this survivor. I don't want to trigger them by downing them. Let me go find a healthy one.

Face camping by the killer, unless all gens are complete, is not fine. Should be penalized by a 10% speed up to gen repair if the killer doesn't leave a 25 meter radius.

Hooked survivors should receive a penalty once off the hook. 1st time 5% on healing, gen repair, 2nd time 10% on healing, gen repair. Stacks with killer add ons and perks. Thus penalizing the "come hook me while my 3 teammates in chat find ruin" club.

No killer attack cool down while carrying a downed survivor within 5 meters of the hook. Wiggle slowed 2 seconds with successful hit, stacks with mad grit. Thus preventing the "lets take turns blocking the hook" SWF fest.

"Fight Back" perk for survivors. Initiated by survivor, cut scene animation, 3 skill checks. If survivor wins killer is stunned for 5 secs, if killer wins survivor is injured, suffers exhaustion with down timer.

Hatch fix. Hatch should only be available to one remaining survivor after two gens are done, 30 sec delay on opening. Hatch should then only be available once 5 gens are complete, 1 min delay before opening. Thus preventing the most popular form of camping ( survivor mains forget this).

Flashlight blinds: killer has 2 sec window to adjust view while carrying downed survivor, survivor wiggle delayed during window. Once killer is blind, drops survivor, vision is 100% restored with 2 sec stun.

Survivor add ons that reduce exhaustion by 25/50/75%

Killer add ons that reduce successful attack cool down 50/75/100%

Multi-killer/survivor mode with 3 killers, 12 survivors & segregated map. Once 2 hooks are completed by any killer 2nd area available to all, 4 hooks opens entire map. Still requires 15 gens completed, only 2 exit gates, no hatch. Killer invite party so killers can communicate and strategize.
