I personally think survivor game play is the trashiest and most boring that it ever has been since the start of the game. We have no good perks for the game that change the way we play. The only thing that changes the pace of the game is the killer that we face. If you look at the current perks, they are just a bunch of trash tier aura perks that only last a few seconds and truly do nothing to boost survival. Dead hard is the only true perk that has some fun left in to use, and it doesn't even work 80 percent of the time due to hit boxes and lag.
This last perk is one of the final perks that is constantly being cried about over and over again by the killer-mains which only goal in the game is to 4k for their power fantasy - so they can feel like they actually accomplished something. It's unfortunate that the devs have just completely destroyed survival gameplay over the last 2 years. Playing killer is no longer skill based, you'd have to be brain dead to not reliably 3k every single game. Not based on any type of skill, but just because most of the means of survival for survivors has been gutted and made trash. Also, the amount of aura reading perks that give your exact location to killer, have even been over buffed and are too plentiful. Tracking is no longer a thing in this game. You just hook someone and then look for Auras with BBQ and chili. I know, I know "I only use BBQ and Chili for the double points". Great! Then you should have no problem getting rid of the wall hacks.
The most egregious of everything that has happened to survivor gameplay over the last few years has been the edition of tank like movements. If you give me tank movement, you better give me a freaking gun. The devs nerfed the flow of movement tremendously a few patches ago and then just made it a little bit less terrible, but movement is still absolutely terrible in game.
I just wonder how much more the devs are willing to trash their game for 4k power fantasies. As of now, survivor gameplay is in the trash and any type of change of gameplay is completely reliant on the killer you are playing against.
As a red rank survivor main who is brand new to killer, this is utter bs. The game is inherently survivor sided (although admittedly not as severely as salty killer mains claim), and there are plenty of fun perks that work fine. Just because you're bored of meta perks doesn't mean you can't branch out. I made it to red rank without ever using ds consistently, and I don't even have other metas like unbreakable and dead hard on my main survivors. I did just fine using non meta perks, because I developed raw skill. If you're having this much of a hard time playing this game, maybe it's time to refresh your skills. Survivor is very simple, and although definitely not easy, there's not much to learn once you master the basics and experiment with every perk. Killer is heavily skill based, compared to survivor mostly being experience based. Sure, there are ways some lazy killers can shortcut through the game and exploit mechanics, use meta builds like survivors do, play scummy for no reason, but as long as they're not doing something banable, nobody can tell them they can't play how they want. Same for survivors. The learning curve for killer is massive, and experimenting with each different killer adds to that. Some killers are incredibly weak unless the player is very experienced and skilled with said killer (Blight, Billy, Nurse, etc. are good examples). It takes maybe a few days to master a new survivor perk, and months to master a killer. Huge difference.
As for boredom, maybe you're bored with survivor because you aren't experimenting enough with perks other than the meta. Try playing killer, specifically one that has a complicated ability. Try Blight perhaps. See how easy you have it. The whole 4k fantasy thing is the entire point of playing killer. Your job is to kill survivors, and you can choose to play sweaty, or not play sweaty, there's no issue here as long as the killer is a good sport. Nothing wrong with playing to win, or playing for fun. If a killer plays scummy, play scummy right back, or if u get tunneled into the ground let them have it in the chat and move on to the next match. It's that simple. Ppl need to stop shitting on killer mains just because they refuse to develop skill playing survivor.

Its not a kids game, you clearly don't know anything about the lore, the community makes it seem like a kids game, id like to see a 10-12 yr old play FNAF 4 and not have nightmares or anxiety, "its impossible!"
If you still think its a kids game watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrOf16MsWJk - The person doing the vid takes the piss a bit, but what he is saying is actually disturbing !
Fnaf is by definition a kid's game. It is rated 13+. And yes, children that young have played fnaf 4. As a former member of that community, I can say without a doubt that fnaf is not scary, and is absolutely directed at a younger audience. Not only would it bring literal children to a game intended for a strictly adult demographic, a fnaf character as a killer just wouldn't be good. It's not scary, it's not interesting, the lore is shallow, and a good 80% of the community are very much against it from what I've heard. The only people it will please are kids who are way too young to be playing dead by daylight who are fans of fnaf. If I remember correctly, you need to be 18 just to access dbd's website, much less the game - which is obviously extremely violent, and it would traumatize the little kids rushing to it because they wanted to play their favorite fnaf character.

The old movement felt better, the new movement feels worse. That's what it boils down to. Not many people cared if it looks "goofy", who the hell cares about that? It was fluid and felt good and the new animations felt terrible, that's all that matters. That matters more than how something looks. Usually the more "realistic" a game's movement is, the worse it feels to play (and almost every new big AAA game that comes out confirms my beliefs on this).
Korean back-dashing in Tekken, wavedashing in games like Melee and Marvel Vs Capcom, or bunny-hopping in FPS games look pretty stupid, but they feel nice to use and have their place in their respective games. Survivor movement in DbD has 360s and moonwalking which, while they're not nearly as integral to gameplay as the mechanics mentioned above, they're still a small part of what makes DbD feel fun to play for a lot of people.

I got to rank 1 survivor, then picked up killer and did every killer adept, even Nurse; but I do not play killer any longer solely because of survivors who 360. It's my kryptonite.
I have tried various interventions, such as predicting 360s, and learning to 360 as a survivor to give myself perspective, but I just cannot perfect a guaranteed solution to counter a survivor really good at 360'ing :/ other than getting lucky, or just purposely leaving that survivor for last.
That's an outright lie. You did not get every killer adept just to quit completely because of 360ing. And I highly doubt you're a rank 1 survivor either. I literally just started playing killer recently, on console, and even I can counter 360s. It's called being patient with your swing. It's not that difficult. From what I understand reading through this thread, no decent killers worry about 360ing. Stop lying to prove a point.
