The problem with a game so devoid of expression/emotes is that tbagging tends to be the go-to for everything. I personally understand that it is, more often than not, considered disrespectful to the killer but a LOT of newer players don't think of it that way 100% of the time.

I myself will tbag the killer in a non disrespectful way here and there- no idea if the killer gets it or not but I'd assume so considering the situations (accidentally and horribly sandbagging a teammate, standing at a second story window while they're looking at me from the ground, when I land on something a survivor doesn't usually land on [box, rock, etc]). I don't really feel like it's my problem if the killer takes it the wrong way if I'm trying to "meme" with them since I have very few other options to catch their attention otherwise (cause pointing DEFINITELY seems ruder in certain situations LOL).

Anyways, my point is just that tbagging isn't always malicious- certain situations it almost always is, other situations not so much, and then some people just don't understand yet what it means to a killer.

Yeah, I get that. i just got out of a match with a Ghostface where we all teabagged each other the whole match. Personally, it doesn't bother me in a way that it ruins my day or anything like that, because at the end of the day I main survivor... killer rounds don't mean a whole lot to me.. it just gives me an understanding as to why some killer mains go all try hard and start hating survivors.

Cuz ######### survivors won't leave and you have to wait in the corner for 4 minutes then?

Exactly!! If not, they wait there all of endgame collapse.

Just play Ghostface and follow my 3 step formula:

    1.T-bag back

2.They come closer because of your friendly gesture

    3.Kill them all

(This works about 40 percent of the time)

I was playing Ghostface in the last round of it but they literally do it at the barrier then run out immediately because they're scared shitless. The thing is that if I wanted to kill them all I would have done it and it just really annoyed me at the time. You give them more breaks than a hooker in court and they want to be smartasses afterwards. You'd think they just juked their way to victory.

This game makes me laugh a lot, usually I will squat down as saying goodbye or hello in funny games, but I don't mean it in teabagging way, and I've had ghost face and other killers do it back lol, I guess it depends on the type of killer/survivor you go against ya know.

I don't mean like the playful, friendly t-bag. I do that myself sometimes. I mean like the 'hahaha #########, you're not going to catch me.' t-bag. Idk you can just tell a difference. Just like you can tell a new survivor from a skilled survivor.

    “Your killer”

You make them sound like a purser.

“You’re designated killer today will be Trapper. Please also note the exits on your right and left. Have a safe trial.”

    🤣🤣🤣

That's totally why I left it like that... after I read it back to myself, that's what I heard going through my mind. What you just said. lmao.

  • I think he was red rank with a full loadout @Inji. @zoozoom6 @Clevite @tactic @GhostMaceNotCrusty @Momentosis @Kind_Lemon That all makes sense, thank you. @Kind_Lemon He was on console (or at least said he was), so if you play console then it could have possibly been you, since this happened yesterday or the day before. lol. Also, the terror was real ngl... but it was also a fun round. After 3 were dead he found me at the door and decided to let me live. If that sounds familiar then tyvm. XD OH, and he got Lery's just out of sheer luck. Couldn't have been more perfect for Myers.

is the active ability key the same as another action perhaps? i've never had it happen where i couldn't use it while sprinting, just that it fails to register when i do press it

No, active ability has it's own key. I get to use it maybe once per match and then it never gives me the option again. I'm not exhausted or anything, I made it a point to pay attention this last time. I've been downed so many times because of it. It's almost like it's a single use perk. It's weird. I was just wondering if anyone else has this happen.

  • @Hopesfall said:

you have to be sprinting + injured, but I've still had it where I'll use it and get downed immediately.. and it shows i'm exhausted whilst downed.. tick rate ;/

Well, yeah, I'll literally be injured and in chase and physically can't use it. It's not even an option.

Nothing to do with skill, as you can see.

Until I watched this video, I had no idea why people hated Blendettes so much. Now I understand. 1 gen left and she literally hides the whole time he's being chased.

  • I like the term 'inexperienced'. Although, others are right. It doesn't necessarily mean they're 'inexperienced', it just means they're ######### or insecure. I definitely wouldn't mori one group off first hook just because of something the last group did. The best thing to do in that situation (if a particular group are being little a-holes) is be one in return. There are plenty of ways to make the responsible survivors miserable.

True. Still, I remember the DC penalties being removed nearly a day after a Twitch streamer got banned for an absurd amount of time after a normal match, which he then contacted Behavior about the problem. I assumed that was the main reason.

There are reasons to DC, and sometimes people shouldn't be banned for a faulty connection.

But, my argument is that people shouldn't get mad when they know their connection is bad, and they get punished for leaving a game.

Bugs are another can of worms. That's completely understandable, because there is nothing left to do. It's not a reason to remove a penalty, I think it's more of a push to fix said bugs...whenever that happens.

Suicides at least gave killers points for their sacrifices, and allowed them to at least get a chance at having fun. With DCs, they only lose 10k BP's and the killer gets to lose a pip or two, maybe even going as far as to not even get 20k BPs at the end. Aside from BPs, it's just torture for a killer to go through a chase, win said chase, and get punished by the loser with a simple leave, and the survivor doesn't even get a slap on the wrist. Either side can get into scenarios, but killer DCs don't effect survivors as much as the other way around.

Point being, there needs to be something in place to prevent others from getting other's experiences down with leaving the match. Slap on the wrist, or a can of whoop-badword, something. Anything. People can just abuse the system as shown above as of right now, and there is nothing the player can do about such a thing, which will discourage them from even trying.

Obviously, not every player will do this, but there has to be something to at least slim down the numbers.

TLDR: While there are genuine reasons to DC, bugs should be fixed whenever possible, and faulty connections are a player's own fault. A penalty should be required for a ranked multiplayer game where one DC can ruin the experience for everyone.

Did it DC them all at once? I was thinking that if it did it could have been that just one of them had a bad connection and it ended up DC'ing all of them because they were in a party? But you are right, nobody should de-pip when there are DCs, period. You should at least safety pip.

  • Honestly I think the 'time out' does very little for trolls or people who just get upset because they got caught. I suggested they replace it with a tag or badge with their name that indicates if they have DC'd recently and how often they have done so. That way, people can choose whether or not they want to play with that person.

  • Okay, I have a more serious one (for survivor):

Once per trial - if you become exposed and you are hit, instead of being put into the dying state, the hit will instead apply the deep wounds status affect. You will have 10/15/20 seconds to mend or you will immediately be put into the dying state. If you are hit again you will immediately be put into the dying state. Causes the broken status effect for 60-90 seconds. Sort of like a borrowed time for the exposed status.

New idea for killer - I haven't really thought out major details but they would be called 'The Engineer' and the focus would be gen pressure. One of their add-on abilities would be that they could turn one generator on the map into a 'fake' generator and the survivors wouldn't know which one it is until after they complete it. Run that with corrupt intervention and that would help with the gen rushing swf squads. It would be a pain in the booty for soloq (since half the team hides half the match) but it might still be fun.

  • For the survivors who disagree with Mori -

Chance to escape a Mori attempt 15/30/45% or something to that affect.

For the killers who disagree with keys -

Key users must have to complete 1/2 difficult skill checks in order to open hatch and any attempt to do so will alert the killer.

For killers who disagree with Object of Obsession -

Just a plain ol' aura reading block perk. Although, I don't feel like it's that big of a deal but some do. If it's worth a perk slot to them then I say go for it.

Problem solved. No one can complain, then. I get SO tired of the complaining. Just play the game and move on to the next one.

    The matchmaking is really broken.

Red ranks are usually paired with low ranks, it doesn't matter if we have MMR or not.

I know. It's like the system goes out of it's way to match complete opposite ranks atm.

Granted, my killer rank is incredibly low but if the new system were working properly I still wouldn't have been matched with people that were that new to the game.

I feel bad going against survivor babies All. The. Time.

They really don't deserve to get matched with lil' old me, the rank 1 killer with 2k hours. I try to be nice and as chill as possible and give them some hands-on lessons (in murder), but I'm also not willing to wait 30 minutes for them to grow a pair and do the gens.

This is why we need a working MMR ASAP.

Yeah, I completely understand that.. and like I told someone else, they shouldn't just throw new people into the mix immediately. Let them play against each other until they get a few hours under their belt, at least. The way it is right now.. It isn't fair to the survivors or the killer.

I was starting to feel bad for this (turns out) Rank 18 Nurse in a match I just did. They blinked once, whiffed it, and then never blinked again in the match.

I'm rank 19 Survivor, by the way, because I rarely play Survivor and BHVR loves rank resets. Anyway, I pop out two gens, heal some, and cleanse two totems while the Nurse is just slow hovering around the map not messing with blinks anymore.

And yet, somehow, they managed to get a 3k because after she hooked one, the other two just kept swarming the hook (thanks Empathy). I grabbed the hatch and left.

Like, how do you give a 3k to a non-blinking nurse? And they were survivor ranks 13-16, too.

I was too stunned with disbelief to feel bad for anyone in that match. This was worse than the 4-man that swarmed the hook against my Leatherface resulting in a short match and a 4k yesterday, and I didn't think anything could top that one. In that match, the survivors were purple ranks.

@Carlosylu, add this Nurse match to your list. 😂

A slow hovering Nurse? That's depressing and cute, all at the same time. lol

That reminds me of my first ever rage quit, which was just the other day. I've never DC'd in a match before, no matter what. I usually just let it play out because I know how DCs can affect a match. Anyway, it was a trapper. They hooked their first person and stayed right by the hook, setting traps and camping it. Someone was running kindred, so everyone could see. One by one they went and immediately got trapped and hooked. No plan or anything.. just went in guns blazing. I saw an opportunity and unhooked one of them, then they immediately went back and did the same thing. This was all within 2 minutes of the match starting. I immediately DC'd and left their dumb asses there to die. I was annoyed with the Trapper for playing like that at first.. but this wasn't his fault. This was the fault of horrible teammates and the cluster ######### that is soloq. Worst part is that none of them were new. I don't remember exact ranks but they were not new.

  • @sad_killer_main said:

I barely feel bad for survivors.

The only scenarios where I do feel bad are those that you described, the ones where they don't even know what they are doing in the game, because they are extremely new players. Then I always give hatch.

Yeah, the ones that have obviously been around for a minute or two doesn't bother me. They know how this game works by now. I mean I knew these players were somewhat new but never thought they could possibly be as new as they were. Honestly they should make it to where new players are only matched with new players for their first so many games or something like that.

Nope. Play more killer and you will very quickly learn why yourself. That's the band-aid that needs ripped off.

I haven't had to play much killer to learn that lesson. I've already had a whole squad of red rank swfs come through my lobby. It didn't take long, either. Little shits running around, trying to copy moves from their favorite YouTubers because they can't come up with anything orginal. The ones who are overly toxic in the match then even more so in chat afterwards because I didn't play along, thinking they've really done something when they're not as good as they think they are.... My band-aid got ripped off pretty early on.. These days if I even suspect swf or see a lobby of 3-4 flashlights, I'm outta there. ######### that. But yeah, I can 100% see why killer mains feel the way they do.

  • Well, I'm not going to hate on you because I feel your pain. I play 99.9% survivor, only playing killer for daily rituals and such. Needless to say, my killer rank is 20. I get paired with full red rank squads sometimes. It really is pretty ######### how bad they bully and act like smart asses after the match. They're always so proud of themselves for bullying low rank killers, using techniques they've copied off of YouTube (they're never original). What's worse now, is that you can't leave or else you're punished for trying to get away from the little ######### (DC Penalty). I usually just end up going to the opposite end of the map and let them do what they gotta do. However, I believe you've posted this in the wrong spot on this here forum. I would recommend posting in Feedback or Discussions so that more people will see it and can maybe help you.

  • I'm a simmer, too. It's amazing! Thanks for sharing. :D

I had this happen the other day. A brand new Kate that was clearly new I gave some reprieve every time I saw her (once she was on death hook). I tried to find the hatch and carry her to it, but she kept wiggling free and running off (repeat repeat repeat). Once I eventually knew where the hatch was I even tried whiffing with my weapon to get her to follow me. Nope. Kept running. Eventually I managed to down her at a spot where I could carry her all the way to hatch before she could wiggle all the way free. Finally she “got it”, and jumped in the hatch after a 2 second delay of standing there not knowing what to do.

That's exactly what happened, only I was trying to give her the door. She went and hid and I didn't have time to find her. Actually I thought she would run to the other door and open it but she didn't. I'm guessing she didn't know what would happen once the timer ran out. I felt so bad that I just switched back to survivor, only to get a rank 17 Ghost Face that my teammates bullied into a corner... literally... and that concluded my time on DBD for the rest of the night. lol

I farm 100% of the time with people who don't know what they are doing. As a survivor main, it's just too painful for me to slaughter new players who are trying to learn. I look at them not as enemies but as potential future teammates, and maybe by letting them live and run some laps around the map, drop some pallets, vault some windows, etc. it could effect my own experience positively when they rank up.

I've had some really funny moments with groups of four identical fengs circling me and tbagging or just yesterday I farmed with a group of players who all started rotating and jumping in and out of three lockers while I nodded and spun in circles lol

It's amazing how friendly this community can be when we are just... you know... friendly?

Also, if the survivors bring 2+ bps or cakes, I'm gonna try to farm with that. Hopefully everybody is leaving that game with 75k+ BPs.

I think that's my thing, too. It wasn't so long ago that I was that baby Meg... feeling like a couldn't catch a break.

Farming with them is actually a good idea. I don't really play enough killer to take it seriously tbh.

  • I am the same way when I know a killer is new. I went back to playing survivor right after and ended up being matched with a rank 17 Ghost Face. My teammates were sabo'ing hooks as he would go to hook someone and finally he was just defeated and stood in the corner. I felt even worse about that, to the point where I would have sacrificed myself (even though it was the randoms doing it) but he wouldn't even hit anyone after that. It was pretty sad. What even worse is that now you can't even tell them you're sorry if they're all on console. I just thought I was being overly compassionate or hormonal.

  • This question probably does get asked every month... Still... I definitely didn't think I was the first to ask.. but I kinda wanted to have my own discussion about it. I mean, if that's okay?💁‍♀️

    Nerfed?!??

Ruin was seriously buffed. If it spawns in a difficult to find spot, it can become a complete nightmare to deal with once 1 survivor is dead, and the killer is excellent at monitoring gen activity.

You may be right, actually. I can have a gen nearly finished, then go back to it for what doesn't even seem like a minute later and it's regressed completely.

Edit: And, you're not dealing with the ruin skill checks so people aren't going out of their way to look for it now. At least I don't, anyway.

  • I would love to help. Would be glad to get that straightened out.

I'm not necessarily disconnecting while I'm in a match, it's happening after I use the bloodweb. I just switched over to PTB and it is still happening.

    1. I spend bloodpoints on a survivor.
    2. When I try to switch survivors or close out of the bloodweb screen in any other way I get disconnected. Sometimes I have to make my bloodweb purchases all over again.

The screenshot is of the message I get most of the time. It's been happening randomly ever since the last update but tonight it's started happening every time.

  • I'm having the opposite problem. I play on PC and plan to opt out of playing with console players. Not because they're 'Gods' but because they all seem to face camp. That was my experience last night, anyway. 8 out of 10 matches I was camped to death. I would run into that sporadically before but now it's every game. I would rather play against a 'god' like killer and die anyway than against a ######### one who ruins everyone else's game because they're selfish and have no real skill. Not attacking anyone personally but that's just been my experience so far. Oh, and also queue times are worse than before.
