  • If there are any upcoming changes, it should be kept in mind that the solo survivor escape rates in all ranks are laughable.

The top tier killers such as hillbilly, nurse and spirit are already strong enough (and even overpowered with some addons). Any changes to survivors (nerfs, additional objective or increased gen repair time ... etc) would consequently make these killers even stronger.

Balancing should be done for both sides. Otherwise, it is just butchering one side to the point where it is not playable.

  • Ruin is not mandatory on every killer. Nurse, Billy and spirit don't really need Ruin.

Hybridpanda reaches red ranks every season while playing variety of killers. He rarely use Ruin (never camp or tunnel).

Sverkeren (he doesn't stream anymore) used to reach rank 1 every season with huntress without Ruin or any other game slowing perks.

Why do you think you are not supposed to run a certain perk to improve your chance of winning?

Even if the devs gave you a fifth perk slot to run Ruin or implemented a second objective. The gens would still be done too fast if you don't know how to create and maintain map pressure.

Stop asking the devs to babysit you  and focus on improving your gameplay. If you get gen rushed every game, then the problem is you, and not the devs/game.

The devs don't listen to you because if they listened to you, the game would be dead by now.

  • I don't have problems finding lobbies as survivor but they take forever to be filled. Sometimes the killer just give up and cancel the lobby.

  • "Nurse is only as good as the player who's using her."

Using the same logic, a survivor is as good as the player who is playing him/her. Therefore, the devs should stop nerfing survivors (perks, loops, vaulting conditions ... etc).

"You really need to think when it comes to playing as that killer."

Just because it takes a lot of time to master her, does not mean it is ok for her to remain broken. If I play survivor for 5000 hrs, does that mean it is ok for me to have the potential to demolish killers?

"She isn't actually as powerful as people think she is."

    - She is as powerful as the player who is using her (as you said earlier).

    - She is one of the most used killers in red ranks for a reason.

“Most of the time, her add-ons aren't as useful”

I don’t have a lot to say here since most people agree that her addons need to be reworked.

"Because of how hitboxes and map layouts are, she's not as accurate as she used to be."

Yes, hit boxes are broken but not in favour of the survivors. I got hit by nurse many times while I am behind her back.

The bottom line is, a killer that ignores all the survivors' defenses/mechanics should not exist in this game regardless of the skill required to master that particular killer.

First of all, I literally posted my comment and went to sleep immediately and just woke up now. I didn't downvote you or anything. We are having a discussion, we are not enemies. Moreover, your opinion is not a fact, it is just ... an opinion.

Secondly, we are here to discuss your post, not my post from 2 months ago so let us focus on the topic.

In my opinion, the depip squad is an extreme example. I agree that 4 very good organized and efficient survivors are better than 1 very good killer (unless it is nurse). However, balancing the game around cases like this (which represent a very small portion of the playerbase) would only push solo survivors away from the game.

I am not gonna tell you git gud because I have seen your clips and you are very gud. Since you are rank 1 killer, that means you are winning most of your matches. I also admit that the gen rush is real when the survivors are decent. However, it is very rare to get decent teammates when playing solo (which according to the stats released by the devs represent most of the playerbase).

Killer queue times are already long enough. This is because there are more killers than survivors and this is not something that the matchmaking system could fix. If you keep pushing the devs to nerf solo survivors (which is already a frustrating and not so fun experience) more and more, you guys would sit in lobby simulators for hours without anybody joining.

  • I am curious, if most of your matches are like how you described in this post, how did you reach rank 1 with the current ranking system?

If you are rank 1, that means you have been demolishing survivors match after match (because again, this is what it takes to reach and maintain rank 1 killer at the moment).

If you are complaining about a few matches that went wrong and forgot all the other matches where you dominated and won (because again this is what it takes to reach rank 1), then I really have nothing to say.

  • The sound is not fine as it is now. You can't hear the:

    • Chase music.
    • Heartbeat unless the killer is really close to you.
    • Michael Myers entering and leaving Evil Within 3.
    • No sound notification when the plague interacts with the pools of devotion to obtain the corrupt purge.
    • Nurse blinks.
    • Hillbilly chainsaw unless he is very close.
    • The hatch noise is very faint now and therefore much more difficult to find.

I have seen many other posts (in reddit and steam forums) complaining about the sound being bugged, and therefore I know I am not the only one that have this issue.

I have no idea why it was not fixed in the "hot fix". It is a game breaking issue and unfortunately the devs still did no acknowledge it @Peanits

Playing the killer in red ranks was never fun anymore.

I am not here to argue which role is more fun to play. Playing killer is stressful, I understand that. My complain in this post is that once you rank up as a survivor, you will play against the nurse over and over which is boring and frustrating in the same time.

try playing killer, you will have a ton of fun in red ranks!

I wish I could play killer; the game is not so popular in my region and the queue times are insanely long. If I play killer all the survivors will have ping above 150 ms which would not be fair. I would not feel satisfied even if I win. In addition, my internet is not great :(

I understand that playing killer is a lot more stressful than playing survivor and playing against a squad of coordinated SWF makes the job 3x harder but you still have a chance of wining. Both sides should have fun by having equal chances of wining. Playing against a killer that breaks the mechanics of the game removes all the fun you could have as a survivor.
