  • I know the perk description is not accurate and couldn't take it on face value. The description of NC mentioned as instinct of past life as nurse, the killer is drawn towards those who need help, presumably medical help. You get hit and bleeding, you need help to heal, so NC see it. You are losing sanity and need to snap out of it, someone can help you regain sanity, so NC see it. You are getting drag into dream world by some paranormal being and couldn't wake up, you need help to wake up, so NC see it. Up untill now, it make sense at least to me that NC would draw the killer close to you.

Now , a psycho with knife deeply wound you, you are breaking apart and need help mending yourself and somehow NC will not see you? Your gut are falling out and you have to pull yourself together but nope, you are not needing any help, NC should not see you.

It is like the dev overlook this and too embarrass getting caught by the player. So they throw a fit and say "you all crying about this and drag Doc and Fred  into this. You know what? No one getting anything out of this, I'm removing all the detection made by NC. Happy now?"
  • Please stop complaining about the killer or else I will complain about your complain by complaining some more.

For me, Legion problem is not enough pressure. Mending takes too little time,  frenzy require tagging multiple survivor to be more effective, but survivors can know that they are playing against legion by just look at the DW bar. Decent survivor already know that they can't stick together and spread out is safer in general.

    My idea:
    1) Different walk cycle in DW state"" and hide the bleed out bar. Without bleed out bar, Legion won't be exposed early game, survivor won't be notified if their teammate is in DW and only can tell if they are nearby to observe it.

    2) Make self mending longer and mending by other significantly shorter so that it is better to have someone mend you. Survivor in DW state see teammate aura, so survivor can make a choice by either hiding well and waste more time mending or run to teammate and risk the possibility of leading Legion to teammate.

I know both of my idea is kind of difficult to do. They did said making new animation takes up a lot of resources that they could not simply do it. Seeing teammate aura in DW also directly buff borrowed time, which is already been buff when Legion come out and annoying to deal with at the first place.
  • I can confirm the "making fun of killer with friends" part is true. I had once play KYF with a group that know each other but I'm the newcomer.  We only played one round with me as killer, and they brought 2 new moon offerings and 2 purple barks with 2 toolboxes with a squad of 3 Claudette.

The match went to hell for me very quickly, we get Macmillen, a map that is already very dark pair with new moon offering. Claudettes can basically running infront of me and I cannot see anything. I heard through my headphone, the constant laugh and giggle and occasional "I'm right here but he can't see me, hahaha", they are having so much fun seeing me struggle.

I finally caught one of them after god know how long and the next thing they do was to bodyblock the hook and then broke it right infront of me, saying "ha, let see where you can find the next hook, i sabo every single nearby hook".

I finally had enough and yell back at them, and make a point to never play with them again, they never talk to me afterward too.

I have a few groups break up in discord channel after KYF session. Apparently KYF is not fun because you are unable to do toxic ######### to your friend without upsetting someone and become topic of argument .
  • Imagine a bunch of streamer versing copycat killer and accusing each other to be the copycat, and then the real killer suddenly lunge at them. It perfectly made for a hilarious moment in video, funny for SWF/streamer, can caught non-swf survivor off guard but a nightmare to killer. BHVR is trying to close the gap between SWF and random, this killer is useless versing SWF and decently strong for random, which is opposite of what they trying to do.
Yes, I play my fair share of SWF as well and I get what you said by not always sharing the location. But once you know who is the killer, you will start playing around the killer or just make up rules like always assume the others to be the killer and no approaching without safe word or something.

  • You are not the first one suggesting killer with similar power, I believed this is the nth time this get brought up, and the answer is always the same.
It will just fall victim of SWF and no, it will never work unless DBD somehow able to block third party voice chat software from work.

  • Tier list is an opinion, of course it will based off of personal experience and how much success that person have with a particular killer.
If that couldn't be reflected into making a tier list, then official should just release the killer rate.of each killer as tier list and call it a day.

Quite honestly, I think the devs should no longer release statistics. They are not doing anyone a favour.

I would say either release it at the predetermined interval or not releasing it at all. While releasing it, give us clearer background as well such as the period of data represented, what is and not being count. Give us some context so that we can have the whole picture and more accurate representation of what the statistic is about.

It is frustrating to constantly hear people shouting all the nerfs/buffs are killing their mood the play certain side and then proceed to list down a bunch of hear say and anecdote that literally no one encounter to justify their point. I am all for them releasing regular statistic and being transparent with player, but I understand it will just open up another can of worms that BHVR is not willing to dealt with it.

Reducing the Player's rank may be exactly what they want. Giving them a time ban would decrease the available players actually playing by quite a lot, and a 24h time ban could potentially punish people who genuinely disconnected and therein lies the problem. Any punishment you create will affect both the Rage Quitters and the people who are genuinely disconnecting due to internet or host issues.

I'd say a 10 minute cooldown on joining/creating a lobby as well as a 50% BP gain reduction on your next game would suffice, it isn't so severe as to cause a massive decline in players nor is it too harsh on those who accidentally d/c'd

While it hurts me to say this, but dropping 1 whole rank and give them what they want might be more efficient and control the damage better. If they really purposely rank down, no matter the punishment, they will do it anyway. So why not just let them rank down faster so that they won't DC in more trial and less match having quitter.
That being said, it just shows how flawed the ranking system is atm.

  • It should be just this afternoon when I SWF with 1 friend. Only my pairs are SWF and the other 2 are random. one of the random Meg get tunneled all game, getting chased a full map. That hunstress just want her dead for some reason, proxi camp her when she is on hook, finally get far enough chasing another guy for us to unhook her and she drop the chase to come back and tunnel her again.

We have no choice but gen rush and get the gate open but at that point she was looping huntress at the far end of the map. All three of us run to her, waiting to cut in and taking hit for her one by one. At last, all four of us get hit but successfully escort Meg to the gate across the map.

Although 2 of us can communicate, but all three of us working so well together running toward the chase without second thought. That Meg saw us all around her and get what we try to do and create opportunity for us to cut in and block the huntress. The end game chat was fantastic as well, that Meg keep cool and said gg, no one blame the huntress for tunneling, no one spew toxic shXt at each other. We just civilly said "gg" and move on.

  • I think this is a "damn if you do, damn if you don't" situation. You put the cosmetic in, people cry about racism because it is a blackface. You remove the cosmetic, people cry about they purposely ignore Claudette face because she is black.

  • I would like to say, before I lay down my opinions, that I'm not good at the game and I do feel that the game at the current state is tilt slightly toward the killer, I do play both sides but my opinion do not involve any skill, so..

Do they release any similar chart before? I'm new to this game and didn't follow any stream or statistic before they release this chart. On that chart alone, it seems that the survival rank is low., but with no reference point, we couldn't tell whether the buffs to killer tip the favor towards killer or the survival rate remains more or less the same. This is an old game, without long term data collection and statistic, it just won't give us an accurate picture. Of course, pretend that I never said anything if they do release regular statistic.

The survival rate peak at Rank 1 around 43~44%, and dev said that their ideal balance is 2K(which should be 50%), seems a bit lower than what dev expected, but it is possible that the survivors are still adapting to the change. Again, the survival rate graph means very little without long term data collection.

  • When playing swf, I dislike the players that are control freak. They will constantly asking you what perks you bring, do you have BT on this character, and then dictate what you do in game too.
It is so annoying that I was once pressured into pouring about 80k bp onto Bill to get BT teachable, then he started preaching DS. I don't get BT and DS because they don't fit my playstyle, I hate DS as a killer and I don't wish it upon the killer I play against(even though I know I "handicap" myself and my team if I don't bring DS).
Once in-game, they will boss you around to unhook the Meg, open that chest, go fix that generator behind the fence, and then have a fit if you don't follow their script to the T. We encountered a camping nurse (yes, it is not a myth) and we couldn't unhook him because we don't have BT. He throw a tantrum crying about his team had useless, selfish perks (one of the guy had WGLF).
I made a mental note to avoid playing with this kind of player. What make it even worst is that they usually lack awareness, asking me to join them and then wonder why I never want to be on their team again.
