People play the game to enjoy themselves. They paid to play the game. If something they find fun is no longer fun (i.e playing as Legion) they have every right as a consumer to complain.

I get it's frustrating for the devs to listen to the complaints, but when there's something this wrong at this magnitude of a scale in the forums then at the very least they should reconsider their decisions even before the Live Version is released (The PTB is there for a reason, for the community to give feedback on it and what they think is or isn't going to work for the live version.)

The line is, many people are unhappy about the changes made to a game they love to play. So they will make complaints about it until the issue is resolved.

Are there some complaints that are unreasonable? Of course! But are all of them like that? Heck no! It just so happens this community is one of, if not, the worst gaming communities of all time. So you will most likely hear more negative stuff coming out rather than something positive.

Telling people to become a game dev just because they want something they like in a game they love to be changed for the better is not helpful or constructive. If anything it would make some people double down on their behaviour to act like crud against the developers.

Please read my response carefully. I have no problem with critique. But you can be respectful about it. Debasing people while expressing said critique is immature and harassing.

To other call outs, I spent a ton of hours on Legion since day 1. I am saddened by how the Legion was changed. I have cosplayed Susie because I love her character. But I can express my disappointment in fair terms. State what I don't like, suggest improvements, and then hope for the best.

But at the end of they day, you may be disapppointed. Raging that the solution is so simple or that you are not being heard are short sighted remarks that demonstrate a lack of understanding of the complexities of making a game.

You spent 8 dollars, a tiny drop in the bucket in the scheme of life, for entertainment. I have spent that on 45 minutes of DDR in the arcade and was happy. That people expect an indefinite amount of enjoyment, tailored to their demands for such a paltry sum is ridoculous.

Your life does not start and end with Dead By Daylight. But the devs lives greatly do. They are doing what they can with the talent and resources they have. If you feel they have a track record of disappointing you, you have no one to blame but yourself for being a glutton for punishment.

And yes, this is a horridly long rant, but I am so tired of the gaming community tearing down creators at every turn. Please be decent human beings. The world is in short supply these days.

  • Just want to chime in here to say that as someone who game tested on a AAA title at one of the big three console makers, I doubt many people here actually understand the man hours and resources that go into making a game. Bug testing alone, even at the lowest level, is thousands per day, even with a small team, before you even add in administrative costs. And that's only one small department.

Furthermore, every company has varying skill sets and available resources. Not every painter is Van Gogh, but people should still be appreciated for the work and skill they put into their craft, even if they fall short. If I had to face the deluge of entitlement trash talk that happens to game developers about something I loved and worked hard at, I wouldn't be long for this world.

Please stop living your life through the game. Be respectful, critique, and if you are that unhappy, have the decency to move on. Or, if you're passionate, work towards becoming a game dev and being the change you want to see.

No one, and I mean NO ONE, has to sit and and take being ground into the dirt the way they are being here, or anywhere else in life for that matter.

  • Joining the bandwagon here. I pulled away from a survivor thinking they failed a healing check next to gates. I don't think anyone asked for this, honestly...

  • Losing gracefully seems to be a lost art these days. It's such a telling display of one's character, and currently the gaming community at large seems to be severely lacking...

Why do you even read or accept messages like that. It's just stupid and a waste of time.

Because it literally pops up on my screen as it's sent? Because if I didn't go in and delete it, it would literally be there everytime an IRL friend sent me something through PSN? In those proccesses, I've seen the content within all of two seconds, it's upsetting, so I dealt with it. I have an anxiety disorder, so please don't suggest to "ignore it and move on."

No one should have to be treated like trash and act like that's acceptable. Please don't imply that I am stupid because I expect people to act with decency and rightfully upset by people who go out of their way to be hurtful and try to stalk me.

I had a two man swf message me saying I was tunneling but they let me see them run for the hook they were rank 15 and salty as heck they ended up stalking me like my FB and other social accounts saying that they were going to come to my state and kill me cuz they lost :/

No joke, you can report them to the police for that, since cyber stalking is a crime. People used to think it was an overreaction, but not when I read about swatting and the like.

I actually had to turn off messages on PSN because of constant harassment. Then, when people saw they couldn't do that, they'd send friend requests with nasty messages attached.

One guy did that and I added him he called me stupid for doing so, as if I had no right to respond to his disgusting message, so I told him off for being rude and immature. He then said he was going to do everything in his power to get me banned on PSN and Dead By Daylight, all the while calling me filthy names. It's like, dude, keep going. More proof for me to provide that you are nuts. I reported him to both.

So yeah, thanks to this game Ican't even communicate with other players on PSN anymore. =\

  • I only dodge if there are 2+ red ping survivors. Otherwise, I know how long the lobby wait times, so I don't want to extend that time longer if possible.

Oh? Look out for a P3 Julie Legion then. As that is most likely me, "KHFanOnline1".

I would like to fite you online sometime. ;)

Ok, now I feel like I gotta help represent too. I'll run Susie next time I play. See you in the fog survivors~

  • Because I play her so much, I do a bit better surviving against her. I also run a stealthy Nea build most the time, so that works well against her.

  • After the rework, I almost never see Legion on PS4. I only played them once myself and hated it after having put so much time into them.

Nurse is also scarce as she is tough to play well on console. Auto-aim kills her and Legion both...
