Time: Exact time unknown. It was roughly three days ago, it started shortly after I had purchased the spirit with iridescent shards.
Time I retried: Right away. I was just locked out of every game. I tried for hours each day and as a survivor, all I would get is an infinite "waiting" icon. I couldn't even join a lobby. As killer, I could create a lobby but not a single person could join. When I would cancel the join lobby function for survivor, it wouldn't let me back out to the home screen right away. It would take awhile of pressing the back button but then finally would say "Host unreachable"
This continued for two straight days with no sign of letting up despite hooking up anethernet cable, reinstalling the app, closing the application, testing internet connection, resetting router and restarting the PS4. I contacted my ISP to see if anything was up, and nothing has changed, I have no data cap.
It has been only recently that I can occasionally play a game, but only as killer, and I'm lucky to get 1 after several hours of trying, cycling back and forth between testing internet connection before a game and restarting the PS4.
There's a problem and it ain't me.

DC'ing is really frustrating, but at the same time I understand and sympathize with it. Especially if you've had several games in a row with bad RNG, i.e. you were the first person downed by a basement facecamping, insidious leather face, the impulse to just DC and take a break is relateable.
What upsets me the most is when survivors DC immediately at the very beginning of the game not because the killer is camping, but because they see no one is going for the save. It's basically a spite DC. "Oh, no one's going to save me? Well, you're ######### now. Haha."

Dude, the shaking mechanic would be hilarious and terrifying at the same time. Imagine seeing your teammate unwittingly rushing toward your generator freaking out that Chucky is on top of him.
A person can dream.

Thank you, Kind_Lemon. I agree with you as well. Killers should encourage stealth again. With the DS, Sprint burst, Adrenaline, Dead Hard, Self Care meta you're not really encouraged to concentrate too hard on the killers movements or whereabouts, nor do you really even fear being found that much. In fact, I would say playing too stealthily is a disadvantage most of the time. Stealth/Gen jockey builds are still viable (I made it to rank 1 with a Spine chill, Bond, Urban evasion, and Plunderer's instinct Nea, but honestly I think they're outclassed by chase builds. The situations in which I have to utilize stealth pale in comparison to the situations in which I have to throw caution to the wind and haul ass.

If my team was ######### and dies with three gens left to go , I'll go spin under a hook, why make the killer spend time hunting me down? Likewise, if my friend and i are in a game and two members dc (whether at the start or during game) we'll do the same, they got cheated out of kills so it makes sense to us.Which is why its kind of upsetting to be branded with the rest when other survivors are twits. On the other hand, when we do this 90% of killers are indeed grateful. As i have said before, the non toxic survivors can do little about our toxic brethren, but we do what we can in the games we play.
Basically, this. If the game goes to ######### really early, I feel like it's rude to waste each-others time. Just accept the de-pip and let's move on with our lives. A lot of killers will give me the hatch out of appreciation when I do this, so it's usually worth it.
Also, sometimes being hooked is the strategic thing to do. If I know that someone else is hooked that's better at looping than I am, I might offer myself up if it's not death hook so someone else can save him/her, especially if the killer has to walk quite a ways to get to a hook and can't reasonably defend both.

That would be really interesting to see how they would do that. It would be tricky figuring something like that out given how small that he is. What base movement speed should such a tiny killer have that's so easily able to abuse line of sight blockers? Maybe they could give him a base 115% movement speed like a normal killer, but compensate for this by requiring him to get at least three hits on survivor to down them, since after all, he is just a doll.
Imagine giving him the special ability to hide in closets, or to scale certain structures in the map and drop down on people. There's a world of fun and creativity to be had with that one.

It would be nice if they introduced killers that have perks or special powers that allow them to kill without placing you on a hook. Just as an example, let's say our hypothetical killer is "the witch." When you play against her, you have three personal belongings of yours (A locket, a watch, a photo, etc. Something sentimentally connected to you) that are placed throughout the map for the witch to find. Should the witch manage to find all three belongings connected to one survivor, she can perform an incantation that would cast a curse on said survivor - what that curse would be would be randomly determined between an instant down, a permanent 20% nerf to repair speed, or say the ability to track said survivors aura for a full 30 seconds. The catch is, the survivors would also be able to find their associated belongings and hide them in a different spot if they know the witch saw or knows where it is.
The reason why I want something like this so bad as survivor is because it would give me something other to do than run around and press L1 all day long. It would add a much deeper layer to the game. I feel like you really don't have to pay attention or keep track of as many things as a survivor. I basically just run around to where I'm not likely to get ganked and do gens. Alternate kill methods for the killer that also place an extra objective on the survivors force us to think a little harder about what the killers next move is going to be instead simply "He's over there, so I'm going over here"
The only killer we have that comes close to filling this role in any capacity is the pig.

Billy is pretty dominant on consoles in my experience. Hag, Michael, Spirit and a lot of Wraith, actually, since his new buffs.
I think a lot of people underestimated the spirit, people said that her main utility would just be in mind games but I don't think that's true. She can zip across the map like Hilly-billy and her diagonal lunge slash makes her pretty difficult to juke.

What if they simply added in a defensive mechanic against premature hook rescues? Let's say that for the first forty seconds that someone is hooked, and the killer isn't within a 32 meter range, any survivor that goes for the save has a 10% to be instantly downed by one of the entities tentacles.
Killers would be strongly motivated to take their chances and leave the hook, and it would basically end hook diving, considering that if all three people tried to compete for the save there would be a scary 30% chance that someone else will be instantly downed.
I am a bit hazy on the exact distances and percentages that would make this work, like how far the killer has to leave in order for the mechanic to begin count down, but I think the formula is solid. I guess it may still be discredited as a killer buff, but survivors may care about it less considering a low percentage of an instant down may not feel like as much of a threat as a guaranteed, stackable repair debuff.
The only real issue I see is generators happen to be within the hook radius, but there's probably creative workarounds for that, which I'm too tired to think of at the moment. I'll edit later, ha.

I run whispers, nurses calling, ruin, and iron grasp on my Myers. You can swap out iron grasp for another tracking perk like BBQ and chili, but I find in my experience that whispers and nurses calling is usually enough. Iron grasp is mainly to counter those pesky SWF groups that think they can body block you when you're not in Evil Within 3. As has been mentioned, Myers is also really good at proxy camping. Utilizing iron grasp to place your victim within walking distance of three generators is particularly nasty. You can also surprise down people silly enough to heal in front of you because they think you won't risk the wiggle free.

If you don't struggle, if you don't tea-bag, if you played smart or I felt you were screwed by your teammate and most importantly, if I know where it is. None of the above really matters if I don't know where the hatch is, I'm lazy and cbf.
