The game is just fine with 4 perks, no need to add another perk slot.I think there will be some very good builds for killer if we add the 5th one. Like Tanataphobia, Distressing, Clownophobia, Unnerving presence, and something else working with a terror radius

You just get mindgamed to easily by killers
Exactly. Survivors if know how to play and what to do and when to do it, they are stronger than any killer.

At least make it so other survivors could see your devotion level. Otherwise why do we have this level if there is nothin behind it, just a count, which cannot be shown to anyone.
-
If breaking hooks is difficult enough and time requiring, the killer will kill them all before they even break them for the first time, when they can recover. And if, somehow, they managed to do it, they still need to do gens. And there will be some around the basement.

Never going to happen, it was changed for a reason and that was mainly due to survivors complaining not killers. The meta back then consisted of IG and Agi to try and get survviors to the basement, being slugged for four minutes every game because some idiot thought it was fun to sabo was never fun, now its a lot more tactical with the 99% strat at least.
There are also those survivors who would run to the far off corner when no hooks were left knowing the killer couldn't reach the basement just prolonging the game for no reason.
I remember those times. But back then it was so easy and quick to break the hooks. Hear me out. I want it to be time requiring as hell, and very difficult to break them all. And by the way. The killers do have Hangman's trick. If the killer takes it, the breaking hooks idea will not work in this case.

If a killer had the 5th perk, why not take Iron grasp everytime or Agitation?

Permanent hook breaking is not coming back, ever, unless you enjoy bleeding out on the floor for 4 minutes because there aren't any hooks left. Stop trying to make it seem OK to deprive the Killer of all but the basement hooks. You said as if it will be bad for the survivor to be on the ground and bleed. They'll find a way to survive.

Now we get to why you want to break hooks permanently. Thanks for outing yourself.
Are you talking about manners? because most of the time killers don't care about manners. They take hex ruin, they facecamp, they tunnel without any reason (without Dying light, Remember me ,,,) Yeah, I'm not embarassed to say that I'm using those perks. I don't use DS when the killer is weak and can't kill anyone...

Killers don't seem to be so strong still. I've noticed that most of the time I kill someone due to their mistakes not because killers are stronger. If they don't make stupid mistakes, it is hard to kill a team that gen rushes and pallet loop correctly. With the 5th perk slot there are so many good builds you can make to be stronger and fun to play.idk what game you're playing but i've had numerous killers have zero problems getting at least two kills per match even when looped you're probably just not playing with people at your skill level. Also "gen rushing" isn't a thing. The survivors have one main objective throughout the game and it's to complete generators idk what you're expecting them too do. Just stand around waiting to die? You're not supposed to get four kills every match the devs even said two kills a match is considered balanced.
What I am saying is, not to make only killers stronger by adding the 5th perk slot, but also the survivors a little bit stronger by letting them break all hooks permanently (only when you break a hook for the 2nd time) That, I think, will keep the balance, in some way.
P.S. Genrush is a thing, Not every survivor repairs a gen during the whole game. Sometimes they hide, crouching for a long time, cleansing the dull totems, even break hooks for whatever reason. They take flashlights and follow the killer, who is chasing a different survivor. They don't all repair. -

If we give a Killer the 5th perk slot, and let the survivors break hooks completely but only after the second time, and that will be equal I think.
-
Did I say "they don't do anything"? With rank rewards they had time. They could find a little bit of time to do smth about the rank rewards during the time the rank system exists. and that is almost 2 years.
-
I am just afraid they will start giving rewards from any level you are now. not considering the devotion levels that you already have
-
I understand that. But they've been rebalancing, fixing for 2 years now, and they will continue. It shouldn't be hard to give 100 shards everytime you get a devotion (100 lvl)
-
Killers are weak when we have a team of good players. Not even very good. And if you don't sluggame, tunnel or whatever the strategy is (which is bad mannered right?) , it is still hard to kill 4 out of 4 sometimes.
-
Killers are not OP. Survivors make mistakes and killers just take advantage of it. If they gen rush, the killer can't do anything.

Apparently they plan to give rewards for Devotion but they said the same about giving rewards for Rank Seasons and yet here we are, over 2 years later, with no such thing.Yeah. But getting devotion 1 is much more time requiring than getting rank 1.
-

The look of five perks can look this way (I know there are survivor perks but imagine killer perks) -
1800 hours in this game and it is only repairing, saving, running away or hiding. Repairing, saving, running away, hiding. Boring.
-
I know killers are weaker now than survivors. But I'm not asking to make it easy to break hooks. It's not a buff of the survivors. Its about the gameplay mechanics that is useless. And to make it more interesting is to add a slightest possibility to break all the hooks. Which can be done very seldom because it will be so hard to do. Thats what I'm asking
-
Why not? At least breaking hooks will make sense. 4 people need to go and break every hook on the map. wait for 3 minutes and break them all again. That will take a lot of time. AND that will work only if the killer didn't take Hangman's trick. In this way the hooks will recover. Make it even harder to break hooks, but leave the opportunity there. Don't take it away. It was fun.
-
I'm not suggesting to let the survivors break hooks easily. Let it be very hard. Idk. Maybe even after the third breaking only. But there is no such possibility. It would make the game much more fun. Because now the gameplay is like repairing, running away, or hiding. That's it.
-
Okay, My mistake. There are only 8 hooks probably. Not so many. But why not make the time of recovering hooks like 4 or 5 minutes at least. Why? Why should it be so quickly?
-
EXACTLY. I agree 100%. I am level 99 and I'm about to get my 2nd devotion and I had such a devastating feeling that there is nothing behind this "devotion". Only numbers which no one will ever see. It doesn't even work with showing off. It doesn't make any sense! To level up just for the sake of leveling up. Really?? PLEASE DO SOMETHING. Any minor reward would be nice.
