The new Nemesis perk named “Hysteria” could work well.
whenever you down an injured survivor, all other injured survivors are oblivious for 30 seconds!
it’s not a very strong perk, but it could work well depending how you use it!

I want to say one of these two. The first is instakills from stealth at 130% movespeed, not much scarier than that if you care about living in DBD.
The second your location is instead hidden by a ~50m terror radius and knockout, but you find more survivors through infectious while they have no idea where you are coming from. It can be a bit hard to get it rolling though but once you are there it’s one of the scariest builds in the game imo
I never thought about distressing or knockout! Knockout sounds really cool especially if your just gonna slug. I really like the infectious-knockout-distressing combo as well! I’ll give it a shot!

Why don’t you play duck hunt if you just want a mindless easy 4K game? They’ve taken out pallets, boarded up windows, redone maps, survivors are slow, and only survivor perks are anti tunneling. What honestly more do you need? Plus ds is crap now too. Maybe it’s not the game, maybe it’s your expectations?

I guess sheep will take care of you and your family are doing good on their own and I don't know what to do with the game but I think I am going to be nerfed and the bread is the best thing I can talk about that I have for you even though I have to go back to school but I'm not sure if you want to go to the store and get a few things but I will be in Portland and you can get the chance to go to bed then I guess sheep will take it out and get it tomorrow and I will be home in about that time I guess sheep
This man is spitting facts. I can really relate to this not gonna lie. It addresses so many problems with dbd and the food that it provides. It also brings up a good point about sheep. I’m in, I don’t know about anybody else.

this video is about fighting games. but it still applies here
https://twitter.com/maximilian_/status/1405975932423204866
people are allowed to just play a game for fun without trying to improve.
Yeah I get it more now. It just really bugs me that the only way they have fun is by camping/tunneling, it would be so nice if there was a “casual” or quick play version of DBD. Like it would split the player base and increase queue times but it’s not like there would be any matchmaking in the quick play version. You could sweat in ranked and chill in quick play!
this idea has probs already been discussed before anyway ;)

Too bad, camping and tunnelling are just part of the game.
I don't like posts like this because the game itself is extremely unwelcoming as is to new players and then the community pushes their entitlement on them.
I’m not blaming it on anybody. It’s just the way it is, and I’m only making this post because the number of people camping has majorly increased recently. Also I’m kinda annoyed that new players are only winning due to camping. I want them to improve so it’s more fun for everybody.

If there are 30,000 new players to the game, why are killers the only ones adversely affected? Are you saying all 30,000 new players are killers? The game is way easier as a beginner for killers than survivors.
no I’m not saying that. I always mentioned newer survivors.

I love watching people play Ghostface, and he is definitely a killer you can improve a lot on (big skill ceiling). Plus Ghostie is super fun :)
-
I agree with most of this, but what I can say is he can use his whip far more than pyramid heads right of judgement.
You can hit survivors in the open far more easily with the whip + the whip is easier to pull up and get a quick hit.
its also a lot easier to hit survivors over objects with nemesis than pyramid head because it’s a lot less predictable!
of course nemesis still needs a couple of buffs in some areas (speed boost on infection, zombie detection, useless Addons) but other than that I think he is in a not bad spot for the post-release! 😁

A lot of people say that builds/perks etc are “toxic”. It really isn’t. Toxic is just a word thrown around far too easily, and doesn’t mean anything at this point,
If the build works for you, don’t worry about what people say.

Yeah, this happened to me the day before yesterday.

(If you wonder about the quality, this was made with my phone cause i wanted to show it to my gf)
As you can see, im standing right above her and can't pick her up. Probably as @TumbleElf said because of the locker, because when she moved a tiny bit it was enough to pick her up.
Not a clip but pretty much a screen shot, if thats enough for you @ShinobuSK .
That’s exactly what happened to me!

Noob Saibot or Baraka from mortal kombat

I actually hate coming up against plagues. I struggle to dodge her vommy and I hate the fact that they disable half of your healing perks (especially since I lean towards healing perks). She is fairly balanced and I have chases that last with her it’s just when she has corrupt purge chases can end so fast.
-
This sounds weird but Bill and Ted would be kinda cool in dbd as survivors. There not really horror but it could still work ;)
-
Yeah I’ve felt like it before, especially when your downed and your in a bush, the killer just knows where you are and they don’t even have deerstalker!
when I play killer it’s mainly grunts of pain that give their location away. Try running iron will (doesn’t work very well on bad killers that don’t know how to utilise grunts of pain) but if it’s happening often iron will is a really good perk.

People who play both sides can be more empathetic but they can also be massive hypocrites as well, i.e. they play survivor and scream about being camped and tunnelled for being downed more than once in the same match then switch to killer and facecamp someone at 5 gens. So sadly it's not automatic
Yeah I play both sides and I can totally relate to that. Whenever I get tunnelled I get so pissed off (especially when they give you a little slap after putting you on a hook), then when I play killer you end up camping/tunnelling if you have a crap start. Just the way it is 😅
-
im working on a gen
David comes up to the gen and misses a skill check, dead hards away, fast vaults a window and jumps in a locker. I couldn’t stop laughing even though I got so annoyed by it 😌

So? By the time she passed the pallet, you already reached the next one.
pallets arent always close together, especially in open maps or dead zones with just 1 pallet. especially if its a good spirit they will get to you before you get to the next loop

You loop her like every other killer and when she starts standing still behind a pallet, you run to the next one and drop it.
But she can hear me and see my scratch marks

The idea I had a long time ago is to change her to be like Bubba/Blight. Give her charges that she has to use to keep extending her phase time, and each time she uses a charge her husk moves to that location. On the first activation, give her a distinct audio cue. Probably give a button to cancel her phase early instead of having to run out the current charge's time too.
It'd make her standing still mindgame nonexistent and give the survivor what they need: information to act upon. Plus it'd look creepy having her husk constantly shifting positions.
That’s a really good idea!

Honestly what does take skills in this game? Do you think running around in a circle as survivor takes skill? Even when I first started this game as survivor a couple gameplay videos was all it took for me to loop killers well. This game is not meant to be competitive it’s meant to be fun that why it does not have an Esport. You are not meant to survive every game or 4K every game. Players in this community need to learn to have fun and stop worrying about winning every game.
and thats kind of my point. winning is fun, but having a well balanced match is more fun, even if i die. but the spirit isnt fun to play against. there isnt many ways to counter her if she just stands still at chase. 90% of my chases with her end in getting hit from her phase, or just "mindgamed"
the nurse can be outplayed because you get input from her sound queues and you can see when she is teleporting. the nurse is more balanced in my opinion even if she can shred teams super quickly. atleast there is some form of counter play with the nurse.
-
"just gitgud already."
how?
how do i counter the spirit? what does "gitgud" mean in the context of versing a spririt in solo queue?
-
My proposal is just to fix the ability to just stand still during chase. removes the whole skill element of looping.
damn they dropped a pallet... imma just stand still and wait
maybe an indication for when she is actually phase walking. it still leaves the main idea behind of her power, but stops the skilless parts.
for example when she is actually fazing her husk doesnt move and just stands there without twitching.
-
@HollowsGrief said:
Because she isn't overpowered and doesn't have an overly high kill rate?
again i dont want to turn this into a rant, but i do feel she is quite powerful. she can just stand still at chase and you have no idea whether shes just standing still or phasing?
please lmk if im missing something!
-
I can partially agree with this, but survivors can be pretty powerful too.
brand new part, ds+Unbreakable is just powerful especially if half the squad is running it.
maybe killer is just feeling really easy now, but survivors are still pretty powerful.

Counterpoint, no because if specific survivors had passives that others didn't it can be considered pay to win with paid survivors having abilities regular survivors don't
What about pay to win killers? What If some killers had powers the other killer didn’t have?
the passives could be the equivalent of killer powers perhaps
-
@bjorksnas said:
Id much rather see a new category of perks of really weak / niche passives with a single new slot to use them instead of them being tied to characters
I think passives for specific survivors would give more of a reason to switch to a new survivor would could mix things up :)
its a good idea imo
