The Entity according to the Tome lore, is a being existing outside of conventional space and time. Which is confirmed since it can travel freely from universe to universe, to even different timelines in the same universe alltogether (skins and Legendary Characters)
Dracula while immensely powerful, is still a being confined to 3D-4D space. Even if he had time and reality warping powers, it would not work against a higher dimensional being.
Now if the Entity kidnapped Dr.Manhattan or something i would have several questions lol.

You realize you are playing Dead by Daylight?
The game where you are a glorified punching bag for casual gamers?
In the devs own words ''go play something else''
-
Crashed when hooking a surv as Pinhead too. Also used iri Lament Configuration and Torture Pillar.
-
You are making an extremely wise decision and i hope you stick to it. Just so you know though, the developers do not care in the slightest, since they have at least 15,000 other people buying Feng Min skins.
Right now im stuck in a match i should have won due to a game breaking bug with the Twins, that the developers did not care to fix since their release. That should tell you about how much they care about a person leaving their game to play something else.
-
Yeah same thing for me.

Gen placement is really poor in this game, if they fixed the minimum distance from gen to gen it would drastically improve the game.
I agree i find 3-gen a very boring strategy. However BHVR needs to make sure that patroling the gens will not be even harder than it already is.

I did not mention disabled drone speed, even though the max you can practically get from that is 4%, my mistake.
I did not mention stbfl or brutal since clown can use the exact same perks.
All skull merchant has over clown is gen defense, there is no "balance" between her gen defense and chase. Yes, her speed in loops is kinda nutty and can throw off survs, but if all they do is just prethrow safe pallets, you are useless, whereas clown is almost guaranteed a hit with bloodlust and double bottle if they play correctly in every loop. No survivor player ever mentions her chase potential when complaining, just her gen defense. It's her mosst powerful aspect by far. They have to nerf it and buff her chase.
I cant think of a satisfying solution to this apart from reworking her power completely. I heard about people saying the drones should have another effect other than exposed, or make them not cover gens but i think this sounds like a complete nerf tbh.

I assure you, survivors don't have any issue whatsoever with her chase potential.
SM with Geographical readout + randomised strobes = 2% Haste, 5% hindered, +15% vault and pallet break speed.
Clown with double bottle WITHOUT ANY ADDONS = 15% hindered, 10% Haste.
with addons, clown can get +4% more hindered, lasting way longer than SM's 3 seconds hindered that cannot be extended. Yet you don't see a thread every single day about how clown is so good and not like other M1 Killers. She is really not as "relentless" as you think she is in chase. What makes her shine is her snorefest gen defense.
What people actually take issue with SM is the fact that her 3 gen counterplay is super super boring and long. No team wants to play tag pressuring 3 gens and running away once she gets within 20 meters, with games possibly lasting upwards of 40 minutes. At that point, even if they win, the game is just not enjoyable. That's why you see almost everyone DC or kill themselves on hook the second they see a drone.
She needs to be fixed immediately, with more power in chase and less 3 gen delay.
You forgot about the extra haste you get from the disabled drones and the extra pallet break speed from brutal strength alongside the cooldown from STBFL. Its true though that SM's gen defence plays a huge role in her chase potential.
While clown is a beast in chase his haste bottles are considerably harder to use in a tile and have the risk of speeding up the survivor as well. Also he cant defend generators like SM so chasing is all he has unlike killers like Pig or Wesker who at least have some type of second objective.
I do agree that 40 minute games are boring but that usually happens when SM's religiously defend only the 3 gen area and refuse to chase outside it. Its a necessary evil cause without a strong chase all she has left is being a gen babysitter. So unless they completely rework her, there needs to be a balance between her chase and generator defence capability. So far i can only reliably chase as her using this particular build.

Even without those add ons and perks she can be really fun!
I try more of a hit and run approach with her and using her drones with all kinds of formations that fit the current situation.
Sounds interesting! What kinda perks/addons do you normally use on her?

Spacing is important for general readability, it helps a lot of people.
I would totally agree with you if was writing a 10 page essay.

Tells you what exactly?
That being miserable for a non-issue rather than contributing to the conversation is typical for the community of this game and online in general.

I don't even need to rely on a 3 gen to win when playing her. The few times I do play her survivors just run up to me and start t-bagging and point at hooks. Not joking either.
NA servers? Cause here in my region (EU) people usually DC because of tunneling/camping rather than specific killers at least.

Can you please find the enter key on your keyboard, thanks.
Complaining about such a small text, tells me all i need to know about you as a person.

It its actually funny though...no one dodged my Skull Merchant yet and the matches lasted the typical amount (maybe 6 minutes longer) since i dont babysit gens and refuse to move and i actually go and harass survivors working on other ones. From the responses i got it seems survivors do not really want to use strategy and just want to rush gens and ''loop'' behind an extremely safe tile. Of course if the killer has antiloop like Artist its hold shift+W or predrop god pallet. ''Boring'' in this community is code for ''this killer cant be looped normally and i cant just rush gens so this is bad'' Some of my most fun matches were trying to mindgame nurses and spirits.Looping a poor Sadako that decided to tunnel me for 3 gens while kinda fun was ultimately not exciting since there was nothing she could do in a map like Borgo with 12 safe pallets. I personally find slugging builds boring since i usually just stare at my bleeding body for 3 minutes but to each their own.

MMR according to devs (yes, it's old info, but there was no announced update from devs - so I presume this info is still correct) is based solely on how much you escape or die. Like sure - there were adjustments of how much you gain/loose depending on who you play against and how good/bad your team did (like e.g. if everyone but you escape, you loose less MMR). But you still should only gain MMR if you escape and loose MMR if you get killed.
So if devs didn't screw with how MMR works now (changed it and never told anyone) and your information is correct - then you should reformulate your first post = you won't play until MMR works in the way they announced.
Now that i think about it I did hear that BHVR lowered the soft cap so that high MMR players can go against lower MMR players and not be forced to sweat every match. If thats the case then thats a pretty bad decision and should be reworked. Im not a fan of putting an MMR system in a completely unbalanced game but ill take the MMR we originally got than the one we have now for sure. If im unable to get past silver 3 rank on survivor due to not pipping because of the match ending in a 4k, 12-8 hook , at 3-2 gens left, then thats a huge problem.

Your experience SCREAMS MMR is actually NOT working. If it was and you had 96% kill rate when playing survivor, you would soon get MUCH weaker killers. So your stats are wrong and you escape way more often then you say you do, or you played too few games for your MMR to adjust, or MMR is not working and you suffer for it
I escape MAYBE once per day (most often not, and hatch does not count for MMR) and that only happens cause the killer we matched with left so the system quickly got us another one who was more often than not a chill 500 hours player. I play this game every day for the past months and got almost 1,000 hours so im not new. If MMR truly did not work i would be matched with completely random players every day, from the baby nurse that cant blink to the 5,000 hours blight with alc ring and iri tag. However since i consistently get matched with people far beyond my skill level even though i die in the vast majority of my matches tells me that either something is truly wrong with the way SBMM works OR that a huge portion of the playerbase left and mostly veterans are playing this game at this point.
-
Winning with killer (3k as thats when your MMR increases) in my experience relies on so many factors, that it would take quite a lengthy post to sum it all up. The two biggest contributing factors that decide the match though imo, is if you are playing against a competent SWF or a competent soloQ team, and if you are strategically tunneling and proxy camping to force people of gens. Of course your killer of choice and your skill with him matters too as well as maps and perks.
-
Yes same for me too. Both killer and survivor.
-
Yep same thing happened to me when i was was playing Myers and was almost looking at a 3k. Whats weird is that supposedly making it so Steam Networking never shares your IP for faster connections was a fix, but it did not work in my case.
-
As many people pointed out its not a hostage situation BUT imo this is something that should be looked at. This goes well beyond the point of typical BMing such as teabagging and hitting on hook. I could understand if he went for the Evil incarnate achievement but the reason he gave me for doing it is because a survivor put on the red forest offering. Whats more he already won the match and he got a good amount of points. I dont think there can be any defence for this behavior and im a killer main that understands what its like being on the receiving end of BMing.

@Mr_K said:
So it's ok for you not to give up but it's holding the game hostage for the killer not giving up? Yes, you could of done gens. In order for the killer to come to you they would have to leave the hatch or close it. Don't go crying victim because the killer wanted some extra points when you wanted to escape for extra points.
Lol he already got massive amounts of points from hooking and killing every survivor (no one gave up btw) while i got a paltry sum from generator completion and a bit of chasing. Plus he already WON the match (3k is a win as the devs stated) he was just salty that one survivor put on a red forest offering (not even a terrible map tbh if it was garden of joy id get it) so he purposely made the match as miserable as possible (thats what he stated).

Mm not really. If you did the furthest gens you'd have ample opportunity to hide and bypass him to get the hatch. You had multiple avenues.
I guess it was a 50/50 yeah..Still people should not be allowed to do that kind of play but unfortunately thats something BHVR has control over.

You did have the option to do generators. No need to report, open support tickets or anything like that.
He wasn't holding you hostage in any way. He was just annoying because "reasons"
Even if technically thats true this is something that should never happen. No wonder so many survivors DC if people legit play like that.
-
@HoodedWildKard said:
Wasn't technically holding it hostage. 25 minutes is more than enough for you to do all 5 gens. And you couldve found gens out of his sight line.
Don't get me wrong it's extremely unfun, toxic play. But not against the rules.
Technically i could but he would know where i was thanks to the gen popping. Maybe the better discussion would be if the EGC should be completely reworked i guess..
