  • He gets to ignore a few of the perks while unhooking because he doesn't really have anything else at all going for him. If the chainsaw didn't down a Survivor instantly he'd literally just be an M1 Killer with a very large punishment (it's a free escape in most cases) for a fairly minor speed boost, which is completely absurd to ask for a Killer to become. They can't even just make him hit one Survivor with less of a tantrum either, since Hillbilly exists.

It is very unfortunate that this greatly rewards toxic behaviour obviously, but that's an issue with that specific Bubba main's bad attitude and the general animosity in the community, not specifically the Killer itself. Really, all you can do is gens and leave the poor soul to die on the hook if you see a Bubba facecamping (please don't leave friends hanging just because the match has a Bubba though, he may not be camping).

Near the middle of the map generally, whatever is the busiest most high traffic area usually whatever the main structure of the map is.

You then kinda herd people into it.

That's pretty obvious, I was thinking more along the lines of what sort of places to put them. Like whether it's worth trapping pallets like Trapper (Survivors tend to see the trap spring and then vallet to safety for me) or bothering even putting traps outside of your chosen spot? I do appreciate the information though, thank you.

I guess you choose a "kill zone" based on gen placements and shacks, then just chase Survivors so that they're injured somewhat and are less likely to survive your traps.

tips? dont chase as hag jsut set a web zone around the gens you want to protect, thats how u play hag OR u could use agitation and bring someone to bassement and you already won the match if they try go for the save, and they will because they cant resist those altruism points, run corrupt intervention to have time and then save the best for last, those are 2 mandatory perks to play hag at high level, then u can run make your choice wich is a good bet on her and finally u can run whatever u want, i like to run agitation... wich is good not only to get people to bassement but to YOUR ZONE OF TRAPS, wich is as important. hag win games when she already preemptively placed traps... if u dont place them u wont win unless they are bad AF, in that case u would of won anyway. how to place them? Michi has a nice guide on his YT channel, people usually say he is the best Hag main out there were he explains the different levels of traps...

Very helpful advice, thank you. Though I don't think I'll be a basement hag, if I wanted to bully Survivors I'd just be a Basement Bubba and bask in the hate so to speak. I never want to bully Survivors though, just chase and kill.

  • Try and outplay each other with fun builds or strategies that aren't the meta? Those are always my favourite moments. When I do some nonsensical gamble with perks/strategy and get a hit from it, or when a Survivor pulls something fresh with his odd choice of perks or escape tactics and makes me do a double take.

I know why people use the meta and it's a perfectly valid reason. I am not judging anyone for doing it either, but it gets stale after a while even if you haven't been playing for the game's entire lifecycle.

  • Gen rushing and doing only gens are not the same thing, though I guess it's a pretty fine line in most people's minds. If you don't currently have any other objectives and don't mind risking certain Hexes (you can't complain about NOED and ignore totems at the same time though), then just hop on a Generator.

What else are you supposed to do? Just twiddle your thumbs? It's the Killers job to pressure the map and it's not your fault that the developers screwed over a few of the Killers by not giving them any map pressure.

gives a break??? I am not asking for a break but this man INTENTIONALLY sought out a 4 man slug. Wasnt just given to em. The player had crows of course shes afk. Now im not saying go easy thats that afks fault but to ALL OUT sweat and try to slug everyone thats simply the result of a salty player who is sick of losing. Swingchains jump rope Thanat and SLOPPY like this dude definitely gets bullied

You're just assuming that he was "sweaty" or whatever though. It could just as easily been using the really good perks like both Survivors and Killers do constantly, and changed up his strategy this time due to misconceptions on his part about what is happening on the map or something you weren't aware of took place. Heck, maybe he was just bored or someone on your team being "toxic" triggered this response by making him think it was a "sweaty" SWF.

There's nothing inherently wrong with slugging, morally or in game, in fact a lot of the time it's a very good tactic and for certain Killers it's almost mandatory to do so.

I really don't get people's mindsets about this game. Survivors expect Killers to use bad perks and just let them go 75% of the time because *no valid reason given*, while Killers throw a fit when a Survivor survives by using game mechanics and perks given to them because *no valid reason given*. Then they both go online and say the same horrible things about each other, while also complaining that the people they're insulting constantly don't like them and that the fanbase is the worst ever.

Or killers are ridiculously sensitive. They throw a fit over tbagging. It's dumb, but hardly something worth getting tilted over.

They are overly sensitive, and so are Survivor mains. Teabagging is just objectively rude behaviour though.

  • First of all, it's obviously the Survivors who hurt and bullied him.

Secondly, you guys can still beat him with 3 people if he gives you a break just because you're down a man and you will almost certainly teabag him to show "how much better you are" at the gates even if he plays like a good sport.

And last but not least, he might have absolutely no idea that the player is AFK in the first place.

i had a match against a Wraith in the Saloon area. It was grueling cause that map is small but me and two other teammates were doing our best. And then we had a Claudette constantly hiding in a locker. I ran right up to the killer and motion and pointed and begged him to follow me. He just downed me instantly and hooked me. And the Claudette got away through hatch.

Well, as a Survivor your gestures are the same as your taunts too. That's like getting annoyed when a Survivor runs from you, but you're playing as a Bubba emoting with his instant down chainsaw. It could mean anything.

You gotta make it obvious somehow and don't bother unless there's 1-2 people left, otherwise it just looks like you're trying to make him chase you. Try puppy eyes and looking up to them from the crouch, but also don't be surprised if they just hook you because they get points either way and a good portion of Survivors are very mean to Killers.

I was thinking this, to go the extra mile I guess you could point out in post-game chat you did it cause of the teabagging.

But yeah, good for you OP!

I may not rub it in their face or anything, like pointing at them on hook. But I may just walk by.

Don't worry, I'll help you hunt mean players if you can prove to me that they are actually not being team players and aren't just regular players doing legitimate stuff you/I don't like. For example if they're just hiding near the hatch waiting for me to kill you instead of trying to help and you show me this somehow, I'll happily kill that Survivor and wave goodbye while you use it yourself.

Infact I always follow gesturing Survivors, either purely out of curiosity or because I messed up badly and don't know where anyone is anyway. If you lead me to someone I don't think is being toxic though, I have to hook you on principle.

  • Good for you, but they're simply going to assume that you're either a bad player refusing to do those actions or that you're being toxic yourself.

  • @chronicdreamz23 said:

@Tank yes I agree with you. It is just frustrating to play as survivor now because it happens more often than it did before the update

Yeah, that's understandable. Even being camped feels better than losing to something that should not be possible. I just don't think there is any reason to attribute this to the very absurd Survivor vs Killer bonfire this community loves to throw fuel onto for no reason.

It's a bug and not the game being tilted towards one side, nobody is abusing bugs or exploits to unfairly gain an advantage here. Killers still have to land a fair hit on their screen, it's just that both sides seem to see slightly different things currently. Get mad at the developers or QA team for not checking this aspect, although I am only assuming that they have the capability to do so and that may not be fair to them either. I don't know.

That being said, I fully expect everyone to still hate each other over this. Including the Developers hating players and players hating everyone.

  • When a Killer smacks you from 5ft away from the window you just vaulted it's not because his attack now hits that far or has broken hitboxes, It seems like it's because on his screen you were still vaulting the window and he got a fair hit from his perspective. In fact, for the first few days of only playing Killer after the update I just thought I was being paired with terrible Survivors and didn't notice that there was anything wrong until I went online.

So essentially the update technically favours Killers, but they are doing absolutely and objectively nothing wrong in this situation. It's just unfortunately broken and there's nothing a Killer can do to stop this annoyance to the Survivors, short of just loading in and watching you earn bloodpoints while he gets nothing.
