No. Everything plays out normally. The killer sacrificed me and I'm done looking at the tally screen and am ready to move on...
But the game's not. Part-way through loading back into the survivor lobby, I'm taken back into the tally screen and told that I've been disconnected from the host.
I mean sure it's a bit inconvenient but doesn't it take just 10-20 seconds to leave again?

Still happening.
I died. I get taken to the tally screen. I press Y to continue. I'm on a load screen...
Then I'm back on the tally screen. The game's saying I've been disconnected from host. I dismiss the message and press Y to continue, again!
It's annoying...
Imagine you left work, your boss calls you back to the office so you turn around and go back, and then when you get there he tells you your shift is over and you can go home. TF??
does the game not count or something?

Depending on how well the Singularity is executed it has the potential to either be quite a fun killer or another Skull Merchant. I'm still excited to actually play the Singularity.
Yeah, unique idea just needs to be executed correctly.

It's probably something similar to what they did with Dredge and Sadako last year, they released the dredge with a similar but improved power of sadako, they might want to replicate this this year as well
Yeah problem is Sadako and dredge can't choose where they can teleport exactly, unlike killers like the hag, but being able to place those at rapid rates with infection downsides + sloppy butcher will just be annoying.

I don't think it'll be quite as bad. Obviously just going off the description we have so far. What makes Skull Merchant so oppressive in a 3 gen is the mixture of delay+lethality+stealth mixed into one.
Now, if the Singularity can just Hag swing off those teleports and infinitely place those Biopods near gens, yes, we're going to see 30 minute games with Sloppy Butcher.
I have a hard time believing BHVR is dumb enough to power through and release SM 2.0 while at the same time being self-aware enough to not even bring SM up in the anniversary stream. If this is SM 2.0, then they truly, unequivocally do not understand how their game works. I hope that's not the case.
Hopefully so, would be actually just mind boggling if he turns out like the SM, wouldn't even be mad just disappointed

Literally the third 3 genning killer in a row. This anniversary is going to flop so hard my god.
Well, only time will tell

Well we’ll just have to see how it looks, but based off BHVR’s track record with killer design, I’m assuming that it will be another setup zoning killer.
Hoping not, don't want a month of running into constant 3 gens

EMPs spawn around the map as a new limited item, similar to Wesker/Nemesis, and can be used to disable the biopods before infection.
Good idea to have a limited item to disable them, but if we consider them similar to the skull merchants drones, wouldn't the recharge speed just be way too fast for that to be effective

Seems more Plague mixed with Hag. Instead of vomit on objects it's the biopods infecting nearby survivors and they can spread it to other survivors. Then instead of Hag teleporting to trap that was set off its Singularity teleporting to Biopod.
Thats true, I wasn't entirely focused on the "Infecting" part, but now that I think about it, it provides for even more powerful 3 gen potential.

I wonder if the killer has to manually control the biopod to aim and shoot survivors. If so, a portion of console players just won't enjoy playing this killer.
something similar to trickster + pinhead?

Sounds like hag/skull merchant, especially with what little we saw.
Hopefully theres some way to destroy the biopods, otherwise it would seem like another 3 gen killer

I think a chat wheel with set of phrases would be great. Make it so there's a cooldown so players can't spam it.
Yes, exactly what I had in mind

no more dead hard , DS and most killers remain without buffs

Pretty, but it shouldn't be dubbed, because if it were, I can already imagine the toxic one that would start spamming these phrases just to annoy. It's a cool idea, like every online games have this features, so why not in dbd?
Exactly, most games have something similar in order to encourage interaction between players, DBD certainly lacks that.

I find that Clairvoyance is an extremely underrated perk, you can use it while tapping so you can have it for the whole game and practically guarantee finding the hatch everytime.

My solo queue comfy build: Windows of Opportunity, Kindred, Botany, Leader.
All the info I need in solo queue + healing is much faster both ways.
i tend to use an exhaustion perk to get me out of situations when im in solo queue, cool build though!

I doubt they think she's fine. It's probably more that they don't really know what's wrong with her. A killer that gets that much negative feedback cannot be fine.
Although I understand your sentiment, we cannot really expect players that bought her to be fine, if she's pretty much unplayable because everyone would dodge lobbies against her.
deserved to anyone that plays her tbf, if you find it fun to sit camping 3 gens for an hour straight just to get disconnected then deserve to your money ripped straight out your hands.

@Xernoton said:
In other words: "You don't have to rework her as long as I don't have to play against her."
A rework is definitely in order. There is enough in her kit to design 3 killers and that would probably be the better option.
Will definitely take over a year to rework her, devs probably thing she's perfectly fine. Would rather just not play against her if im honest

@GannTM said:
At that point you might as well just delete her because I’d be perplexed to see anyone want to ready up for a match even if they knew the killer was Skull Merchant lol.
Honestly, the killer could go afk after they set up a 3 gen at the start of the game, come back when there's 1 gen remaining and still probably win the game, her kit is ridiculously stupid
