I got it too. Hit with M1, down with knives. If you're using knives for both health states, you're obviously not very time efficient.

I also think the games RNG is bugged to give survivors a key every match from a chest with or without plunderers as i have found keys almost every time i searched a chest.
I'd say before this, it was a good 55-60% chance a key spawned in a chest in my matches. It's maddening. I just think keys should only be on the blood web. Killers can't find a mori and instantly kill people during a match. Even with Devour, you have to put in work to get it to 5 tokens. There's no work in opening a chest and gen rushing.

And it not like you force the 3 gen right? They just mindlessly pop gens to have hatch appear because there arent any consequences. They have a key so no need to worry
To be fair, gen rushers before all this would 3 gen themselves against me 85% of the time. I know sometimes I'm just not applying enough pressure when I'm getting rushed, but when a rush usually ends up like that, that's just bad survivor play. And then I get the hate mail for taking advantage of what they gave me and easily patrol the 3 gen. That's why this bug has Franklin's always on right now. Too many got away when many of them didn't deserve it.

I've already lost 4 games since the "buff"
How exactly are you playing him? If you're trying to get both health states with just blades, you're being horribly inefficient and making things much harder for yourself. Hit with the bat, down with the blades. If you can, take to Hawkins and use Ricohet Blades with Melodious Murder. I adepted before the buff. Hitting with M1 first then downing with blades is the way to go. Be aware of quick unhooks after you walk away. If you're not far from the hook, then the person unhooking is most definitely exposed by Starstruck. Go back and get the easy down and hook.

Tell people to be one hit down... yeah, sure. Makes sense.

Better but not good. The main problem is how easy it is to hide behind something and make him useless. Sure he can eventually throw enough knives to injure/down you but as a survivor your job isn't to win chases but prolong them as much as possible which is easy to do.
One thing ive noticed going against him (and it might be the inexperience with trickster) is how people let obvious m1's go in favor of getting some more knife throws. There are times they could've easily hurt me with a melee attack but end up getting looped for another minute because they wanted to get those last 2 knives instead.
This. I get pretty annoyed at how people play him because it's so inefficient. M1, then down with knives. It's not hard. Instead they just spam knives for both health states and while they are getting downs and hooks, it's at the cost of time and gens.
I also find PWYF a must run perk on him. But there's so many players that don't even understand how Myers' Perks work that I have no faith in the majority to do it right. I went against a guy running Dying Light that tunneled me, the obsession, to death before hooking anybody else.

BBQ promotes healthy gameplay by not camping due to aura reading part and not tunneling (at least at the start) for the BP stacks... People just salty because they want more BP too, and I don't blame them since grind is massive.
But be salty towards the game, not towards the one of the few perks that are balanced like the BBQ is
Survivors can literally run WGLF and PT for a crap ton of bonus BPs. That's a 200% increase. But yeah, let's complain about a killer utilizing A SINGLE PERK.

you expect no one escapes thought the hatch ? u killers always crying about not getting 4K
Dude, I've had three survivors find 3 keys in ONE match. Stop defending broken messes. If this was something that affected survivors, you'd be crying your eyes out. Every game people are finding keys unless I bring a purple coin. Then it's possible I knocked out some key chests. But keys shouldn't be spawning in chests period. That needs to stop.

Yamaoka already got reworked.

So, if someone gets unhooked, runs away and then tries to heal themself, just to get downed and uses ds, that was abusing it? I think this is a far stretch.
Please don't pretend this was the only way DS was used.

This literally isn't going to affect me. It's been so long since I ran a Forever Freddy build. I do think it's BS they're taking that away because gen speeds are still pretty fast with all the Perks and stuff to help boost repair speeds. It's kind of like how they took exhaustive bottles away from Clown. No reason to. But again, there's better builds to run on Freddy. Anybody worth their salt isn't going to be affected.

I played them extensively and honestly I'm not against this change. Victor is a slugging machine and once his snowballing starts it's very hard for survivors to stop it, I've seen so many survivors try to kick Victor just for the animation to cancel because they had no time...
Which means they weren't close enough, didn't react in time, or were out of position. All of those things are the survivor's own mental errors. So why is a killer being nerfed for a player's ineptness?

Still a thing for some reason. Many games are like this too. Completely negates the appear offline system feature, which has been around since PS3/X360 days.

I use Pop with Thrilling Tremors and Tinkerer on Freddy. Come at me, bro.

This is when Mad Grit and Forced Penance comes into play.

One thing I rarely see commenters acknowledge is that this is about to be a 5 year old game that even with the graphic updates, is operating on the same engine, which means it's almost 5 years worth of coding changes.
Coding is the biggest hurdle in long term multi-player games. Many people don't even recognize that. Changing one thing can and will break something somewhere else. Sometimes it's super obvious and they catch it before release. Many times its something miniscule or something that isn't easily fixed without creating a snowball effect.
At this point, coding is a nightmare due to the age of the game and the amount of content it has. But if they start from scratch on a DBD2, they lose ALL the licensing, which is fine because they have enough original material to work with. But it's also a bummer because the licensed characters are part of the fun of the premise of this game. They had to renegotiate licenses for the game when it was ported to new platforms it wasn't on before, even if it's the same distributing company like Microsoft and Sony.
Once Unreal Engine 5 becomes available, they really need to consider if it's possible to make the switch, this way they can have a clean slate in a way as everything would be freshly coded. It'd be a long process, but it's either that or a crash and burn death for this game down the line. Bugs are becoming more frequent because of what I outlined in the beginning of the post. So yeah, things are only going to get worse, especially with COVID protocols still in place.
