I mained him on PS4 too, really fun to play - he snowballs insanely quick. His demon dash takes time to learn to use properly, I would check Scott Jund's (who mains him) video as suggested above. The actual one-shot charge on the demon strike is short so don't hold it for too long.
Keep in mind, the first hit in a game is crucial and good survivors will drop pallets early to stop you from getting blood orbs at the beginning of the game. So M&A or the reworked tinkerer are good on him. Infectious lets you snowball as does BBQ/Thrilling.
@2ndBusiestmusicnerd has given probably his best build.

Spirit - strong killer with decent perks

-Is there any way to change sensitivity on PS4? (I can't find it)
-Do you have to buy perks you don't want in the bloodweb to clear them out for other perks? (I can't seem to find the answer on the wiki and other day I had the same perk I didn't want for 5 tiers in a row and it seemed I had to buy it to clear the way for another perk)
-Is it too hard for the devs to add more emotes like a thumbs up gesture etc? 4 years and only pointing, come here gesture or crouching seems kinda lazy.
I play on PS4 - you can change the sensitivity for killer and survivor individually. You have to go to the settings screen. Link below.

In this current state, as killer you either need to run builds that let you find and down survivors fast or run builds that slowdown the game as much as possible, a mixture of both is better.
Depends on the killer as well. Usually I go for two gen/slowdown perks and two perks to help in tracking or chase.

Possibly, though BHVR seem to move at a slower pace.

Applying torment is unreliable, really hope they change it so that punishment of the damned applies it too (or only the caged survivor has their torment removed - not the uncager).
-
Aren't we supposed to be getting an early game EGC? I agree gen speeds are way too quick, but don't think increasing the time is the answer.
-
Overheat will stay as they aren't going to remove it after they spent so much time implementing it - need to make if far less punishing though.

Pyramid Head is super strong in 1v1, sort of like deathslinger. It's on him to make mistakes in the chase for you to truly get ahead, but..
- Watch for his telegraphs and pay close attention to what direction he's looking while using his power. That's where the death line is going to go.
- Funnily enough, breaking LOS and holding W for distance can work wonders if he misses with his power (and even if he doesn't this can be good).
- Dropping pallets or taking vaults within a certain distance of Pyramid Head guarantees that he either gets a power hit or an M1 - it's a super fked up situation. You either get hit, or you get hit. Kind of like deathslinger's zoning, he does something similar to gain distance at almost no cost.
- Do generators. Yes, like nearly every other killer in the game, Pyramid head sacrifices everything for his chase potential. Gen rushing him works just like it does vs other killers.
He's not an easy killer to face, and honestly, even the best survivors will have a difficult time running a good Pyramid Head.
As a PH main this is more or less the right thing to do. Plays kind of like the Plague - keep distance as much as possible and don't commit to one loop, break LOS and move to another tile.

Outplayed is subjective. With faster movement speed, bloodlust, and hit detection on the killers side anyone can get a down. The idea is that earns you one hook, but I can see to you one outplay = one sacrificed survivor 🙄
Both sides can outplay on another I am not speaking for one side. I play solo Q survivor and killer - the two most frustrating roles in the game.
Btw hit detection isn't always on the killer side - consoles are so poorly optimised that close range whiffs happen quite frequently (fps drops). Being 0.6 m/s faster takes at least 20 seconds to catch up (nearly half a gen when 2 survivors stack) after hitting a good survivor not even counting the subsequent looping (or the chase time prior to the hit) - play on Midwich against a OoO and see where faster movement gets you. Cutting off the survivor is the actual strength a killer has barring high mobility killers.
I am not a fan of the current bloodlust mechanic either - feels unhealthy for both sides. Would be nice if the survivor could get a prompt when it procs so that they could loop/vault/drop pallet accordingly.
No one likes to be one hooked - you are reaching by saying that is what I think. I could say you aren't offering anything about the killers side so you must be an entitled survivor main, right? [Rhetorical question]

How does new DS reward you for being outplayed? If you get unhooked and the killer is nearby what on earth are you meant to do?
Sprint burst or dead hard sure, but not DS
You were outplayed at some point to be on the hook right?
Instead of having proper mechanics to punish face-camping or hook farming they use band-aid fixes. Even worse is that DS is usually used offensively promoting bad play on the survivor's end. The killer can be DS'ed even after they have hooked someone else in the meantime which is what makes it frustrating when the whole team uses it.
I am not the best survivor but I feel cheap using it especially knowing how lame it is for the other side, nor do I use NOED. I don't think using either makes me become a better player.
Right now killers are really pressed for time especially with ruin gone (and most have low mobility), so they resort to tunneling because hooking survivors 12 times is most likely going to be a loss against even decent survivors. Hopefully the early game ECG fixes some of this.

I feel your pain. I am getting like 2 - 2 - 4 - 9 at rank 11/12 on console - don't play as much now though PH is now my main (roughly 60/40 killer to survivor split). There seems to be always a low rank mixed in with high ranks to cheese the already broken matchmaking system.
I don't know why people are moaning at you for using NOED and don't talk about what the survivors brought. DS, UB and NOED are all freebies that reward you for being outplayed which is crappy game design.
I have also noticed a lot more tunneling and camping after the ruin changes on solo survivor Q. I guess that is from killers being on a even shorter time frame to get kills before the gens pop. Wish they skipped a chapter and focused on game health solely. Both sides need changes to make it more enjoyable for each side.

The rescuer shouldn't have their torment removed (only the caged survivor should).
