What? The mobile version is the same as the other versions, the only difference is that it meets the mobile requirements to run it, such as graphics and control.
Same gameplay, same characters, same maps, same rules, so how is the mobile version so different from the other versions?
What harm would it do if this visual cue was carried over to other versions of the game? Nothing!
Typical, ignoring the points you know you cant refute. A mobile game is a mobile experience, hence why aids are put in. Spirit's power isnt a CORE MECHANIC, it doesnt need an aid.
"What harm would it do if this visual cue was carried over to other versions of the game? Nothing!"
If you really have to ask this, you only care about nerfing killers so you dont have to learn to play against them.
By your own logic, then im sure you're okay with survivors having their auras revealed constantly while they are in chase. It's only fair! You lose nothing! Visual and hearing impaired killers need this aid! It totally won't be used by everyone else for advantage or anything… /s

I saw in the mobile version that there is a visual indication when playing against the spirit, and it looks like a red curved line that increases in intensity the closer she gets to you, and this curve tends towards the killer.
So I think it's also right to add that to this version as well and then it's fair to face her.
No…. mobile is an entirely different game that has to be balanced differently precisely because people arent sitting there with proper headphones, speaker and other hardware.

What is the problem that I asked for?
I didn't say that sound is not important, you may not know that you can play this game without a headset and just use the screen soundAgain, not using headset to play does not mean that you cannot hear the game sound.
Can the game be played without sound? Yes, it will take some time to get used to.
Next time make sure to read the entire post before jumping to the reply button.
You really here advocating people should play on monitor/TV speakers? If you think sound is important than you WOULD use a headset, or failing that a proper set of speakers set up properly to give correct directional audio feedback.

I think some of you forget that some people can’t hear as well as you might be able too. They shouldn’t have to lose because a disability
We don't, but its unreasonable to ask for the entire game to start being designed around specific disabilities and affecting everyone elses enjoyment. It's not realistic at all because it VASTLY limits design creativity and game balance for, lets be honest, a tiny minority of people who might have a few specific problems.
I am all for reasonable aids (such as the visual terror radius) but asking for things that are an obvious nerf that EVERYONE can use to gain an advantage is unfair, in this case to spirit players having their power telegraphed. Now imagine you can hear properly and also have visual cues to her phasing.

You're the one holding the game hostage by choosing to not participate in your objective and end the game. A definition is a definition, it doesn't change to suit your interpretation.
-
"so my only hope is to hide all match while the other teammate does nothing"
Soooo you're refusing to participate and progress the game. Ironically YOU are one of the ones holding the game hostage by not attempting to change the game state (i.e do gens).

She's fine as she is and im not looking forward to the potential gutting of her to appease the whining. She's an M1 killer with no mobility, you just get punished for looping her more than once in the same spot. It's not hard to avoid drones, its not hard to hold W to the next tile. People just don't want to learn to play against her because the standard looping tactics dont work on her as well.
-
You got your title backwards. "2v8 feels terrible compared to 1v4"
2v8 was only marginally managable because it was extrememy survivor sided if survivors had a single braincell and did gens, otherwise it was just terrible useless teammates as normal but TWICE as bad.
It should never become permament. If you don't like core DbD thats your problem.

Killer players shouldn't make dead zones the way survivor players shouldn't make 3 gens.
Killers don't choose where survivors go down, survivors are in control of that. Survivors are in control of the chase for the most part regarding where it happens. Killers dont choose hook spawns either.
Anyone against this change just wants to be able to abuse deadzones to avoid being hooked… and then complain about being slugged i guess. This was a HEALTHY CHANGE for everyone except abusers.

a thread full of suggestions on how to nerf his chase potency as if thats not just gonna incentivise 3 gen singularity even more. i'm starting to feel like y'all want hux to hold lobbies hostage like the second coming of chess merchant.
genuinely just buff emp acquisition back up, buff its range to make 3 genning harder, and delete nano gel, soma and diagnostic tool (repair) to make emps actual counterplay and most (not all, but most) of his problems on live go away.
it'll mean people will go back to whining EMPs are too strong as if its not a marker that they're playing the killer wrong, but I'll take that over the overtuned 3 gen holding garbage we have now
EMPs were already plentiful, now you have to spend like 3 seconds finishing it off, oh nooo poor survivors. They don't need any changes, they are available enough when not overused.

Maybe you should actually play the killers you moan about. He's one of the highest skill floors killers.

They'd never have two modes running at the same time.
Hopefully we just experienced WHY they don't. The split is just terrible for the game.

How about no… shall we remove some of your options for playing as well? If you all managed to get slugged you all got outplayed HARD. That's an issue with you and your team not the killer.

I know they already announced another iteration will come, but I'm worried about how long it will take. I don't want to wait until next year because 1v4 just doesn't have the excitement and chaos of those wild 2v8 games.
You hate the core game so much you think the 2v8 snoozefest was "wild and chaotic"? It was hugely skilless and boring.
Chaos shuffle was 100000x better

Lucky for you were lurk here often!
2v8 will return in the future after some iteration. We'd like to do some fine tuning and polishing before we consider the possibility making it permanent.
Please don't bring it back permanently, it causes too much divide and problems for the game as a whole as we saw during this first test. If what we just had becomes the norm many of us would straight up quit playing as we want to play killers and it was basically unplayable since 2v8 went live. The core of the game is 1v4 and it should remain that way. Just bring 2v8 back in a rotation with other modes and modifiers.
