  • Since it's a good fit because it happened about an hour ago, here's one of the cheaters who made it a little more obvious that something is wrong. He also has a console icon again and since there is no reasonable way to report these players, the number of them will unfortunately increase.

    https://youtu.be/ZqJQVNgYahk

meanwhile it is quite normal to have a cheater in a longer game session (8h).

  • True, there are many. There are also public numbers. In 2022 alone, 64,000 cheater/hackers were banned.

However, there is no real protection against cheaters in DBD. Many who use cheats mostly do so subtly as the chances of getting banned are very unlikely and it becomes even more difficult if you set your profile to incognito or simply use a "console emulator" as a platform, for example .

It would be really nice if BHVR would actively work on a solution here. The possibilities are there, there is ricochet for Call of Duty, Vanguard for Valorant and something useful could also be developed for Dead by Daylight. The problem is always, it's about the money. And since there is not really much to get here, unfortunately nothing will change here in the near future. It is a pity.

Other than that, BHVR is doing a tremendously good job, especially over the past few months as they listen more and more to the community. The balancing between killer and survivor, the music and cinematics are top notch, here the team delivers an outstanding performance. You can't please everyone in this community, but they do it really well.

Honestly it is games after games after games after games, 100% of this kind of build, insta heal and/or gen rush, sometimes a mix of both.

3 gens out during the first chase.

The 2 were almost done 2 minutes later.

How should i play this ? Explain me cause honestly, there is no way.

5 pallets 3 meters away from each others, no anti-lopp power, what should i do ?

What is the point to nerf self-healing when a survivor with we'll make it can heal you in 8 seconds, pretty much nothing while a killer needs 2,34 seconds to break a pallet ?

Tbh you are playing wesker and all he has is antiloop, a very forgiving chase power with an amazing hitbox on survivors.

Imagine getting the final hit with legion...

Basically, you should not overcommit in an unsuccessful running chase, even more when pallet spawns are really unlucky for you, otherwise the game will run out of hand very quickly.

Nevermind, I agree, there is a problem with matchmaking, especially lately, where the game knowledge of both factions are totally mismatched.

  • The real problem is that with a certain style of play, in the case of the 1000 win streak, hard tunneling "who is my tunnel out this round" and slugging is the easiest way to win the game. However, this style of play ruins the gaming experience for the other players and, if the killer is in a mentally stable state, for himself as well.

There would be a lot of options to address this issue such as the revamped Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance to reward players even more for taking the time to hook various survivors. There are also useful perks like DS that could be adjusted again so that they are also useful against chase killer, then these 3 seconds are unfortunately useless against a nurse or blight.

However, as a compensation, the Survivor page regarding Gen Proress should finally be adjusted. Prove Thyself is far too strong and basically the first 2 minutes in the game the effectiveness of repairing the generators should be reduced to something (85% of the normal value) so that killers with less mobility also have a chance and don't lose a generator despite corrupt intervention before the first chase has ended.

  • there are perks what work great agains hook campers like kindred with openhanded or reassurance / kinship to waste alot of the killers time or give other surv information if you play solo. But i agree that killers who need to camp/tunnel to be successful should get a bp punishment for doing so.

  • Yes, unfortunately that's the case. Since the game's release in 2016, more than 200,000 cheaters/hackers have been banned (64,000 in 2022 alone), props to BHVR here.

Unfortunately, since there is no usable automated ban system as cheat protection like ricochet or vangard, nothing will change in the near future.

The game is good, that's why we all play it, but it could be very good. If the hacker numbers keep going like this (like 2022) BHVR will have to prioritize it at some point. As mentioned before, the subtle cheaters are becoming more and more common.

  • Yeah it's really bad right now.

However, in the next few months, BHVR should come with a decent virus protection that is also useful. In a PvP game where there is also a hidden MMR, this should have existed for a long time and be a priority. Well better late than never.

When you see that there are even people on Youtube/Twitch who openly stream their Dead by Daylight cheats for months without consequences and even make money with it, it's good if something happens. But well-known DBD streamers like SpookyLoops and Otzdarva have often addressed this.

  • Well you just need to enter "hacker" and "dbd" in youtube, filter "within last month" and you will get about 100 results of hacking proof.

Honestly, I'm a bit impressed that this topic post is still active (2 weeks already) and still hasn't been deleted. Normally BHVR site always tries to avoid/censor the topic of hacking as much as possible.

In any case, there are now even many live streams on Twitch that stream the hacking.

It's a bit of a shame because Dead by Daylight is a really good game and it could have so much more potential with a detailed ranking system, tournament mode, etc.

In this case, however, something would have to be actively done against all the hackers and since they probably contribute positively to the sale of the product (through constant new sales of games and skins), the priority of this task is very low.

Also, bugs that are game-changing in PvP need to be addressed more timely (indestructible totems or killer bug addons like Nurse atm) and that's more of a wet dream.

Don't worry, it's a bug that disadvantages survivors and their crutches, it will be fixed by tomorrow.

good joke. As usual they did nothing and its over a week later now. Such stuff shouldn't happen in the first place and if it does happen it should be fixed as soon as possible.

Dont get me wrong. The new updated graphics do look really great but regarding the coding of gamefunctions it has been always "a pretty good job so far".

That meme is there for a reason. If such gamechanging bugs do appear in other competitive games like LoL or valorant they are fixed within hours. But not in DbD and aslong the major of people still do spent their money on skins etc. nothing will change there sadly....
