The distortion nerf wasn't just fine, it was absolutely necessary. A single survivor perk should NOT be able to singlehandedly shut down an entire category of killer perks and addons.
With that being said, I'm fine with it being buffed to 15 seconds per chase per token. Its in a really good spot now. Powerful effect, but not oppressing -

I thought everyone agreed its his weakest form?
My biggest issue with bat form is that it really screws over those who are hearing impaired. We have the visual heartbeat, which was put in for hearing impaired survivors, yet bat form allows you to hear survivors better………unless you're hearing impaired

sure but than mechanic should appear a lot slower to not affect regular chase gameplay… such as 60 seconds. the mechanic should only occur if survivor is exceptional at the chase and a problematic loop is being used. i guess being ultra-bad as killer could be the other reason.
or if one loop leads to another loop. There are several tiles in this game that are right next to other tiles. Two moderate loops next to each other is equivalent to one very strong loop

Pyramid Head still hasn't gotten an addon pass he desperately needs, but lets change these 4 first instead (three of which have already been changed multiple times).
This game is frustrating sometimes -
Killer main, here. If anything, I'd actually give this perk a WoO a buff. Since Zanshin Tactics is the killer equilivent of WoO and recently got a second effect added on to it, I don't really have much of an issue with WoO getting a second effect as well.
As for the main effect of WoO, I don't really have a problem with it. If anything, its got me to rethink how strong the blindness status effect is, and has be using some Blindness perks and addons more often -
Wouldn't that just guarantee all hooked survivors a free unhook and heal? (otherwise known as a reset)
-
How are they gonna get stats on her when her playrate drops to absolute zero?

I hate the change because distortion helped me when it came to safer saves and split pressuring gens. Now I just feel like a fish in a kiddie pool with nowhere to go lol. Saves no longer are safe and all I get is high mobility killers that are slaughtering us. I don't really know what to do. Can't try and give my teammates a chance to reset or even get a chance to play after getting unhooked. I guess we will have to see as time passes what happens overall.
"Saves are no longer safe."
I mean……they shouldnt be safe? I'm not saying a killer should be gaurenteed to get anyone right off the hook. But with that same mindset, survivors should also not be guaranteed a free reset (unhooking someone and getting them back to full health with no risk whatsoever.) -

yes it’s completely fair because killers don’t have 4 perks.. they have 6 plus powers… killer add ones have aura reveal and gen blocks plus their powers have teleport, long reach attacks, reveals and no terror radius etc..
often running old distortion you’d lose 3 tokens in 40 seconds
Then hop in a locker, or hide behind a gen, or use Object of occasion, or Off The Record, or Boon Shadow Step, or Sole Survivor, or even the current version of Distortion.
There are plenty of ways to counter aura reading in specific circumstances that you could use, but what you want is a catch-all perk that just negates aura reading in its entirety like old distortion.
-
May I ask a question? I understand that you dislike the number of aura reading options killers have access to. Thats understandable. But you you think its okay for survivors to have access to a single perk that single handedly counters an entire category of killer perks and addons?
Simply put, Distortion nerf was justified -
What Behavior did to the Skull Merchant is nothing short of disgusting.
However, there is an upside to this.A decent chunk of the community is angry about this, and are rallying behind the Skull Merchant. By trying to kill the Skull Merchant, all behavior did was make her stronger, in a way

if killer dont slug , you cant do it
if killer try to slug its normal for survivor to try to punish him
if killer try to slug and its work gg to him , if not he lose BP.
Thats a good call , its up to you to try it or not with the benefice/risk balanceThat doesn't address the scenario i stated above at all
-
@Autharia said:
I said in another post somewhere I'd like to see a point change for slugging. Something like if someone is slugged for a minutes the BP for the kill starts to lower and if they die on the ground the killer gets BP taken from them.
In the theme of you aren't supplying the entity with blood letting someone bleed out on the ground
Sounds like survivors could use this to punish killers by crawling away and hiding so the killer can't find them. The olny way to completely prevent this would be for the killer to pick up that survivor right away, which isnt always the best call. IF I feel i'm about to get flashlight saved or pallet stunned, i'm not picking up that survivor until that threat has been neutralized by chasing the second survivor in question. Then, once i get a hit on that second survivor, if they are still out positioned, I'll go for an additional hit to down them. However, the first survivor could immediately crawl and hide during this, causing me to get lower blood points. This is a lose lose situation for killers.

For the first 6-7 years, this game was overwhelmingly survivor sideed.
From them on, it slowly became more killer sided. And here we are today

With the introduction to Doritos Head 2v8 proven the idea that face camping a Entity's Cage is the best answer to this. When a Killer in ANY Trial, no matter which distance they set it as, should replace Hooks. And as soon as the killer gets that range, the Entity should shuffle the survivor away. That's it.
Couldn't that be used to the killers advantage? Like, if a killer knows theres a few survivors nearby trying to go for an unhook, a killer could just facecamp to move that survivor to the other side of the map
-
Incentives will always outdo punishments. Incentives reward good play, while punishments will just push people away from the game.
Also, the anti camp mechanic punishes FACE camping. Proxy camping is still very much viable, as it should be. If the Devs want to remove camping in its entirity, they need to find out a way to keep survivors from just getting a free unhook and heal (often called a reset) with no downside whatsoever -
@k3ijus said:
last 3 posts were calling it survivor sided, are we playing the same game? Last 2v8 was genuinely so bad for surviviors, every gameplay mechanic was reduced to trying not to get 2 tapped by the killers which is fun, is incredibly killer sided. On top of that killers ping were off the chart. The few killer games i played i won almost all of them but lost a few because of bad teammates, which by the way is exactly what soloq surviviors feel,x7. The game practically had insta hooking and basekit lightborn whilist survivios had shared sprint burst…. Its obvious to see which side had it better.
To top it off queue times for killers were 15-20 minutes, and surviviors had 400% BP bonus, imagine all of this but this time with even stronger killers
Its a bit of a mixed bag. I'be been in 2v8 games where the killers were in total sync and totally dominated us. And i've been in survivor games where we finished all the gens rapidly with only 2-4 hooks in total. it can swing either way

I think they overbuffed survivors in next 2vs8 game mode. Cause if you didnt know, killer should pick up survivor before sending them to a cage (so welcome back frustrating and annoying altruistic survivors with flashlight and pallet save). They also nerf "snowball" mechanic, so as i understand for every caged survivor gen repairing speed became increased (even in original modificator gens pop too fast). So maybe we start to have another problem, when no-one wants to play killer cause they say nothing about nerfing gen rush potential in this mode, that was the only thing killers complain in original mod.
Biggest L of the livestream is also the biggest DBD L of the year: No Freddy update till 2025. (and forgive me if I expect it to be delayed even further then that)

Honestly one of my favorite horror killers but im suprised hes not added yet, but if he ever was i could imagine him working similiar to myers but less stalking oriented and more aggressive, and his perks would probably support endgame or late game
If Jason's power doesn't involve walking through/breaking through pallets and breakable wall as if they aren't even there, then i'll be dissapointed

A low to middle A tier killer like Wesker should be the strongest killer in the game. Any killer significantly above him is too strong and horribly unfun to play against when you aren't in an organized group. Especially on these new maps that have no pallets and endless deadzones. The low end or weakest a killer should be is Bubba. If I had control over the game I would nerf Nurse, Blight, Billy, Chucky, and Spirit while buffing the C and D tier killers. Then I think we'd be in a good spot overall.
Now that Alchemist Ring was nerfed and he no longer has hug techs, I think Blight is in a more then fair state. Slightly nerf his current Iri addons and he's golden

I've been saying for a while that she should be the next celebrity survivor in DBD

Don't hard tunnel. Don't hard camp. Don't intentionally make the game miserable for the survivors.I wish this was true. Even the most recent game I played from last night, I didn’t tunnel, I didn’t camp, I didn’t slug, I didn’t bring gen slowdown, I didn’t 3 gen. I got a 2K and what did I see in endgame chat?
“L lightborn user, touch grass and learn to play”
Yup. I brought lightborn like I usually do counter flashbangs, didn’t even end up using it that game, but no, I need to “learn to play.”
There’s no way to make survivors happy. They will always find something to complain about the way killers play.
Off topic, do flashbangs have any effect on a killer that has lightborn?

His power recharges too quickly, it feels useless and unrewarding dodging his S&D (nearly impossible already) attack because he can do it again right after.
If Chucky's power recovery is nerfed, then he needs to become a 115 killer. Thats why his power recovery was buffed in the first place, because it felt awful to be a powerless 110 killer most of the game

The changes havent even gone through yet and she would probably even still do fine. Maybe not 70% kill rate but in no way is this going to kill/gut her. I think she need more nerfs but they didnt want to overnerf her so well have to see what the kr is after
Remember Mettle of Man, and Made for This? Remember how everyone screamed for the heavens that this should not reach the live game under any circumstance and that doing so would hurt the gameplay experience in the long run? Remember how there were people who literally said to give it a chance and give it some time before we jumped to those conclusions? Remember how everything we said would happen actually happened exactly how we predicted it?
This is one of those. -
Distortion absolutely needed a nerf. A single perk should not shut down an entire category of killer perks and addons
-
Have the devs buff other killers to the point of weaker killers being stronger, and you'll see more killers.
At higher ranks, weaker killers struggle, and stronger killers have a better chance at success. It's not rocket science -
Aurvivors get mad when killers run Aura perks and Gen regression. WHat are killers allowed to run without enraging survivors at this point??
-
I’m kinda blown away that anyone could ever accuse hehavior of hating survivors, when this game was heavily survivor sided for the first 6.5 years of its lifespan
-
Scott Jund did a whole video discussing this on youtube
-
just played an additional five games with nemesis with kicker tounge equiped. Can absolutely confirmed that the hindered effect is completely bugged
-
even with Licker tounge, you’re only allowed down roughly an additional .3 seconds. It’s supposed to be a 20 percent hindered effect for 5 seconds. The math just isn’t adding up here
-
My biggest issue with Xeno is that the tracking aspect of turrets makes any kind of stealth play impossible. Why even give Xeno a smaller terror radius in crawler mode when a turret can tack you from 40 meters away??
-
I'm starting to think that some survivors just don't like having strong killers in the game….
-
Springtrap's killer name must be "The Attraction" or we riot!
Also, Charlotte "Charlie" Emily, daughter of Afton's business partner Henry Emily and protagonist of the FNAF novel trilogy, should be the survivor. She was Afton's first murder victim, and while her human design is exclusive to the novels, she's in the games. Her spirt inhabits the Puppet animatronic, and she's integral to Afton's defeat in both continuities. -
I am fully against blocking maps. I'd hate for the devs to put so much work into a map, and then its never used

They could make her lounge shorter and make her tokens recharge slower
If they do that, survivors would actually make more distance from just holding W then Nurse can keep up with both blinks

With the introduction of the 2v8 game mode and the presence of near constant aura reads, the devs created the mechanic that pops up showing that your aura has been read. If I had to guess, Distortion will no longer hide your aura but rather let you know that your aura has been read and for how long, possibly having even more tokens or maybe no tokens at all since it doesn't block the aura read.
I think that this might be even stronger for the perk as you know the killer can see you and wont get caught by any long range shots at all and can actively mislead the killer by faking a direction and then changing directions after the aura read runs out.
The most requested change i've heard is "you only get tokens while being chased." I like that idea
-
I deeply miss being able to cycle through character with the press of a button

There is no more toxic part of the DBD community then FNAF haters. Just let the overwhelming majority of us be happy

I second this. In the time it takes to play ~3 DbD matches with these current queues, I can play like 10+ MK challenges in The Outlast Trials.
If they make 2v8 permanent and the queue times don’t improve, I will 100% drop DbD.
Third. I enjoy 2v8 as a fun break from regular DBD, but regular DBD is what I'm here for, and now choosing killer in either mode results in a 10-25 minute que time>
If 2v8 becomes the norm, and these killer que times remain this way because of it, I'll drop DBD permanently. If I wanted to play lobby simulator, I'd play TCM -
As much as I enjoy 2v8, it replacing 1v4 permanently is basically my nightmare scenario. I like the new mode, but don't think it should became the new standard

It's driving me crazy. 🤯
My biggest issue with nemesis is that being infected with the T-virus does nothing negetive to survivors other then being vulnerable to the whip. I'd gladly allow more vacines on the map if the virus hindered survivors in some way, even if it was as small as 'zombies move 50% faster when chasing an infected target.' Such a move would allow much more macro play from Nemesis
-
Ignoring the fact that keeping this 'feature' would punish killers for completing their only objective, the ONLY way this could work would be if gen speeds were adjusted once again. If you want killers to go for more hooks, then going for more hooks needs to be a more feasible option by default.
This also brings up an age old question: should an unhooked survivor be guaranteed a free reset? A set amount of guaranteed time where they have time to be healed to full and a chance to push their objective without fear of being chased again until someone else is chased/hooked. SHould a survivor ever feel that they ae truly safe and untouchable for a set amount of time? -
He's nemesis with a shorter ranger power and great map mobility
