Survivors and killers who deliberately throw games to lower their MMR so they can smurf are absolute trash. When you do this you are doing is actively damaging the game by making this harder for players who are less experienced to learn and have fun. The Matchmaking is already incredibly bad, we dont need this kind of garbage making it worse. This is espically true because very often players who do this will make matches long and extremely unfun against killers and survivors who dont have enough skill to actually punish them. You think a killer facecamping you is bad? How about survivors spamming speed vaulting from the other side of the map to produce an extremely loud noise that doesnt stop, taunting the killer and flashlight spamming them over and over. and mind you, a lot of this survivor sided toxicity is done with groups who refuse to do the last gen. I have a friend who had this happen to him and the survivors did this to him for 10 minutes straight. He was new to the game so there was no chance in hell he could actually punish them for doing it. He nearly quit the game because of that one experience when I told him that BHVR lets people act that way.
BHVR has actually deliberately cultivated an incredibly toxic community because they dont care to actually punish people who behave like this. When you encounter extreme toxicity like that, it actually just makes the game not fun.

Yes. Made for this is a mini bloodlust that survivors get permanently as long as they are injured. Bloodlust by comparison is only 2% more, is very temporary, and requires the killer to spend 15 or more seconds chasing you. Experienced survivors probably dont care about being injured and will just continue focusing on gens unless healing is absolutely necessary which means the downside is basically irrelevant.

Well, yeah it does. It also nerfs the holy hell out of your bloodpoints as well which really sucks. I always try to let at least 1 person go (sometimes even 2) if I absolutely dominate a game and the survivors dont do anything overly toxic. My thinking is that losing sucks no matter the side and it is never going to feel good, but, being a graceful winner and throwing the other side a bone makes losing feel a lot less bad. When I play killer I dont go out of my way to make the survivors miserable, I want the match to be fun, for as many people as possible so if im not being gen rushed and feel like I have time, I will go for chases, hooks and just in general give the survivors a fun match so that they can walk away thinking "that was a fun, no one got camped. No one got tunneled. and they even let one of us go".

Thought I'd do something different today. I was in a thread a couple days ago and someone told me that Killers couldn't put together high winstreaks. I showed them a couple, but they called me a liar, essentially.
So I went looking for the longest streaks and then today, when I saw this handy-dandy spreadsheet on Reddit by u/KitchenThroat5939, I decided to post it here and see what you all think of it. Any surprises?

I believe the artist winstreak record was recently broken actually.

I use to agree with the statement "Legion is boring" a few years back or so, but after doing a lot of testing, and a lot of public matches later, and I personally just cannot agree with it anymore.
The issue with Legion has nothing to do with Legion itself, it is entirely your teammates.
Legion's entire power based around removing Survivor's ability to group up effectively. This means that the only counterplay for Legion's power is splitting up... it's 2023 and everyone knows this.
Here is the thing about Legion. People always say "Legion is a mending simulator" and "they never dedicate to a single chase" yet you never bother to why that is? How about we take two steps back and look at what I previously wrote and maybe youll get the hint... yea... yall are grouped up.
I know a lot of people will argue that they "spread out" but how spread out are you really? If Legion is not dedicating to a single chase, or forcing you to mend constantly, then YOU (yes, YOU, the Survivor) are not spacing out enough.
Legion is boring, not because of their power, but because YOU make it boring for yourself, because YOU wont space out enough, because YOU refuse to actually learn real counterplay to Legion.
Im glad you enjoy Legion and im not going to say anything to dissuade you from having fun with him. He is a basic M1 killer, and if you like that, then thats perfectly okay. You dont need to convince me or anyone for that matter of anything. I prefer playing Artist, Wesker (who doesnt lol), nemesis and plague, but that doesnt mean necessarily that I find Legion boring. He can actually be really mean to survivors with his purple knife addon (making survivors spend an extra 4 seconds mending after you hit them with your power makes people just miserable because it takes such a long time). It's all a personal preference.

Devour hope and slugging more than likely, when you completely remove the killer's ability to recover and get back into the game in any way shape or form in the end game this is what you're going to end up with.
And let's be honest if you ever end up with base kit unbreakable, you should absolutely expect to see every form of insta kill and Mori in the game become the only meta that exists.
The more risky you make hooking survivors the less killers are going to want to do it.
And even then, Devour hope is a hex. Smart survivors will know when its being used, look for the totem and destroy it basically killing an entire perk slot for the killer for the rest of the game. Killers perk slots are WAY more valuble than survivor perk slots so the risk with using this will be very high. If it doesnt get destroyed, and the killer is doing his job, by mid game it should become quite dangerous. Permanent exposed is super nasty and just by itself could cause the game to snowball and thats only at 3 tokens. This is exactly the way hexes are meant to function, as high risk high reward perks.
That said, get any nonsense like "this perk is OP" out of your heads. Hexes are meant to be high risk high reward like this (speaking to everyone in general not you specifically, I know you never said it was OP).

Even if its effective as survivor tunneling and face camping feel actually terrible to play against. Just like as a killer gen rushing, bully squads, sweaty perks like MFT and Deli feel terrible to play against. What needs to end up happening is for BHVR to absolutly destroy all of these things.

the game needs better matchmaking. It is extremely frustrating when you can not get into a match you stand even a chance of winning because the other side vastly out skills yours. This is not just a problem with "High" MMR either. Low MMR has the same problems where you could have a brand new player playing against someone who is bad but still WAY better than they are leading to a one sided pubstomp.

I hate the word genrush. Even with the current BNP and gen speed perks/toolboxes you can’t call it genrushing. There are still plenty of ways to slow down gen progress. And stop blaming survivors doing their objectives for why killers can’t have fun. A lot of killers will camp and tunnel on 5 gens because they don’t care. If survivors didn’t have all their other items made near useless maybe they wouldn’t focus on toolboxes and gen speeds as much.
When you can do 3 gens in LESS than 3 minutes then it is your fault. There is no way you can be that stupid that you cant see how doing this might cause the killer to want to do whatever they can to catch up. So you are just being deliberately dishonest. I could just leave it at that and just ignore you and disregard the rest of what you said but I wont. Gens pop WAY too quickly. Period. You dont get to sit there and say completing 60% of your objective within the first 2 or 3 minutes of a game is reasonable and then complain about what the killer has to do to stand a chance at actually catching up. BHVR gives incentives for killers to camp and tunnel because of how far the killer gets put behind so quickly and giving survivors perks that directly encourage us to camp and tunnel. Then when killers do the things they encourage us to do they punish us for doing them. It just shows that BHVR has no idea what they are doing.

it’s hilarious how there’s always an excuse that “forces” killers to camp or tunnel. Don’t you know that every survivor is consistently solo cranking gens for efficiency and if they’re not they’re optimally running loops with made for this??
/s
Survivors can literally do 3 gens before even 3 minutes into the game. 60% of your objective. and then you guys absolutely refuse to not bring perks that actively encourage camping, and its going to be even worse next patch because of Deliverance.
-
I really really try to play fair as killer also and all that happens is I get gen rushed every game and the survivors do their best to just make the game as unfun as possible. Just so you guys know this is what really pushes killers to camp and tunnel. It is entirely a self inflicted wound.
-
Gen rush is totally unacceptable. It is probably the biggest contributing factor to why you see killers doing a bunch of unfun things and in general being really sweaty. Gen run totally destroys the ability for the killer to relax and just have fun, go for hooks do chases ect.
