I see so many people complain about this perk. I have to ask, why? I have 5 reasons why BBQ is the most healthy perk for this game:

    1. It encourages going away from the hook. Since it shows the auras of the survivors 40+ meters away from the hook, it gives the killer a reason to leave the hook and not to play in a way that’s boring for the survivors. Survivors complain about camping so much but also complain about this perk that encourages not camping? Makes no sense to me.
    2. It encourages going after every survivor. To get max stacks of BBQ, the killer has to hook every survivor once. If the killer’s goal is to get four stacks of BBQ, they are not wanting to tunnel one survivor. The same thing with my point about camping, tunneling is another thing survivors hate, yet BBQ promotes the complete opposite play style.
    3. It has counterplay from the survivor side despite being a strong perk. Yes, it does survivor mains, please don’t say it doesn’t. The counterplays are lockers, putting an incomplete generator between you and the killer, Distortion, Object of Obsession, and running one way and walking the opposite way after BBQ’s aura reading expires. Now, survivors have an option to perform these counters as there could be reasons for them not to, which brings me to my next point.
    4. It lets survivors and killers interact more. A lot of people will agree that the chases are the most fun part of the game. BBQ potentially let’s the killer begin their next chase immediately after hooking a survivor.
    5. It reduces the grind. We all know the grind is absolutely atrocious right now for new players. BBQ and to some extent WGLF seem to be such game changers in the grinding part of the game. Hopefully the grind gets fixed at some point anyway.
    1. No it doesn't. If killer doesn't see aura even of one surv it's legitimate reason to check surroundings and to camp. "Oh 30s have passed already, gonna wait till second hook stage"
    2. Wrong again. Of course it can encourage you to go after every surv but It also can encourage you to get 4k by any means and camping/tunneling will help a lot with it. So BBQ anti-camp/anti tunnel qualities are heavily reliant on killer player's decency ("tactics")
    3. Counterplay as noed counterplay just makes things worse. You actually want that killer sees your aura with BBQ. Let's say all three survs perfectly "counterplayed" bbq and hopped in lockers. "I don't see any auras. All survs must be nearby. Should check around and proxycamp that guy hard. Must be toxic swf"
    4. Not entirely correct too
    5. That's true but it is irrelevant from gameplay standpoint and survs perspective

So your post is about how great bbq as anti-camp/anti tunnel, but it really isn't so how to fix bbq?

BBQ should grants your stack only if all survivors are alive and it will be absolutely brilliant anti-camp/anti tunnel perk that promotes fair play exactly how you describes in your post. It pretty much guarantees 3 stacks in average non-campy match. BP per stack also can be buffed up to 30%. BBQ absolutely shouldn't reward campers/tunnelers how it does now

  • Killer obviously. Standing on top of the hatch, camping the locker just to get item show that killer clearly had game-hostaging intentions of toxic little man who refused to advance gamestate despite being power role and having upper hand

  • Killer adepts are fine. Also they are optional. Some achievements are supposed to be challenging. Just 4k is too easy to be achievement

  • Tracking and killing survivor is literally your job and you refuse to do it asking for free kills?

  • No cakes in survivors bloodweb so playing and leveling up survivors are pointless

  • Survivor BP gain is absolutely miserable and needs a huge buff. More points for being on hook/camped, more points for gen repairing etc

Memeing as stealthy pig i got 100k BP ez, decided to play survivor match 10k BP and camping legion for ya

  • BHVR should nerf camping/tunneling. It's out of control. Killer queues are long, survivors queues are instant. Nobody wants to play camp/tunnel fiesta games for 7k bp

  • Chase and hook survivor on the right. Then pop gen on the left. Defend 3 gen ggz

  • 8k bp 1 hook. Not a good Trapper gameplay. You wasted 80s doing nothing spamming traps instead of pressuring survivors. 1 hook and you had 2 hook-related perks. BBQ is questionable choice

  • Spine chill is fine. Stealth killers are already annoying enough. Stealth in pvp is completely unfun mechanics for opposite side

  • No LF is easy to loop and one of the weakest chasers in the game. That's why bubba players tend to camp

  • Let me expand your list

11: Tbagging, flashlight clicking, emoting, taunting are just gameplay tools to distract killer, make them to change focus, bait on chase, force them to make mistakes and lose macro pressure

12: Tbagging at the exit gates. Again nothing really toxic with it. Game is definitely lacking tools that helps players communicate with each other. That's why tbagging is universal and simple tool to do it. Survivors tbag each other thanking for unhooking, healing or just greeting. So tbagging at the exit gates is just the way to thank killer player for the match: ""gg fellow killer. thank you very much for interesting and exciting game. You did well. Good luck in the next match. Please respond with nodding". Killers shouldn't be offended by this. Please come to to the exit gates to say gg. Hiding in the basement is just rude

13: Flashlight saves, sabo, head-on, meta perks. It's just game-related tools. Nothing toxic about it.

I think we all should agree that nothing toxic can happen in dbd match. Everything is allowed. Toxicity is made up term created by sensitive people
