If you like doing those things, by all means go ahead. They're in the game for you to do, so don't let anyone stop you. If you're not interested in hearing people out because of that, then I'll simply carry on the discussion with other people.
Well you want to delete everything from this game to the point where we, survivors, cant loop, cant use insta-heals, cant gen-rush, cant open a hatch and let injured survivor from hook escape through it etc. With your vision, the game would become so boring and monotonous for survivors that they would get tired of DBD after 10 matches.

There is way too many things these forums want gone. Soon the game will consist of survivors and killers just standing there complaining until one side gives up.
Keys are not that common. I've seen two keys used in the past two months. Ill8admit that the boxes tend to produce keys in swings. I had a week where someone found a key in a chest a dozen times. That said, Ebony Mori is much more common than keys. I have dozens that sit in my inventory for mori daily on Trapper. Keys are not as common in the BW in my experience. I would be interested in the actual stats as everyone's experience may vary.
To sum up, keys are fine. Moris as well.
This. Its non-issue. Just another thread to cry about survivors. I think this game will always be slightly unfair for killers just because of the asymmetric aspect. Unless they want to make survivors completely useless idiots that wont be fun to play with.

Ignoring the discussion in favor of "sometimes you lose; leave it alone" is not constructive at all.
It is. And I will tell you something. I love unfair mechanics of this game. I love using NOED on killers. I love to patrol 3 gens as a doc. I love bringing skeleton key as survivor. I love getting insta-heals. The matches are fun and unpredictable this way. I explore new ways of playing this game rather than settling down just to make gens and then open the exit doors. Sorry if this makes you angry.

Franklins doesnt stop Survivors from just picking the key back up. Furthermore the hatch-opening mechanic is not affected by durability.
That means you have to deal damage to the key 7 times to destroy it.
Thats assuming the survivors even let the Killer do that. If the key is left on the ground until the hatch spawns, the Killer cant do anything about it.
Franklins does not counter keys. At all.
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/665078#Comment_665078
Franklin's Demise is not actually that useful against a Key unless the Survivor using it is hellbent on using add-ons that allow you to channel the Key's energy. When it falls onto the ground, that Survivor or another Survivor can just pick it up later and use it once they know where the Hatch is.
Then you will have to deal with the fact that sometimes you lose and life is unfair. DBD Devs give you a good life lesson.

I never said I necessarily wanted it so the hatch could only open when one Survivor was left. I said above that I liked the idea of having it so the Hatch insta-closes when someone uses the key to open the Hatch and jumps in.
Also, the fact that you are suggesting that Killers lobby dodge is a pretty good indication of this not actually being a "TOTAL NON-ISSUE."
Franklin Demise exists. Everything has counter.

Meta Perks are the best perks everyone uses most of the time, basically the Top 5.
Survivor--Adrenaline, Decisive Strike, Dead Hard, some people say Self-Care but those people sit in a corner while their friend dies on a hook so maybe not.
Killer--To be honest I have no idea what is considered a meta perk for Killers besides BBQ & Chili. Hex: Ruin is said to be mandatory by a lot of players, not me, so I can't see something mandatory as a meta.
The main difference between Survivor meta and Killer meta perks are that Survivor perks are 99% useful while a lot of Killer perks are either situational or just badly designed so they can't be meta.
99% survivor perks are useful? Thats absolute and COMPLETE bs.

Not a good comparison IMO. If the ranger medkit is unbalanced (and I am not saying it is), then the ranger medkit is what should be nerfed while the other med-kits are left untouched, regardless of the rarity of any of the medkits. I am not arguing that all the keys should be nerfed because some of the keys have the ability to prematurely open the hatch. I am arguing that the keys that have the ability to prematurely open the hatch should be nerfed.
Well I dont agree with you then. In your logic, the hatch could open only when one survivor is alive. I think thats wasting of an unpredictable and interesting game mechanic of a hatch. I definitely dont want to limit this game to be played in just one single way to assure everything is "balanced and fair" and nobody could complain. BORING.
Anyway, this topic is a TOTAL NON-ISSUE. The situations where multiple people escape through hatch are very rare. Unless you play against swf survivors and they purposely lead the game to hatch escape. Then again dont go to match where you can see one survivor with a map and one with a key in a lobby. Not to mention, no SWF player wants to die so the hatch will most likely spawn after all gens are done and thats really your problem, boo boo.

it makes campers lose out on 3 Kills. What more do you want?
Oh right; 90% of all 'Punish Campers' ideas want hard punishments like BP loss, respawning, or god-mode. You literally want a 4-man escape as the only punishment. Anything less is 'lol, that's no counter!'
In what sense losing points over camping is "hard punishment". You are absolutely ridiculous. Survivers lose their points over unsafe hooks, I dont know why killers should lose theirs over something equally stupid as camping.

Rarity doesn't factor into this discussion for me. I am talking about both the Dull and Skeleton Keys. The way those two items interact with the Hatch is not balanced IMO.
It should be brought into discussion. Only ultra-rare and very-rare keys can open the hatch. Thats like talking all med-kits should be nerfed because ranger med-kit exists and its ability is absolutely over-the-top. But the thing is its also very rare rarity.
-
@TAG said:

That does not mean that it is good for the match to prematurely end as a result. It is still more than possible for the Killer to mount a comeback, but the Key can just straight-up deny that. That is not terribly reasonable IMO.
Well honestly, I think they key that opens a hatch should be ONLY ultra-rare, not rare. Ultra-rare items and add-ons are very rare in bloodweb and they are meant to be filled with over-the-top once-usable power.

How silly of us, to assume that doing your objective while we can't stop you because we are camping is a viable way to punish camping. 🙄
I don't know what we were thinking! It's clear to me now that the only way to punish campers is to hold the Survivor's hands and let them instantly win any match in which a Killer is near a hook for over 0.000003 seconds. I mean, how silly of me! Assuming doing your objective was a viable counter! That takes effort! Ain't no camper-complaining Survivors got time for that!
They need to win in 2 minutes so they can come back on here and look for something else to nerf about Killers so they can win in under one minute next time!
Killers are not nerfed. The problem is the balance among the killer characters (powers and add-ons) themselves. Some killers are OP, some are average, some are totally garbage. Which is totally different from survivor characters which are practically just skin sets.
One time you all are crying about survivors genrushing, now you say they should actually do those gens and they should stop crying because you want at least one kill. Make your mind, killers.
-
Can be this finally adressed, devs? Literally NO ONE likes this mechanic.
-
Its funny how main killers are crying about any survivor thing that has allegedly no counter. Yet they reply here with bs like do gens (which is NOT a counter for a camper person). Kill survivors then, get gud and stop crying in your next anti-survivor threads.
-
Open chests x quicker - which is actually logical for a key
Cleanse totems x quicker
etc.
The aura reading is necessary for keys.

What if we assume that all players have skills at such a level that we are practically unable to improve them anymore, because they are close to perfection?
Thats the case of any game. You perfect your skills, you get bored by the same game mechanics etc. Dont know why you are crying here. Just go and find another game and then maybe come back when new dlc is released.

I think that Survivors have gotten so used to DS being a Killer immunity perk that they can't accept a version where it isn't one. They don't want this perk to be fair. It's really sad but not surprising. If you make a bad play, DS shouldn't be able to save you. You deserve to get hooked again.
Thats totally bs. Nothing other can save you from tunneling. Which is why this perks exists, to be a counter of that.

I'm a Rank 16 Killer right now, all I've been playing against are Purples and though some are SWF they were friends with the lower ranks, from what I could deduce anyway. As a Survivor i get Purples as well and go against Rank 20 Killers, it is so hard right now and frsutrating to start over with this #########. I have a level 3 Hag with base perks with 10-15 minute lobby times at Rank 16 and then get all Purple Survivors, so annoying and unfair. I had a rank 5 brag saying ''ez'' it was the stupidest thing i've ever seen, the intelligence is some players are single digits.
Yes, I understand when someone abuses the mechanics by bringing partying with low level friends. But my experience these days is that nothing explains why 10 - 13 lvl survivors should be matched with lvl 2 killers. Thats such a ######### bad matchmaking on devs side.

I'm fine with the hatch hunt and all 4 survivors escaping if all gens are done, But I'm tired of 2-3 man escapes when there is a gen to do. Make it where the hatch close's instantly when there are more than 1 survivors. I've seen this more and more lately people just get a free ez escape and then they become toxic at end game chat, its so easy to get as well you need plunders and you got like a 40% chance to snag a key.
3 survivors can escape when only 1 or 0 gen is left to be done. They would win anyway.
Your problem is that multiple peole can escape with one key. When multiple people are alive and hatch appears that means its very late phase of the match and you were not very good at killing people.
-
Your problem that you went for the game with 3 survivors with flashlights as a wraith. Pretty stupid of you.
-
It doesnt need to be reworked. This map offers diversity in the realm and higher difficulty for the killers. The only rework that is needed is your skill.
-
Yes seriously how is possible that killer is rank 18, have ebony mori and 4 3-level perks including the ones exclusive for other killers. Totally unfun for new players.

They've mention that in Q&A they would like to change insta heals, so it will now passively heal you over time rather than already heals you.
Thats not instant heal then. I dont see the point of having heal-over-time add-on if they created this new perk.
-
Its a life saver for most beginning players.
-
Why would they? They didnt say anything like that.
-
In literally most games. DC = you have to wait x minutes before you can join next match. I dont know why this was implented into this game already.
-
2K is depip in most scenarios. How can it be balanced around that? Survivors can die and still get a pip.

I have enough Ebony Moris saved up on my main that if I were to start using them all at once, I may as well have a fifth perk that is just an Ebony Mori. So to me, there is little difference between an OP add-on/offering and an OP perk.
But we are talking about normal players here. You and the similar ones like you add like 5 % of the playerbase.

Not every topic about balancing insta-heals needs to also be about balancing Moris and vice versa.
Killers crying about unfair survivors´ features is lot more common though.

They should all be reworked or removed. Keys, mories, instadowns and heals. No one enjoys getting robbed a down because of an instaheal and no one enjoys getting robbed a kill or 2 because of a key. No one enjoys getting insta downed or getting moried. It leads to toxic and unfair gameplay and involved no skill at all.
Then I would agree. But I hate the fact this thread (with its title and op) is so one-sided and doesnt really deal with the bigger problem.

@TAG said:

So if the weaker one-time health state got nerfed, logically, the stronger one should as well. The fact that it is an add-on instead of an item should not change that.
NO. IT SHOULD CHANGE THAT. Imagine if ebony mori was integrated to one perk. That would be the most OP thing ever. The difference is very important.
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/648211#Comment_648211
Pre-nerf MoM cannot be used more than once in a match. You are now saying inaccurate information.
In an individual match, Agent/Syringe is stronger than pre-nerf MoM.
As it should be. MoM is a perk, syringe is once-usable u-r add-on. Ofc it should be stronger.
-
@Nameless said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/648211#Comment_648211
So following that logic, mories are fine too. Hard to get offering and is lost after one game.
Im fine with them as long as they keep insta-heals. You want to get rid of them, then get rid of unfair killer´s items/add-ons/offerings as well.
-
@Nameless said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/648200#Comment_648200
Well to be honest, I don’t mind it changing if it gets reworked either. The introduction of healing over time would just be a nice feature for it because it would still be very strong.
I mean. My whole point is: Maybe lets delete all ultra-rare add-ons since most of them give a survivor/killer overpowered over-the-top ability that when is not countered by bringing similar op thing can mean the match cant be win for the other side.
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/648203#Comment_648203
The insta-heal bit is actually false. One insta-heal can cause a Killer to lose a substantial amount of momentum by making them lose all the time they spent in a chase. If it wasn't, MoM would not have been nerfed because by that logic, one free heath state wouldn't change the game.
Also, of the Ultra Rare insta-down add-ons, the only one that is potentially problematic is Irihead, mainly because of being able to use another add-on to give you more than one hatchet.
MoM is a perk. Perk can be used in all matches once you get it. MoM can be potentionally used more than once in one match. The comparison to once-usable hard-to-get ultra-rare add-ons is completely false.
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/648194#Comment_648194
Disagree. You don't need to be in an SWF to be near a Survivor when they go down to heal them. You also don't need to be in an SWF to bust out the Styptic Agent/Anti-Hemorrhagic Syringe at a loop and turn it into pre-nerf Mettle of Man without having to be hit three times by basic attacks first.
One insta-heal in the game wont change the game. Ultra-rare insta-down add-ons stay in the game the whole match.
-
@Nameless said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/648184#Comment_648184
Yeah and with this you wouldn’t have to use a perk to get a similar effect. That’s the point of this thread.
Well then the point is absurd, because it wouldnt be a reworking one add-on, but actually deleting insta-heal and creating one new add-on instead of it that wouldnt bring literally anything new to a gameplay anyway since there are already perks with the same effect.
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/648181#Comment_648181
Moris should be toned down too, Irihead is mainly a problem with Infantry Belt and should be adjusted as such, and Judith's Tombstone is not even a good add-on.
Insta-heal is the real problem only within swf groups anyway. I dont think the game should be balanced according to swf gameplay. If it was balanced for swf, then there should be mic "on" option for any survivor.
-
@Nameless said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/648163#Comment_648163
You wouldn’t have to take the time to do it yourself, you could just do a totem or work on a gen. In a chase it would warn the killer you’re going to be healed if he doesn’t down you quick enough.
We already have passive healing perks with the next chapter.
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/648163#Comment_648163
If you use it at a loop, you can still run from the Killer and get your heal if you evade them for a little bit longer.
Its ultra-rare. Its supposed to be over-top and op. The same as ebony mori, prayers beads (which is not even ultra-rare), iridescent head, judith tombstone ....
-
Camping and tunnelling killers punish themselves and gens usually pop out quickly. Its very easy to level up as a survivor at least to green rank even if you are a bad. Its much harder to level up as a killer in low ranks because you will face deranked survivors and swf in a lot of matches.
-
I would love Silent Hill crossover with Pyramid Head.

I don't feel insta heals fit the games current state. Something like a 12sec self heal would still be strong.
The point of INSTA-heal is to get heal instantly. 12s self-heal ? Then how would it be different from a good med-kit? EXACTLY
Insta-heal add-ons have their place in the game as long as killers have their ultra-rare insta-down add-ons and moris.
